Stopped into this charming-looking little shop, and was browsing the vintage boot collection with my friend, contemplating a purchase, and, impressed with the colorful display of row upon row of cowboy boots, I turned on my camera to take a picture. The proprietor RIPPED into me about taking a picture, and when I apologized and said I didn’t realize it was an issue, She ripped into me some more, indicating that«everyone knows» not to take pictures in Santa Fe. Well, I wouldn’t do it in an art gallery or other store where design is the stock in trade without asking, but these were vintage boots, for Pete’s sake! I’ve travelled all over the world, taken lots of pics In a respectful way, and have never been treated like that. Needless to say, we took a pass on the boots. Everyone else in Santa Fe was delightful and welcoming. Get over yourself, lady!

On a day during my trip when I didn’t feel like going anywhere or doing any more shopping, I decided to check out this store that had a stylish, funky postcard in the rack at my hotel. It was the best decision I made. The vintage and one of a kind western items were the best selection I’ve seen. Beautiful boots. Gorgeous hand-made, tooled leather bags. Cool leather and turquoise macramé bracelets. But the surprise to my delight was finding knowledgeable, witty owner of the store, Diane. I must have chatted with her for at least an hour, about life in Santa Fe, the stuff in her store, and where to go for country/western music and dancing in town. If you are looking for the real deal, check out Wahoo! I will definitely be back!

We stumbled into this vintage boot shop in Santa fe. My husband had been wanting a pair of boots but didn’t want to drop big bucks for them. Wahoo turned out to be the perfect place. The owner helped us find some once-loved Luchese boots that had never even been broken in. At ½ off retail pricing we were thrilled with the purchase. The owner was very helpful with fit and had a thorough knowledge of her inventory. They offer consigned and new boots and accessories. Good selection of vintage boots as well. A great little find!

It was by chance we ran across this quaint little cowboy/cowgirl retro store with a vast array of vintage boots and other vintage western items. I was on a mission to find a replacement pair of riding boots and searched all of the high end fashion bootmakers in Santa Fe. I had almost given up on paying anything reasonable until I found Wahoo. Diane, the owner, was helpful & fun to talk with. She agreed to contact the owner of the consignment boots I was interested in, and actually negotiated for a price I was comfortable with the owner of the boots. I got a beautiful pair of handmade Lucchese boots for a good price & left very happy.
