Joy’s Hot Stone Massage

oy was wonderful to work with– I chose a hot stone massage. She was both knowledgeable and professional– but above all she had a greatly calming energy. She is a wonderful body worker– uniquely focusing on physical, psychological, and spiritual health. She will cater her services to you, always keeping your requests and needs in mind as her client. Her room is a place of serenity in the high desert heat– complimented by aromatherapy, and calming sounds in the background. I only wish I could work with her long time! For the quality of service, she would be justified in charging much more than she does!

I try not to be picky when going into a massage, but that hardly ever works out considering I have been around massage since I was thirteen. My uncle is a therapist and massage has been part of my life since before I remember. I have been a massage therapist since 2001. I usually generally enjoy massage as I think we are all lacking in this necessary form of human interaction: touch. As regards the massage I received from Joy when on vacation in Santa Fe, all I can say is that was the best massage I have had in a long time. She has an intuitive touch. She is not afraid to address the areas of concern thoroughly. The most important thing I think? She listens. That is my main pet peeve of therapists. They think they know better what you need than you do. Joy asked pertinent questions to tailor the massage session to me. She then followed through. Her techniques were seamless, and the flow was very relaxing. She incorporated some myofascial release, stones, and aromatherapy in the session. It was a full body massage, but she addressed my areas of concern just right. The pressure was very good, and she made sure to check in with me to make sure it was consistent. Her space was clean and organized and professional. I booked the appointment through her website, and her communication with me was prompt and professional. It was easy to locate. This was an all around great massage. I will return.
