Had dinner here. The Pizza has a yummy thin crust with plenty of toppings. The service was friendly and patient when I asked(Many) questions about the menu. The garden salad was expensive to order but was big enough to feed 3 of us. I would have given a 5 star review but I did not like that they charge $ 1.00 for a side of dressing — Tacky,

I love pizza more than I should. It’s my heroine. Pizza Centro in Santa Fe helps with my addiction. In my pizza addictive perceptions, this is the best pizza joint in town.

This is easily the best pizza in Santa Fe. The crust and sauce are perfectly NY style. Like all pizzas in NY, which is where I grew up, you can expect a variety of textures in the crust. It has a crisp soft thin bottom, and the edge has a touch of crunch on the outside, and light gentle dough on the inside. Fresh tomato taste in the sauce, and just amazing on the tongue. It’s clear the owner only uses top quality cheese as well. Incredibly fresh, brilliantly yummy.

Seriously??? That was my reaction to the garlic on the Central Park pizza, so intense it overwhelmed every other flavor in the pizza. I peeled back the cheese and saw gobs of minced garlic, obviously out of a jar, so excessive it was hard to finish a second slice. Was the chef drunk? This is the second specialty pizza we ordered at Pizza Centro that was a bust. The plain cheese slice I ordered from the counter one day was very good, but for a custom pie we’ll go to Back Road Pizza, on Second Street. P. S. — WHAT’s with the swirl of marinara on top of the other toppings rather than a layer over the crust?

Ok. Someone has no idea what a New York Style pizza is!

A little expensive, but very good quality. Better than the big chain pizza restaurants. Counter staff is helpful, like the taste of the crust.

My friend is a native new jerseyan. He thinks the pizza is pretty good and authentic New York flavor.

This is my kind of pizza. It is NY style. I had the pepperoni slice, a small house salad and a drink for just under $ 10. Pizza is cheesy, a little greasy(yum!) and the crust is a bit crispy and flavorful. The only complaint I have is there are only a few little tables, no music and is more like a takeout joint. Other than that, go get yourself some good pizza.

The pizza was good with interesting combinations. However, eating out is also about service. And if you’re a restaurant that accepts tips(as evidenced by a tip jar and a tip line on the cc receipt), you need to actually provide some service. Self-serve utensils and drinks doesn’t cut it for $ 40 worth of pizza. When the counter person brought our pizza my friend asked for some silverware and she replied ‘its over by the drink machine.” Sorry, but with tip(18%) we just spent a sizeable amount of money for casual lunch and you can neither deliver us a fork, glass of water, or napkin? No thanks.

As a Jersey native, I am pretty critical of pizza claiming to be NY style. So I stopped in for a slice(cheese). Cheese was delish, sauce was good, crust was a little crispy n yummy. Pretty much on point. The only thing is… it needs to be a little thicker. The slice pretty much fell apart as I tried to fold it and eat it. Because pizza ISNOT meant to be eaten with a fork n knife. Oh and $ 3.70 for one slice is crazy, js.

On 1÷21÷15 it was utterly dreadful. We’ll never go back. Not busy, some drivethroughs, but we were only ones in «café». These people don’t know how to use the space. Noisy, deafening, and there were only 2 of us and maybe 3 workers. CRASHCRASH with the pizza trays in the back; BANGBANGBANG when the hopelessly uninterested counter woman«cleaned» up around the front. At least the muzak wasn’t too loud. TOTALLY different than the Pizza Centro by Regal on the South Side. We live near this one, so we walk. We gave up about a year ago because it is such an unpleasant atmosphere. Like eating in a factory, or a steamship boiler room(just guessing). But all that pathetic, unnecessary ambiance aside, the pizza was the WORST I’ve eaten in memory, at least for 10 years. It is hard to avoid eggplant at this place — one of the saddest pizza menus I’ve ever seen in decades of pizza-eating. What is with the danged eggplant? So we always get the Chelsea, one of the few without eggplant that has a chance at some flavor. TERRIBLE! The crust on the bottom was sodden, and about 1/16″ thick. I know they think they are doing NY pizza. No way! Been to NY many times; they should sue these clowns for fraudulent misrepresentation. The green peppers were like 6 slivers on a 16″ pizza. Large swatches of cheese terrain. Where’s the meat? Never again. We used to like the floppy pizzas there, with their pretentions to being New Yawk style, but this was the pits. Bad night? Maybe. But the noise from the crew is the same as it always is, and that space is hard, noise surfaces and someone needs to care about the customers … or you will be out on your ear. The Design Center is a challenge, but the Cleopatra folks make it work, and so does the cut-rate reliable Chinese place(though they put those nasty little corn things in everything, without warning, almost like the forced eggplant régime at Pizza Centro). Never again. Never. Dreadful, awful. BTW, some pizzas are almost as good when you reheat them. Tonight, which reminded me of the horrid experience, there was nothing we could do with it. Sodden damp 1/16″ crust, thin sliverettes of green pepper, a few random sausage bits — I added about four slices of chunked pepperoni, so we had some flavor, but most of it had to be eaten with a fork. Almost required a spoon. Sad. «wet garbage» to quote from another(oddly positive) review. That says it, and unpleasant, even contemptuous workers, CRASHBANGCRASH. So, stick with Upper Crust, Backroad(though they’ve declined recently), Il Vicino, Pizza Centro Southside, Da Lino, Rooftop, or even one of the reliable chains(NOT Domino, no one should patronize them). But stay away from Pizza Centro north/Guadalupe.

A big fan of their TriBeca pizza! Speedy service! Pizzas take 15 minutes to be baked, and they have some good cannolis! Highly recommended for take outs/pick ups!

Good — pretty good. Surprisingly good. Now, I only had two slices at lunch, the alphabet and pepperoni — didn’t like the alphabet too much, but that’s just me. The single slice however of pepperoni was pretty solid. I’d like to go back and order a pie of my own — and I’m pretty confident it’ll be good. The crust is very good — not too doughy — had a nice crunch along with a slightly soft texture in the bite and of course a very good/traditional flavor. There’s a review on here from a New York guy(funny review) but he’s right — it’s «surprisingly» good. Agreed. Having grown up in Detroit we too consider any pizza outside our neck of the woods garbage. It’s nice to be proved wrong. :).

We had the Central Park pizza, which had incredible sauce and toppings. We ordered for pickup and used their drive through. Everything was delicious.

This pizza is delicious. It is definitely the best new York style in Santa fe but like everything else in Santa fe it is pricey! Just know you won’t get out of there for cheap but you won’t be disappointed either. Not much dining space either I usually get take out instead.

This pizzaria claims to be New York style pizza and they come pretty close. As a New Yorker I naturally assume that all pizza outside of NY tastes like wet garbage, but I was pleasantly surprised when Pizza Centro challenged my assumptions.

Nice tasting pizza at a reasonable price. Would like to see the crust more thin to live up to the nyc style they tout. I got delivery and everything went well. This is a excellent choice for pizza in Santa Fe.

Three cheers for more overpriced, mediocre at best, undercooked pizza in Santa Fe! Hip Hip Vomit! Hip Hip Vomit! Seriously, 50 bucks for 2 pizzas that require an additional 20 minutes in the oven at home so the dough is cooked through… bite me cause I sure as hell ain’t gonna be biting anymore of you.
