Tasty stuff, but the staff was SO not into being of any service… I can find another crêpe shop that will be at least as good and much friendlier I’m sure

I love this place! My favorite is the sonoma crêpe. Lucy the chef always does a fantastic job on our crepes. Great place for lunch or brunch.

Great bang for your buck! A good friend brought me here one day after a beach run. There are so many crepes(savory and sweet) to choose from, but I usually go for the special of the day. You can also make your own crepes. Ingredients are fresh and the crepes are pretty delicious. It’s an easy place to go if you are looking for something simple and low key and yummy!

I’ve been here a couple times for coffee and once for brunch and have been disappointed each time, especially for the price. Each time I order a coffee(caramel or vanilla lattes), they taste like there is no syrup in them at all and they have to ask me what my order is several times — super annoying. I even tried adding some chocolate sauce to my drink last time but then couldn’t drink it at all. We got 3 savory crepes and after waiting an inexcusable amount of time(there was no one waiting ahead of us), even salt and pepper could not make my meal digestible. No flavor despite the good cheeses and spinach involved, which I adore. I was really disappointed as I had high hopes for this place and will not be coming back.

This was by far the worst service I have ever come across. The poor guy running the register was new and messed up our order. He completely forgot my order and a few items on my kids’s order. That didn’t even upset us. We pointed out to the cook, who I suspect was also the owner that she didn’t get our order right and we needed a squirt of whip cream. She looked at me rudely and said, «it’s not showing on the computer». Like I ran the computer and entered my own order. I pointed this fact to her and she kept repeating the same thing instead of just fixing it and then she just walked away without even squirting the whip cream on my daughter’s crêpe. We took back our credit card receipt and walked over to the Crêpe Café around the block. The Crêpe Café was busy and we had to wait to be seated, but we soon realized why there was a wait. The crêpe was delicious and the servers all nice and competent. If you want poorly prepared crêpe, being overcharged and treated rudely then go to Acadie. Remember Acadie, it is not a crime to make a mistake, but when you have realized your mistake and refuse to admit or fix it, then you will remain as empty as you are now. You are lucky you get the hapless tourists going through the Promenade, but us locals will never return.

I really wanted to like this place and don’t take giving badly reviews lightly, but the service, the quality, and the flavor were all AWFUL. First off, I noticed that the prices on their menu board were not the same as those online, so they might want to get their web person on that. I ended up going with the Crêpe Suzette($ 6.50) with the option of whipped cream and chocolate added($ 1.50), so it was $ 8.75 with tax. I should have known something was awry when the guy taking the order looked so confused by the register, but I just guessed he was new and patiently waited for him to figure it out and then repeated my order again. I was watching as they prepared the crepes and was concerned by the brown liquid poured out of the plastic squeeze bottle onto my crêpe. What kind of Crêpe Suzette is this?! They then proceeded to give my order to the wrong people, meaning I had to wait for it to be prepared again. When it was finally finished and packed in a to-go container(that conveniently leaked all over my desk at work), I learned at $ 1.50 doesn’t get you a lot of whipped cream(about 1 tablespoon) or chocolate(less than a teaspoon) at Acadie.(That made my inner glutton not just disappointed, but almost angry…) The crêpe itself tasted kind of odd compared to the Crêpe Suzettes I’ve ordered in the past, which can be attributed to the brown liquid I suppose. The powdered sugar was like little hard pebbles on top. I’ve had better crepes from a street vendor in Paris that took a fraction of the time to make and cost less than half of this. In all honesty, I was forewarned by coworkers about this place when one of them was scalded by Acadie’s soups, then blamed by the employees for the burn instead of recognizing that their to-go wear isn’t functional, but rather a liability. Normally, I’d try to go back at least one more time to verify that it wasn’t just a bad day for them, but I don’t think anything could convince me to waste more money there.

