Wow! My husband and I love trying new places. We decided to try the loyal hound as they had fish and chips and Shane loves to eat that. It’s located in a shopping center, but the entrance is around the corner and hard to see so you might pass it by like we did tonight. We were seated immediately as they were not busy and our waitress Erica promptly took our drink order. I love that your drinks come in cute mason jars and if you order a soda it comes in a can so you can pour into the mason jar. I had the house made lemonade and it was great. It wasn’t too sweet, but it wasn’t so sour you couldn’t enjoy it. For an appetizer we had the dirty fries. It’s French fries in a mushroom gravy with sautéed onions and cheese. It was different but good. The gravy reminded me of a Marsala type sauce. I had the Bert’s burger and fries and I enjoyed it. The green chile wasn’t spicy at all, but it had some flavor. My husband didn’t even order the fish and chips like he wanted. Instead he had the BLT and fries. The mayo was different as it was a black pepper mayo, but I’d didn’t detract from the flavor. For dessert we had the doggy bag. It’s cinnamon and sugar fried dough. You only get 3 but they were so warm and delicious. You can order dipping sauce, but we went al natural. We will definitely be coming back here as we had such a great time.

We are so lucky to have an authentic Santa Fean gastropub around. The menu is unique and full of goodies like green chile, bacon mac and cheese on cavatapi pasta and authentic Beignets. The menu is crowned by an open concept kitchen where you can see the preparation of your meal taking place. The breads and desserts are made in house daily. It is such a treat to have great service and food in the same place. I can’t wait for people from out of town to come and visit me so I can wow them with this place. If you don’t take beignets with you… you are dumb. The beer on draft changes seasonally but will always have something to please every palette. This is one of the most consistent places in Santa Fe. If you don’t want to be disappointed, sometimes that is all it takes.

I had the deviled eggs to start — delicious! My friend & I both had the fish tostadas. They were ah — mazing. The fresh fish was not breaded(yay!) & they were served on a crispy corn tortilla with fresh guacamole & cole slaw. Two were more than enough. Accompanied by the lovely north coast CA chard — deeevine! I rounded my meal out with the homemade angel food cake. So, so good — it really didn’t need the sprinkling of fresh berries or the homemade whipped cream(done lightly, thank you) — but I was thrilled they were there to join in the fun. What a treat for this biz traveler — wish I lived here. Well done Loyal Hound, well done! Cheers!

Casual restaurant /gastro-pub and good beer. I’d visit again the next time I’m in Santa Fe. Enjoyed a lazy weekday lunch here — and the servers were very nice to my Mom :-)

Everything on the menu is top notch. The fried olives are unbelievable and the chicken and waffles are addicting. For dessert you gotta go for the doggie bag, it’s like a little bite of heaven.

Hard to find, but worth it! If you’re going after dark, there is no lit signage for this restaurant. It is actually off Plaza Del Sur Drive. Google and Unilocal both place it inside the Smith’s grocery. You can’t even see if from the Smith’s lot. It’s on the West side of the Pizza Hut. Good food, great people. The fresh beignets are excellent; personally I’d skip the chocolate sauce(good sauce, but the beignets are so tasty they don’t need a good sauce).

Good food, excellent beer selection. Fifth star lost to the unfortunate residual fish odor from the fish and chips as I walked in the door. I had the steak… if you can’t see the water, don’t order the fish is one of my personal rules. Steak was fine.

Every time we eat here we are treated with the best service from entry to exit! The food is always incredible, & the beer«Rocks». This past Friday night was extra special as our 3 week old daughter gained the attention of the staff, & we were treated extra welcome even with a fussy infant. This is a true family friendly destination, and yet has enough room for the adults to separate from families & likewise. I recommend you try everything on the menu!

Santa Fe Bite, Second Street Brewery, Duel Brewery, Fire & Hops… so many other places I would recommend other than this place!

Flawless in every way. Superb beer and service from the start. The fish and chips were crunchy on the outside and tender and fresh on the inside. The shrimp and grits were the best I’ve ever had. Our daughter enjoyed the BLT with generous mounds of crispy bacon and she loved being able to pet all the local dogs on the patio. This dining experience was our favorite in Santa Fe.

Very fresh and tasty food. You can taste the freshness of the food. Staff was very polite and on top of it. The specials are the way to go and you can tell the chefs love their jobs and enjoy experimenting with local grown food. Only complaint was bathroom light was off and should maybe be put on a sensor.

This place is a solid 4 stars!.. Just imagine what they could do if they had a better spot? We were supremely lucky arriving around 6:30,7 and being seated immediately. They accommodated us at the bar to the right. I am a sucker for fish and chips and was told that I better try em, soooo I did. I was very pleased with the serving. Two large fish pieces on top of a layer of fries. I am an avid coleslaw eater and I have to admit I was disappointed with how fresh the serving was along with the taste. The brews were flowing and it was good to suck down a few La Cumbres down.

The Willburger is amazing! It is a fairly simple concept but it is unlike anything I have ever tasted before. Perfect! The fried olives and almonds are a favorite. Me and a date got pork and waffles to go the other night and ate them in a park and I just want to say thank you for a truly memorable night, Loyal Hound!!! The staff is awesome and my waitress the last time I went was a great person. She was sweet and charming without being creepy(i.e. winking, squeezing my arm, asking what I do for a living etc.) I love this place.

Perfectly cooked burger, great green chile, fast friendly service, unpretentious ambiance and location, and classy as all get out. Perfect place to stop in for a quick lunch or a lengthy dinner with apéritif and wine!

This restaurant should be in the top 10. I love their fried olives, salads, burgers, dirty fries, desserts, and most of all, their awesome, sophisticated, affordable beer and wine selection. The service is great, the atmosphere is laid back and charming, there’s a dart board… We have eaten there many times and have always had a good experience. I’d write a longer rave, but I’m heading there right now – and I’m hungry!

This place is a little hidden behind a Pizza Hut in a strip mall, and it’s a little off the beaten path of the touristy section of SF… but it is COMPLETELYWORTHIT to go there. This was the best meal both my fiancé and I have had in a long time. I had the chicken shortcake. It was perfection. Especially on a chilly night. My fiancé had the special wagyu prime rib, and it was amazing. SOTENDER, juicy, flavorful. A really simple, but extremely well-made dish. The wine was super good– I had a hard time figuring out which one I wanted and after sampling a couple of different wines I still had a hard time choosing… because they were all so good. The desert was a brownie and vanilla bean ice cream. The brownie was basically a pile of melty fudge(a good thing, obviously), and the ice cream tasted very fresh. The only hiccup of the night was that we ordered the chips and avocado dip with tomatillo salsa to start and they were so busy our server just forgot. They ended up bringing it out with our entrees, and the tomatillo salsa was the best salsa I have ever had. I would buy it in huge jars. The avocado dip was so good too– full of flavor and so fresh. I went back to our hotel room in an almost literal food coma. I can’t wait to come back here on our next visit to Santa Fe!

We just tried this new place in a strip mall on St Michaels and all I can say is wow! We’ll definitely be back. I had the Will burger — a patty of grass feed beef mixed with pork, topped with Raleigh cheese, applewood smoked bacon and an amazing onion relish(sweet with a bit of a spicy kick), and served on a grilled English muffin. Mmm mmmm good. My spouse wasn’t so hungry, so she skipped the meal and went directly to dessert. The tres leches cake is now the new champ in Santa Fe as far as she’s concerned! All in all, a wonderful addition to Santa Fe.
