Let me first and foremost begin by saying I have never had such horrible service at a restaurant before, and we weren’t even inside for ten minutes. My friend and I were visiting from San Antonio and stopped in following a recommendation from a police officer we were chatting with earlier in the afternoon. We walk in, the guy at the counter ignores us for about 4 minutes while he is counting money… not even a hello, I’ll be right with you, nothing. Instead, when he lifts his head he greets us with«Hi Nig*as.» My friend and I look at each other and could NOTBELIEVE what had just come out of his mouth. I think we must have stood there for a minute trying to convince ourselves that the cashier at this«business» did not just greet us like that. Needless to say, we very politely said«have a good day» and walked out. It took everything in me not to reach behind the counter and tie him in a knot. If only it was over! We then started walking in the alley next to the restaurant to see the«oldest house in the United States» and hear from behind the screen door of the restaurant the same cashier call us «c*ck suckers.» At this point I was for sure I was going to say something; however, my friend calmed me down and we continued our day. We have had a wonderful trip but this one in incident has stuck with me and I felt compelled, though my first, to write a review of this«business.» Shame on you Upper Crust for briefly ruining two tourist afternoon with such crude and disgusting employees, and shame on me for letting someone else’s ignorance almost make me act of our character. Needless to say, I will NEVER be back and I was sure to call the police station to tell that officer what had happened and to NEVER recommend Upper Crust again.

Yow! Worst service and pizza in years. Ordered for pick up. Got there at the appointed time, they hadn’t even started it. Said it would be 10 mins. It took 20 mins. When we got home we couldn’t believe it. The margharita pizza was a mess — obviously had not be cooked enough, the bottom crust was a soggy piece of glop that fell apart the minute you picked up a slice. The mozzarella had never really completely melted it was just congealed into big lumps. We couldn’t even put it in the oven to finish it because the whole thing would fall apart if we tried to get out of the box. Thought about taking it back, but we’d already wasted enough time on this misadventure. If this pizza were served in NY or Chicago, it would start a riot. I don’t know why people in Santa Fe think highly of this place. Sloppy, disorganized and unprofessionally run.

Holy Smokes, this is a great pizza. I remember eating this pizza when I was younger. Someone would bring a box that when you opened it, smelled so delicious you just had to grab a piece before it was all gone. This was my first time in their restaurant. It is a down to earth place in Santa Fe with superb ingredients and a very cool staff. We did not eat on the patio because all the tables were taken. After ordering we figured we would have to wait a while but to our surprise, they were very fast getting our pizza out. We ordered the Classic Combo. I usually do not prefer olives on my pizza but I didn’t mind it. The crust, cheese, and toppings were perfect for our hungrey bellies. Upper Crust is off of the plaza but worth the steps taken to try and enjoy this well made pizza.

Life changing pizza. We had to try the Margherita pizza with some chicken and feta added… The smoked salmon salad was delicious!!! With artichokes and sundried tomatoes– it didn’t even need dressing it was so yummy!!! Pepperoni pizza was great for the kiddos!!! And they loved the lemonade. Beautiful outdoor seating! Highly recommend!

One of the best pizzas I have ever had. The décor and atmosphere aren’t much but, man, the pizzas are the best. Don’t miss this gem in Santa Fe.

I have ordered pizza from here many times in the past and done okay but tonight was the exception. I called in an order that was supposed to be delivered at 5pm. While I was ordering I repeated my phone number to guy on the phone at least 5 times and he still managed to get it wrong. When the driver showed up with the pizzas he was supposed to call me but he had the wrong phone number. When I called back to find out where the pizzas were the guy on the phone was pretty condescending about telling me they had the wrong phone number and that the driver had already left. He explained how I had made his driver run late, but«graciously’ made the driver turn around and come back. When the driver came back he was obviously ticked off and very roughly handed the pizzas to me. NEWSFLASHGUYS — IT’S NOTMYFAULTTHATYOUGUYSGOTMYNUMBERWRONG!!! Pizzas were also cold. I have been to this place many times before but I will not be going back any time soon.

