This is the only Subway I really eat at anymore since it’s near my work, but it’s really no longer an option. The prices just go up and up and the portions go down. I don’t know if it’s priced differently because of the location but it’s turned into a rip off; more expensive than the higher quality, bigger portioned mom and pop options nearby, which is what I now stick with the vast majority of the time. I usually get a stomach ache from the food here, and the last time I went I got a 6 inch sub on their 6-dollar meal combo, made it «deluxe» and at check out said I’d like the combo with my deluxe sandwich. The guy said they don’t do the deal if you order deluxe. Frustrating, but okay. I said I don’t want the combo then, just the sandwich, and he still rung me up for the combo and looked at me like I was an idiot because I didn’t know the rules(which aren’t stated anywhere) and because I didn’t want to pay an extra 1.50 more than I should be paying. If this is a representation of Subway as a whole, then they’ve really gone to shit, though if they pick their management like they pick their spokespeople, is that really a surprise?

Looking for a winning breakfast egg sandwich that’s not served all day? So did The Wall Street Journal. * So did I but not the DIY variety as per the article. My current faves include both high-end Thyme Market & Café’s Fried Egg Pretzel Croissant
And chain Champagne Bakery’s Le Metro Breakfast Sandwich
So ingredient sources, ambiance aside, would considerably less expensive, non chi-chi Subway’s six-inch or foot-long equivalent, served until 11:00AM, measure up? Why yes it did. Went with the smaller. Egg(whites only also available), bacon and choice of cheese, toasted then assembly-lined to veggie options where I added bell pepper, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, no sauce. Fresh, filling and only $ 4.11! Think there’s a free coffee option but didn’t pay close attention, as I was already caffeined out. Enjoyed my sandwich on the patio where flies and birds competed for crumbs, whatever, all God’s creatures gotta eat. Free parking in above or underground lot behind center, residential limits on surrounding streets, meters on Ocean Park Boulevard. Friendly, self-starting staff! *

shitty customer service & hardly any of the workers speak English. I accidentally cut my foot on the door coming in, and was denied a bathroom key, even though I was a paying customer. Then I asked for a bandaid and had to explain what a band aid was to the non English speaking worker who then told me «we no have those.» Seriously? No band aids. This place and its employees is a joke.

Everyone that works here is very friendly. It’s always clean. It’s Subway. Only complaints are its often busy and I wish they did some sort of discount because I eat here almost every day.

This location is close to my job so it’s a great location to grab a quick bite. However, the manager Lynda, she’s stingy and short with customers. The rest of the staff is overly friendly and welcoming. Each time I’ve experienced Lynda, she made me not want to return. The other employees along with the location is the reason I’ve returned. However, after today, no more. For some reason the veggies looked slightly old. I’m guessing it’s because Lynda is tight with putting them on the sandwiches. A 6 inch sub warrants 3 tomato slices. Thus, a foot-long SHOULD warrant 6 tomato slices. She comfortably gave me 4 and 1 of them was missing the insides. She put spinach on one side of the foot-long and barely touched the olives. When asked for more of all that was missing, she huffed with an attitude. I knew then I needed to write a review. If you aren’t going to follow your OWN company’s guidelines, do not get upset with the customer when they correct you on YOUR error. She’s not good at all. I feel bad for the rest of the employees that have to work under her. The other Subway is 2 miles away. I’ll drive those 2 miles with a smile vs this 10 minute walk with an attitude. Never has a Subway given me so little veggies with a bad attitude to boot. Shame on it all.

Stay away from this branch! i love Subway but yesterday I got a salad that was a fraction of what I get at any other branch. I will be letting Subway Inc know about this.

Went to use the restroom before ordering a sandwich. Was yelled at by employing that there was no bathroom as a customer walked out, then jumped in line. Sandwich builder also added ingredients I did not request, so they had to tear it apart. clean place, bad customer service.

The people who work here are so nice. I kinda look forward to seeing them while my wife and I eat there. The whole place is clean and organized very well. Keep up the good work! !!!

I come here on occasion and have never had a bad experience. The food is typical Subway and 99% of the time the workers are fast, friendly, and hard working. I guess if one comes during the busy lunch rush there might be issues but I’ve always come early evening and have been satisfied in all regards.

Subway is Subway. But this one is especially awful. They skimp so badly on ingredients, then make you feel like a gluttonous jerk when you ask for more. I do not recommend it at all, regardless of your level of desperation.

Good place to grab a quick lunch. It gets pretty crowded when you go during lunch peak hours. I hate to be bearer of bad news, but all the reviews are spot on when they say this particular subway skimps out on the veggies. the barely put any lettuce and tomatoes. I had maybe like 5 or 6 jalapeño pieces on my 12 inch sub. The plus side was that they did give me a lot more meat than usual. Subway is subway, what more can I say?