After my euphoric yoga session in the same plaza, our group headed a couple doors down for a light lunch at Acadie. I’d walked by the place millions of times, so I was happy to finally get a chance to try it out. I was in the mood for a salad, so I ordered the smoked salmon one, which came with mixed greens, lemons and tomatoes. The smoked salmon was much too salty for my taste, but the ingredients were fresh and hit the spot otherwise. I washed it down with an orangina but I wish that I had tried one of the bottled French drinks that they offered in the cooler. The super Frenchy Frenchman who took my order was a nice touch… although it was a bit hard to communicate with him. The crepes look and smell amazing, so I’m looking forward to trying it again sometime in the future!

When I went to France several years ago, I had crepes every g’darn day. But always the sweet ones. Nutella… mmmm. I was craving some Eggs Norwegian but Monsieur Marcel stopped serving breakfast by the time I go to the Promenade(sidenote: brunch should totally be going till 3pm. New York has it right) With few good options in the area, we decided to try out Acadie Crepes. The place is pretty bare but has plenty of outdoor seating. I decided to go Savory and ordered the Maine crêpe(eggs, brie, green onions — hold the bacon, add smoked salmon). J got the Maine crêpe as-is. I got a soft drink — totally fine except the soda machine does not produce cold soda — more like very-slightly-chilled. So definitely get some ice when ordering. We sat outdoors and waited for our food. Since the crepes are made to order, they take a while to get. The egg was adhered to the crêpe with the rest of the toppings on top and the whole thing folded into a square. The verdict? My crêpe was overly salty. I think it was the smoked salmon that killed it, which is my fault, since I should have just ordered a crêpe without customization. J liked his with the bacon. You can get a side of fruit or potatoes. I got the fruit — mostly fresh stuff and a good variety. J got the potatoes — which were kind of odd because they seemed to have been boiled then tossed with butter or oil. I’ll give this place another try, since it’s okay, but right now it’s not a go-to place.

Acadie is a restaurant for people who know what they like. What do I mean? I mean, this restaurant is not for the adventurous of spirit. They have sweet and savory crepes(haven’t tried either, although I’ve had friends who have had both good and bad experiences with the savory crepes), soup(french onion soup wasn’t that great), omelets(last one I had was so-so) and build-your-own sandwiches. Now, listen very closely. The sandwiches are where the money is at. If you know what you like – you will have the most amazing sandwich of your life at Acadie. The grill the bread and melt on the cheese. They add heaps of whatever you request(bacon, mushrooms, avocado) and it comes with a side salad that fresh and a dressing that is made in-house and is divine. I’m not kidding, the dressing is divine. Not only do they make their salad dressing, they make the most amazing strawberry jam. I pile heaps of it on top of a baguette with goat cheese for lunch sometimes. The staff are friendly if you are friendly. They have a nice courtyard where you can sit outside and watch the farmers market on Wednesday afternoons. It’s reasonably priced and a staple in my weekly lunch rotation. If you don’t mind them messing up your order now and again, and the chance that it might not be as perfect as the last time you went, then this place will be heaven for you. It’s comforting, it’s quick, it’s delicious. I recommend it whole-heartedly.

I’m not sure what Kenneth R. is talking about, but I haven’t been to any creperies that do not hand craft their goods. The lack of eating options at the Farmers Market on Arizona led me to this place yesterday, and there were several reasons why the experience was not as newsworthy as the other creperies I’ve been. With the make up of a small sandwich shop, it was fun to sit at the counter to watch the chef crafting each crêpe. However, there was an awkward moment when she opened up a container and unexpectedly pulled out a handful of old yellow cilantro that really left me with a bad impression. I was thinking, «Hello?! The farmers market is right outside in front of you so how can you not use the freshest produce?» Although she did pause and eventually replace the cilantro with fresh ones from the back, it was still an unpleasant sight since my order was supposedly filled with veggies. My order of moment special($ 8.75) came with a razor thin outer layer of which lacked texture and softness. I thought the idea of having a mixture of turkey, cheese, tomatoes, avocado, and basil could be euphoric, but the little turkey I received to go with an abundance of tomatoes and cheese failed to give each bite the consistency it required. Besides the fact that the basil was not a factor at all, I thought the side of salad and coffee($ 1.65) was nothing to write home about. Service was okay. For crepes of this price range I thought the use of plastic utensils and paper plates was not the most appropriate and bad for the environment. I will not be coming back since a better option already exists on the Promenade. 2.5 stars.