We actually drive from Albuquerque to Santa Fe for the pleasure of Upper Crust. No frills, very simple pizza joint. It might be downtown, but this is a local place. Affordable, and exactly what it is supposed to be. We get a large veggie and a pitcher of coke and totally pig out every time. Some of our favorite pizza in New Mexico, and we eat a lot of pizza.

The whole-wheat vegetarian pizza was crunchy and delicious, literally loaded with fresh vegetables. My wife and I ordered a large but only ate half, so i’m lying in bed this morning finishing rest. Some of the best pizza I have ever had.

This place is terrific. The waiters are pretty terrible and because of it we accidentally got an extra free pizza. However the pizza was very good. Also live music.

We were in town for a family function and ordered several pizzas — a few regular wheat crust, and a few gluten-free for some non-glutenous family members. I tried both, and for the first time in my life could not tell the difference. Not in flavor, appearance or size. And there was no extra charge for the gluten-free pizzas either. In general the pizza was delicious and high-quality. Just as I remember it from when I was a kid and still lived in the area. Next time we come back to Santa Fe, we will definitely order from here again.

I went here on the advice of my tour guide, who said it was the best pizza in Santa Fe – I’m glad I did! Aside from the amazing pizza, the location is great, and the staff was extremely friendly. The young guy who helped me was fantastic. Highly recommended if you’re hungry for some pizza and find yourself in Santa Fe! Bonus: it’s immediately next door to the oldest church in continuous use in the US. Pretty cool!

The pizza here is very good. My wife and I stopped in while touring Santa Fe and had some micro brews and a medium pepperoni pizza. The crust is the way we liked it, crispy and brown. We will be back for sure. Nice beer selection too.

By far one of the best pizzas I have had in a while. The staff is friendly and the pizzas are delicious. I highly recommend the Margarita Pizza. We added pepperoni and garlic.

So it’s 1÷1÷16 I’m downtown of an evening and pretty much everything else is closed. I go to Upper Crust and it turns out that’s where everyone else is. My mistake with this place is to only go during the legislative session because it’s fast and easy. I should really eat here way more often even though I seldom do pizza. I had the Greek special on gluten free crust. This was kinda the opposite of chain pizza joints. Everything was hot fresh and clearly home made. One of my top 3 pizzas anywhere. The staff of hustling young«hipsters«we’re handling the max volume with grace and professionalism. Live music, reasonable prices, good food, great service. Now to just add it to my dining regular rotation.

I ordered delivery from here. I had a small Sunny Chicken Pesto pizza. It arrived quickly, the delivery guy was nice and the pizza is delicious! I might have to go by the restaurant next time I’m in town.

Visiting from out of town and loved the neat atmosphere and friendly customer service. The pizzas(meat lovers and veggie) were delicious! Crust and everything! Would defiantly go back :) Slight downside: parking is tight! We parked by the plaza and walked over.

Nice patio, crispy whole wheat crust, generous salads, even local wine harvested at 5,800 feet, by the bottle or the glass. Very Nice. This place reminds me of a locals place in Lake Tahoe, called Lake Tahoe Pizza. UCP unlike LTP, has a patio that really works for a summer’s night out. Right next to the oldest church in North America, and an awesome section of Sante Fe overall. I am raising this place to a 4 star as the food is pretty much a 3 star experience, especially for pizza hard cores. Those folks may be disappointed. Hard to say. Take the great service and ambience in, you don’t get that everywhere.

Ordered from here twice while in SF recently. The selections are pretty wide… lots of local options(read: green chile), plus the more traditional ones you might find. The crust is perfect; chewy and crispy where it needs to be, not over or under done, which is hard to do when you have that much goodness on top. Prices are reasonable, too. About what you’d pay for a chain, and they deliver promptly with no delivery charge. Since they often deliver to the tourists, they’re so thoughtful in including paper plates, packets of cheese/red pepper flakes, and napkins. Pretty handy when you’ve been tromping the hills and all over town, and just don’t feel like fighting the dinner crowds. Give it a try; you won’t be disappointed!
