Dry Clean X Press

I’ve been using these guys for a little while to clean and press dress shirts and they’ve been about average until lately. They continually try to up charge. Dress shirts are posted as $ 2 but they try to charge a hand finish at $ 3.50 when you pick up. It’s even more blatant when the shirts are not boxed or finished properly with sleeves folded in on each shirt. Today I disputed it again and the owner I think came over and said they were raising prices to $ 2.25 even though it’s still posted $ 2. The whole thing smacks of bait and switch. There are just way too many choices available to put up with this. Just a helpful word of warning folks.

I don’t come here often, but when I do, the service has been terrific. There’s never any waiting and all the staff is very pleasant. I use a VIP discount card I bought many years ago, and they act as if they’re happy to give me the discount.
I dropped off a dress that my daughter borrowed from a friend, that although it was machine washable, I didn’t want to risk the fake leather trim. At the time I dropped it off, there was no mention of an upcharge for the trim. At pickup, the nice lady said the high cost was for the leather. I pointed out that it’s not leather at all, and that I hadn’t been warned about it. Without blinking an eye, she said, «No problem. We’ll waive the extra cost.» The dress looked beautiful and we were very happy.
I’d use them more often, but the cleaners by my work in the valley is about 50% less expensive and really good, too. Their high «menu» of prices is the only reason I don’t give them 5 stars.

I love this place. I noticed what had to be a very old stain on one of my dresses and I took it to dry clean x press in case there was anything they could do. Susie the owner took a look at it and said she’d do her best — they got the stain out! I couldn’t believe it! These guys are amazing!

Do NOT go here! This place is horrible! They ruined my skirt!!! I took it in to replace the elastic band since it was busted, and they did a horrible job! I asked them to re-​do it because they completely ruined it and it just looked cheap. The original lady quoted me at $ 12.00, but the second time they insisted they said $ 18.00 and I had to pay $ 18.00. When I went to pick it up for the SECOND time, it still had the stitch marks all the way across the top, again ruining the look — and again, I had to pay $ 18.00 for it. I asked to speak to the owner and said that when I originally brought the skirt in, it did not look like this and I wanted to know what they could do to fix it. I kept my composure through the whole thing and she started raising her voice at me in barely understandable English. I took my skirt, paid the ridiculous $ 18.00 and would be happy to warn anyone from making a big mistake!

The worse service I ever had! They destroyed my new red Ralph Lauren pants worth 600.00, when I came to pick them they were white! I was shocked! And there is no more size left in any Ralph Lauren stores in US! I am so pissed! And dresses weren’t clean either and still smell like sweat. They are just horrible! I am so disappointed!

Fast and quality service but most importantly, the parking is great here. I always make my trip to the cleaners here when i go on my routine run to Albertsons, which is in the same plaza. I’m pretty particular about the way my dress shirts are pressed and these guys do a perfect job with them. What’s good about dry clean x-​press is that I can use any of those coupons that I get in the mail from other cleaners and they’ll let me use them for a discount. Basically, I can always get a discount here.

Taking care of year end cleanups, both paperwork and closets, I realized multiple pairs of pants were underutilized as they required 3+ — inch heels to be worn. Not gonna happen enough to let them hang, shortening in order and time to do so, I returned to my alteration destination for quality workmanship at fair price. Left dry cleaning as well, picked it up perfectly cleaned and pressed just like the alterations!
Remember to present discount coupons at drop off. Wire hangers gladly recycled, which I did.
Wardrobe expanded, I’m still a fan, if only Dry Clean X Press were in my zipcode…

This is my neighborhood place. Friendly service and they’ve always done a good job with my dry cleaning and laundry.
The one time I had a problem with a lost shirt the owner Susie immediately made it right with some store credit.

I’ve been going to Dry Clean X Press for over 18 years and I love this place! Dry cleaning, alterations, customer service, quality of work, punctuality regarding items being ready — all have been excellent. Also, everyone that I’ve ever recommended to come here has been happy as well. I actually feel lucky to have a place so good, also be so close to my house. Lovely neighborhood cleaners!

Funny how a day after I gave them 1 star, there is a raving review about the same AWFUL owner Susie… totally confirmed that this place is a scam and they are just trying to cover up for their failing business. DO NOT PATRON THIS PLACE!!!

my family’s been going to this cleaners for about a decade now and not once was there a problem with their service or quality. i even like the clean scent on the clothes when i get it back. the vip card that i bought is SO worth if you go to the cleaners frequently.
a couple times i needed something on a rush and they were able to pull some strings for me and get it ready in time… for no extra charge! i felt bad because it seemed like they were really busy that day too. the manager (or owner?) susie was really sweet and makes me want to come back.
in conclusion: get the vip card because it’s well worth the investment and they can bend their rules a bit if you need something faster than the usual.

my new suit pants destroyed, ripped to hell and buttons missing. not even a sorry sir. they fixed them with an effing different color material. never again one star.

Hands down the best dry cleaners I’ve been too…:) The staff is really nice and very friendly I’ve been going to them for over 10 yrs now. :) we use to live by there and we decided to give them a try… since the previous cleaners had accidently lost our clothes one time… and just asked us to give us full refund for it… I find that pathetic but this cleaner is very professional :) I must say :)

I’ve used them regularly for dry cleaning, and I’ve never had any problems. They’re organized and fast, and I’m always happy with the the job they do.

Hands down the best dry cleaners I’ve been to, and great price for what you get. I’ve been coming here for 4 years and loving it, but writing a review now because the poor bastards worked on my suit for 2 weeks and performed a miracle and deserve to be recognized.
I got hot candle wax all over my black suit – it dried and would not come off They dry-​cleaned it 2 or 3 times after having one of their employees pick off all the wax by hand. It must have taken the guy hours. I would never have even bothered if I was the owner. And the charged me lik $ 8 dollars or whatever they charge for a suit.
Also the service is amazing here. The staff doesn’t really remember my name or do any small talk, which kind of sucks, but they work incredibly fast and efficiently. As soon as there is an extra person in line, someone quickly opens up another register. I’m always in and out within 2 minutes., no joke.
Their alterations are nothing to rave about, so don’t go there for that. But in terms of bang for your buck, this is the best place I have found.

I went there for the first time because since it was closest to me and I just moved to Santa Monica so I don’t know any other dry cleaning places around. All I can say is this place suck seem like they just throw out random prices for the garments. Anyway I don’t think I will be back.

What an experience! I had been going to DryCln X for 10 years. I dropped off two LP cashmere sweaters and received back two wrecked garments. After a lot of time wasting, the owner «susie» told me I would have to sue if I wanted compensation, which I did. I won in SM Small Claims Court and was awarded $ 1800.00. No one wins in Smalll Claims court unless it is so obvious that the judge has no choice. I can’t say how anyone else would react to the same circumastances but DC Xpress made it really hard for me to resolve the case short of suing. I go to Metropolitan now and the work quality is much better, also cheaper.

I’ll be the first to admit that I probably go to a dry cleaners maybe a couple times a year. In the past, I didn’t get emotionally attached to any employees and was able to visit different dry cleaners without the feeling of guilt. Well, I think I finally found «the one.» I’ve been committed to Dry Clean X Press for the past year because I just LOVE how they got some stains out of whites I thought were impossible to remove. All my clothes looked as if I just bought them off the rack — again. Their rates are fairly average, but with my handy discount card I bought last year, I’m getting a bargain.
Located at the corner of Ocean Park and Lincoln (in the Albertson’s shopping center), it’s tucked away where most people will miss it. Oh, they also own the sewing store next door which means they also do alterations.
