Best place to shop on Santa Fe! After the remodel it just got better! Sushi is great, the wine selection is outstanding!

This is my go-to supermarket now. It’s no Whole Foods, but its really close to home and LEAGUES better than that crappy old Albertson’s down the road. It’s large, recently renovated, and they have a killer selection of high quality deli items like olives, cheeses, etc. They also have a fairly large organic section for a chain supermarket.

The produce was fresh, crisp and bright colors. We stopped by for some groceries on the way back to ABQ. My wife’s mom who lives in the ABQ area said she’d shop there if it were closer to her home. The store had everything we wanted. Santa Fe is a liberal town with a $ 10.84 minimum wage, which keeps it among the highest in the nation. Santa Fe also has a Reusable Bag Ordinance that requires places like Smith’s to charge you 10 cents for each paper bag. Nine cents goes to the city, and one cent stays with Smiths to cover administrative costs that Santa Fe has burdened them with. To my point, with the mandatory minimum wage and bag ordinance fees, you’ll pay more for products in Santa Fe than you will in outside of the city limits. I do enough shopping to know the prices were 10% to 15% more on average. Want plastic instead? Then you better bring your own. Ask residents or workers about the bag fees. You’ll get an earful. Another reason not to live in Santa Fe. But thank you Smiths for a very nice grocery store.

I am currently visiting from state California, I was disturbed and disrespected by a blonde worker and a manager whom followed me outside as I looked for my husband, if I needed help? I do have common sense and not stupid! manager asked if I had a receipt? I haven’t even bought anything yet? wanted to search my bag? very unprofessional and low class especially for a manager! WOW!poor management! I intend to call corporate show them a thing or two! you don’t go up to people accusing them of stealing!

As the primary shopper of my household, I’ve been shopping at this Smith’s location for the past six years. Even though I live closer to downtown and there are many closer options, I travel to this location because the staff are always so professional and friendly. Also, I feel like this Smith’s location provides all of the products I’m looking for at a cheaper price than Albertson’s or Sprouts. This Smiths local has bulk bins and a great produce section. The remodel of the store also has been a great addition.

Steve and Heather are GREAT! the other young tech is quite slow and messes up prescriptions most of the time. i end up having to ask her to repeat what I’ve asked in order for her to understand and she still goofs my meds.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great selection and the produce is fresh. Has self checkout which is great for that before you have to go to work rush. Always more than one cash register open. Nice shopping experience.

This branch of the Smith’s chain is pretty good. Staff greet you as you enter and leave and also point out things on special as you check out. It’s bright and clean and the fruit and veg seemed quite fresh. It’s got the usual selection of any large supermarket. If you’re debating between the big chains, this one is not a bad choice.
