Having a great mechanic that you trust in LA is key. I’ve been taking my car to Sergio for around 15 years, I followed him from his old location. I’ve brought 3 different cars to him over the years, a ’66 Mustang, an old Ford Taurus, and now my semi-​old Infinity, and he’s never failed me. The turnaround has always been quick, and the work is top notch. The one time I got a quote from another place because I needed a new tire and they told me that a strut was broken, they gave me a quote to replace the 2 front struts and I told them no thanks. Brought it to Sergio and the quote was around $ 100 less. I always felt like he was being honest with me, and this confirmed that my trust was justified. I’ve recommended him to friends whenever I hear that someone is looking for a mechanic on the westside, and they’ve all thanked me for it. Best mechanic in LA.

This place is great! So glad my friend referred me. I’ve been here 10 years and it’s tough to find and honorable car repair company. The reason I came here: head gasket blew, took my car to the Honda dealership. They tried to charge me over $ 4000 for a head gasket job. Went to Sergio, $ 1600 and he threw in replacing my front brake pads. I would HANDS DOWN refer him in a minute to anyone. I just don’t want him to get too busy, so he has time for me!

I’ve been bringing my cars here for years and Sergio is the greatest! He always shows me how much the parts are and is very straight forward on labor. He is the most honest and fair mechanic I’ve ever met. No matter what time he is always willing to help and will check to see what’s wrong as soon as I come in. I highly recommend!

They really are the best! I have taken my car in for everything from an oil change to major body work, and I have always received the absolute best service and value.

I was with my previous mechanic for over 20 years and he was like a brother to me. When he retired I never thought I would be lucky enough to find someone as honest, qualified and caring as he was.

Sergio is every bit as good as my previous mechanic. Honest and really good at what he does. As long as Sergio is in business, I will be a loyal client!

I got my oil changed here, and the service was great. They said around 3 PM, I called around 3:30, and voila, they were already done. Added bonus, it was only $ 38 for conventional oil, and I dare you to find a better value in Santa Monica.
Just a warning, they don’t really have a waiting area so I recommend having a place to go or a plan for after you drop your car off. That aside, the staff at Lopez are polite and efficient, and most importantly they stick to their word and they deliver. I really can’t think of a reason not to get every oil change here!

Sergio is an excellent mechanic with great integrity! He took care of my aging Porsche Cayenne and got it back into shape at a very affordable price.

The best! I’ve been taking my cars to Sergio for 2 years now and am extremely happy with his services. He’s friendly, competent, honest, helpful, and reasonably priced. He doesn’t try to upsell or overcharge like other places I have taken my car. He’s not going to try to convince you to get all these other services like oil change shops. He gets the work done very fast, but doesn’t try to rush you — and he cares about his customers.
Also, I’ve had several cars in the past couple of years — domestic and foreign — and he’s been able to work on them all.

When I decided to keep my car after the warranty ran out, I realized it was far too expensive to do maintenance and repairs from the dealer.
My friend recommended Sergio and I have now been a loyal customer for 3 years and will continue to be. He is beyond reasonable and fair in in his pricing along with being pleasant and professional at every turn.
It feels good to have a ‘family’ mechanic. So much nicer than dealing with ‘corporate’!

Sergio is the best. He changed my oil and I didn’t realize he leaves at 1pm on Saturday’s. I was ecstatic to see that he parked my car on the street and put the key under my seat. He did a great job with my car and is very honest and accomodating. I will continue going to him, he is one mechanic you can trust.

My dad has been going to Sergio for as long as I can remember so of course when I moved out here over 10 yrs ago he became my car guy too.
I know I can trust him. He will fix what needs to be fixed at a good price. He will recommend what else should be done and give reasonable time frames on how long you can wait on it and he won’t pressure you into doing work on your car if it isn’t necessary.
If you are looking for a Shop you can Trust. THIS IS THE PLACE!!!

Sergio and the guys are the best. I have been taking my 2000 4runner there for 5 years and have sent numerous friends. He is always fair and explains your options.
The shop is not flashy (a real mechanic shop should not be) but the value is there.
