I originally went to see Melany to quit smoking. I was a little skeptical at first, but I tried everything else (patches, gum, even prescription drugs) and nothing seemed to work, so I figured why not try. I was shocked at how quickly it worked for me! After just one session, I was able to stop and I haven’t really had the horrible cravings. Since then, I’ve gone back a few more times to work on other things and I’ve seen a huge improvement in my life. In fact, I would recommend Melany to anyone whose struggling with a bad habit or an old way of thinking. Hypnosis basically helps you erase the old tapes you have in your mind. Its really the best gift you an give to yourself.

I really really like her. She is a very nice person, smart, focused, and relaxing. She has helped me through a few tough demanding times. She even took the time to speak with me a few times over the phone to guide me when I couldn’t make it in without having to make a formal appointment. I’ve referred friends to her over the past few years, and everyone has raved about her.

Melany is such a nice person. When dealing with mental professionals, chemistry is key. I was skeptical about hypnosis prior to meeting Melany, but her sessions are relaxing and very visual.
Hypnotherapy only works if you want it to. It definitely helps if you’re a visual learner and if you are open-​minded.
I’d highly recommend giving Melany a try!

I went to Melany around Jan I believe. I had a huge presentation coming up and wanted to see if this would work for me to calm nerves. She said over the phone that we would test to see if I would get hypnotized and wouldn’t charge for the visit if not. We tested. It didn’t seem like anything was happening. Then we did a 20 min session where she told me to imagine a calm beach etc and recorded the MP3. But during the recording, given that I wasn’t hypnotized at all and the tape hasn’t helped me. I paid the full fee ($ 120) for the session and got nothing out of it other than knowing it didn’t work for me.
If you go, be clear if it doesnt seem to work for you and stop her if she wants to go on so you can save your $ and take an Improv class or something to get over fear of presenting to/​performing in front of crowds.

I changed my review from 1 star to 3 because Melany was nice enough to get in touch and let me know that she didn’t realize it wasn’t working for me. Again, be clear. She’s nice and wants to help. But undoubtedly hypnosis doesn’t work for some people. I appreciate her honesty and willingness to make things right.

Melany is truly amazing!

Her beautiful energy, patience, understanding and skills to analyze my thoughts and suggest to me the switch needed to live life more free and positive with meaning, direction and joy has been spot on.

I never really thought of hypnosis as anything other than a crazy way to make people do funny things like bark when they hear certain words. I saw a stage hypnosis show in high school and it was pretty fun.
Fast forward eight years to where I’m in L.A. trying to make a living as a professional actor. Anyone who’s tried this sort of thing knows how incredibly difficult this can be. I had some early success with a few national commercials and even a small speaking role on TV. After a string of non-​bookings, though, I seemed to lose my groove and I stopped auditioning as much as I had. Consequently, I was getting more and more nervous before the few auditions that I did get. The stakes seemed higher and higher and my hands would get sweaty, my breath would become uneven and I just wasn’t putting out that kind of confidence that casting directors are looking for. I was also getting nervous that my nervousness would get back to my agent who might drop me.
I saw Melany speak at an actors organization of which I’m a member and she explained how she has successfully helped many performers with stage fright, using hypnotherapy. I was skeptical but intrigued and figured that I don’t really have much to lose, so I called her up the next day and scheduled an appointment.
Melany was extremely professional and took the time to explain what she was going to suggest to me once I was in the hypnotic state. It was fantastic! I can’t remember the last time I was so relaxed and I remember the whole thing. Apparently, I went pretty deep under and Melany seemed confident that I was going to be pleasantly surprised at my next audition.
She was right. At my next audition, I was COMPLETELY RELAXED! I can’t emphasize enough how much of a difference this was and this was after only one session. I didn’t book that commercial but my confidence is back big time thanks to the tools that Melany gave me. She helped me regain my confidence big time and I can’t recommend her enough.

Melaney is AWESOME! I was totally nervous and sketchy about trying hypnotherapy at first, but Melaney has a way about her that totally puts you at ease. She’s fun and down-​to-​earth, and very easy to talk to. After just one session, Melaney’s methods helped me stop biting my nails! I would highly recommend Hypnoswitch’s services to anyone.