Give everyone a raise, especially Alfonso. That place was so busy, and people were being rude, and I had a sandwich order for three people, but the employees here were efficient, happy, kind, unstressed – Give them a raise!

A Subway is a Subway right? I come here often because I work down the street. Only complaint is that they really skimp on their vegetables. I usually get a 6″ sub and when I ask for more onions. They literally throw on 2 more strings.

The worst subway. The people who work here know very little english and the other day they were sweeping dirt near me while eating. I was like wtf. The workers also act rude towards me every time. Quality of everything is old too

I have always had a soft spot for Subway. But this is by far the worst location I have ever been to. They don’t have a bathroom(wtf??) and inexplicably seem to be full of loud irritating children and parents during lunch, despite being across the street from a business park. I occasionally forget how awful it is and try to come during my lunch hour, but hopefully writing this review will remind me not to. Go to the food trucks in the OP&31st lot.

This is a good place to pick up some quick food if you were short on time. I came here a couple times and always had a good experience, but stopped going after getting food poisoning from this place. Food poisoning… pffffff… what are the chances of getting it twice from the same place? Well, make that three times! I have to admit, it was foolish of me to go back after the second incident, but I never thought I could get food poisoning from the same place 3 times in a row. Because of this experience, I can no longer eat at any subways. Beware! BTW, my usual order is the oven roasted chicken breast on either wheat or Italian herb and cheese.

This is a Subway. Do I need to tell you about Subway? Probably not. It even has that Subway smell. I live down the street, so I usually find myself here when nothing is open in my sleepy little neighborhood. I would imagine it’s crowded during the lunch rush because of the business park, but at night, it’s pretty deserted. Parking is free, which is nice. Why am I reviewing it? Orange Bang! Yes, there is a separate soda fountain just with Orange Bang, horchata, and jamaica. I freaking love the stuff. I don’t know exactly what is in this sweet, frothy, creamy, «whipped orange drink,» and I will probably have Type 2 diabetes someday, but damn it, it is delicious. A friend of mine tried calling the corporate headquarters once to find out where exactly they serve it, because you just have to KNOW places. They were completely rude and dismissive, and seemed mysterious and elusive in giving any information about their product. Doesn’t matter though. It’s amazing. And I’m glad I don’t have to drive to Westwood to get it anymore, because I totally used to. I know this review is more about Orange Bang than Subway, but yeah… it’s Subway.

Subway is Subway as far as taste goes. What drives me nuts is that every time I order a sandwich, I request to include all the ingredients. But they always leave out the spinach, the cilantro, and sometimes the green bell pepper! I find myself having to repeat and tell them to include those ingredients. I know they’re doing it purposely, in hopes that I might forget or decide not to correct them. And really how much do onions and olives cost? They are like chump change. When I say«I want more», I don’t think adding five more slices of olives and strings of onions are going to cut it. But that is what I have to deal with every single time. And I find that there are numerous Subways that go by this kind of practice. Cheap a$$es.

Let’s just start with — I visit this location at least once a day when I’m in not traveling. I’m the mayor on FourSquare. I just received my «Century Club» badge for visiting 100 days(not TIMES. DAYS). I live and work in Santa Monica, less than a mile away from this location. I never visit during the lunch rush, as I always pick my salad up in the morning. Every day it’s the same — Veggie Chopped Salad. No cheese. Everything but tomatoes, cucumbers, and pickles. No dressing. ONEHORRIDWORKER is responsible for the fact that my MOSTVISITED place on FourSquare gets only three stars. There’ve been two days where I walk in, see that my nemesis working, and I immediately walk out. Today, I finally have to vent about it. I just went in — and let me tell you, the lunch«rush» is no rush. It’s not hardly as bad as the Wilshire/14th location. I get my usual salad(which, mind you, probably costs them $ 0.45 including the packaging — and they now charge $ 5.25 for) made by my worst nightmare. I of course get hardly any veggies, so I ask for extra olives and extra onions. He sprinkles a few on. I also have to ask for extra lettuce, since he gave me practically nothing. He then rolls the chopper over the salad a few times, and passes it on to the next person. Instead of putting it in the bowl, this worker sees that it’s NOTCHOPPED, so she starts to roll the chopper over it some more. The JERK says«no more, it’s chopped enough.» I look at him. Blink rapidly. Speechless. After he can’t take my evil eye anymore, he says«Oh, did you want it chopped more?» Screaming on the inside, I just smile with crazy eyes and shake my head no(yes, I’m one of those people). Seriously — this guy needs to be GONE. Or I need to know his work schedule and only come in when he’s not around. I never have a problem with anyone else — I always get my salad how I want it. It’s just a bummer that I spend at least $ 30 and a lot of my time there every week, and there’s one guy who who makes it miserable.