This place was great. I got a «Nutella Crêpe» and it was really rich… I don’t know how much I gained out of it, but just wanted to indulge myself. My first time at this place, just right in the heart of 3rd street promenade. What a good way to enjoy a nice Friday afternoon after some sun tanning. I don’t want to say it’s super, duper fancy, but the place is cool, relax, and pleasant. The personel was warmth and cheerful so it made a good difference. Definitely will go back.

I love this place. I know that it’s not super«fancy», but the crepes are good, and you have a LOT of different choices here. I have had the california crêpe and the sonoma crêpe and the spinach one and one that I made up. Not all in one sitting… but over the past few years. The peeps who work here are friendly, nice, and french. They have cokes in glass bottles and orangina. The presentation isn’t amazing, but you can sit outside and people watch. I think my fave crêpe to date was the sonoma one. It had monterey jack cheese, chicken, and garlic. VERYGARLIC-Y!!! SOOOOGOOD! All the savory crepes come with a salad too… and their balsamic vinaigrette is yummy as well. I really, really like this place. It’s perfect for lunch on Saturdays while your’e at the farmer’s market!

Best place ever! Forget Café Crêpe, this place serves the best crepes on 3rd Street. Besides their affordable and delicious crepes(try the salmon!) there are some really great french baguette sandwiches. You can choose your ingredients, and if you choose cheese they grill the cheese on the crêpe grill. Terrific lunchtime option if you work near the Promenade.

It’s good to know that these crepes were hand crafted; machine-made crepes just wouldn’t do it for me. I wandered in here on two successive days and had a savory crêpe each time. The personnel(one taking your money and the other crafting the crepes) were French, and some of the customers were from the Hexagon as well. The banter between the French customers and the people behind the counter was enough to transport me briefly across the Atlantic. The crepes on the Rue Montparnasse in Paris are better than those of Acadie, but the crepes here are very good and reasonably authentic. They’re not big on jack cheese across the Big Pond, but the essential concept comes through unscathed. It was nice to sit outdoors on the patio next to Acadie on a late December afternoon. Watch out for the unexpected step down as you leave the interior, and watch out for second-hand cigarette smoke as you sit with your crêpe. It’s true, as others have pointed out, that the paper plate and plastic«silverware» are a bit of a negative. And prices are a bit steep for what’s in your plate. But the location can’t be beat. This is certainly a fine place to chill after a walk through the farmers’ market.

It’s located in an easy to walk by nondescript building on Arizona Ave between 2nd and 3rd St. The Menu is simple and not too extravagant. Just order and go/eat. Savory and dessert crepes at a reasonable price. The Savory crepes range from $ 8 — 9. Dessert crepes range from $ 4 — 8. They also offer salads and baguette sandwiches. I had the Harvest Savory Crêpe: Cheddar Cheese, Turkey, Onions, Cream and Mushrooms. Very filling and satisfying. I also had the Suzette Dessert Crêpe: orange sauce with Grand Marnier, chocolate and whipped cream. Not bad, but I’ve had better.

My sister-in-law took me here because just like me, she has a sweet tooth and so we went after we dropped off my dad at LAX. The place itself is nothing special, but gives you that whole in the wall feel. They have both savory and sweet crepes, along with a couple of other items. We got a dulce de leche crêpe, with caramel and bananas, and we added a scoop of ice cream because I was craving ice cream. It was good but looking back in retrospect nutella would’ve been better. Oh well. There’s a parking structure across the street that has the first 2 hours free, which in Santa Monica is unheard of, at least that’s what I thought. But beware, the elevator was a little screwy. Taking us up a couple of times, but that’s when everybody in the elevator realized the«ground» button doesn’t work and we had to get off at level 2. The crepes are whole wheat, but you don’t really taste it, so it wasn’t so bad

These people are fun to watch at the Santa Monica Sunday farmer’s market… making crepes to order. It’s amazing how quickly it all happens. I have always thought it would be great to have these chefs making crepes at a party.
