This review is for FARIBA. She did highlights and lowlights on my hair this weekend and they came out amazing. It looks so incredibly natural it’s hard to believe this isn’t my natural hair color! She is an absolute perfectionist which is exactly what you want in an stylist. i have extremely high standards when it comes to my hair and she blew me away. i brought along a bunch of pictures and didn’t even have to show them to her — she knew exactly what i wanted. I will absolutely be going back to Fariba!

This review is for Carol Haas.
I have curly hair and went to Carol based on a friend’s recommendation.
She was awesome. She cut, colored and highlighted my hair and I couldn’t be more happy with the results.
When I got home, my husband said it was my best hair cut ever.
I was so happy i booked my next appointment already!

I moved from to NYC to LA and was terrified to find a new hair stylist. A good friend recommended Elizabeth at Manu so off I went. I am thrilled! The salon is clean, bright and relaxing. Everyone is friendly and I have found it easy to park on the street. Most importantly I always leave looking and feeling great. Elizabeth is a fantastic colorist/​stylist, listens and gives the most wonderful head/​neck massage. I wish I could come here and just get my hair washed every week. In each of my visits see other clients leaving happy which increases the comfortable vibe in the salon. I love going here.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Today was my first time at Manu Salon. I walked in the door at 10am to find that the person doing my hair is in the hospital. I had purchased a groupon for $ 55 for a cut, color, and blowdry. My company Christmas party is tonight and my hair looked all ratty and gross (months of no cut or color).
Instead of sending me home, this Salon decided to help me out. They fit me in even though they had a full schedule. I had one person put on my color — she was amazing (got every single hair for sure). After that, they gave me a deep condition because I was going to need to wait awhile before the hair cutter was available.
I got my hair cut and styled by Carol Haas. She did an excellent job with the cut and the style is amazing. I walked into work and people could not even tell it was me. She went above and beyond to make sure that my hair looked great!
Thank you Manu International for honoring my groupon and making me feel special for my Christmas party. You did not have to help me out but you did.

This review is for Carol Haas, who I had the pleasure of meeting last night for the first time to do my hair. I felt inclined to post this review because I have long straight hair and most of her other reviews were for curly hair. I think we can all agree it’s always a little nerve racking to entrust someone with your hair for the first time. I found Carol from a Groupon, she gave me a great deal and I scheduled my appointment. I have naturally dirty blonde hair and I usually add high lights to it, but I don’t want to walk away looking like a «bleached blonde». Carol did an AWESOME job on my color, and cut. She also gave me a few product recommendations to help with some hair and skin issues I’ve been battling.
Oh — I forgot to mention that the last 2 stylists that I’ve tried out (also through Groupon), I had to go back to each one of them to have them make minor corrections to their high lights. which is also frustrating. I love what Carol did to my hair, and will definitely be back again!

So i barely right any Unilocal comments but if you go to this salon You must see Fariba! Hands down, best hair stylist in Santa Monica and LA! I have been going to her for more than 10 years now and every single time I have been beyond satisfied… Every time I do my highlights, I get so many compliments from random people. For the past year, She’s been doing Brazilian blow out for me too and totally LOVE it! She’s a perfectionist and doesn’t even leave one strand of hair out… I absolutely recommend Fariba!!!

Carol is my life saver, or at least my hair saver. I have a lot of hair, totally out of control. Carol has done my Brazilian blowouts for the past year. They make my life so much easier, they make my hair manageable and super soft, keep it from being frizzy even in high humidity and last exactly 3 months.

Elizabeth started cutting my hair in 1997, and she’s the only one I’ve trusted since! Even when I moved back East for a few years, I would wait until I flew back to have my hair cut (even if it was 6 months between visits). All these years later, she cuts my entire family’s hair (mother, sister, brother in-​law, children, etc.), and even though we all have very different personalities, she is able to accommodate each one of us. I get compliments with every cut, no matter the style. Kind, nurturing and creative, she is also a great person to be around — and she gives the BEST neck massages around! My whole family adores you, Elizabeth!

I’m in high school and my parents and I have gone to Carol for hair cuts for years. She always remembers what style I like with my hair and in the past years when I have gone to anyone else, the results do not compare to the quality I get when I see Carol. See ya Thursday Carol!

Had a girls weekend in Vegas with carol She is super fun. Carol has been doing my brazilian blowouts color etc for the last 6 months. She is very meticulous and I always get compliments. The brazillians have changed my life. They last forever and make sleek sexy hair possible. Thanks carol!

I have been a happy client of Carol’s for ten years and followed her over to Manu International from a previous salon. I am by nature unadventurous with my hairstyle but Carol encouraged me to try highlighting my hair and (after many months of declining) I tried it and was pleased with the results. She is good at remembering the exact colors I like so I have a consistent look. She gave me a free ‘touch-​up cut’ when after a few days/​washes a lock of hair did not fall properly. I receive compliments on my hair often. I also like the low-​key atmosphere of the salon. Parking is limited (four slots in the back lot and metered on the street) but better than usual for a small Santa Monica business. I live by LAX but feel Carol is worth the commute.

Carol Haas has done Brazilian Blowouts on me twice. The first lasted only two months. The second (I don’t know why I dared go again) lasted only one month. She did not use enough of the solution and did not do the final step: rinsing, blowing dry a second time, and then straightening again. I am very disappointed and could kick myself that I gave her another chance. Sorry Carol, but you gypped me and I wasted $ 120.

Kris is amazing. And, she’s a wiz with curly hair. The prices are fantastic. And, I love that you can just zip in and out very quickly without all the pomp & circumstance of some the fancier salons in town. The salon itself is a bit of a dump. So, if you can get past the aesthetics, and just focus on the quality cut, really, why go anywhere else?

Great salon! Friendly staff, parking in the back and most importantly my hair looks amazing! And they sell Moroccan Oil at a reasonable price!

This place is the best. I really couldn’t ask for anything more when getting my hair done. The staff is friendly, I’ve been going for over 8 years, so it’s like hangin with family.
Brenda, is my stylist, and she listens very carefully to my needs, and makes sure that I’m always 100% satisfied. Whether it’s a hair-​cut or highlights, Brenda is the best. I would and have always recommended my friends, who have also dedicated their hair styling needs to Manu Salon.
This salon always has goodies, coffee, tea, cookies, and more. All the magazines are update and current.
Last time I was there, the door was opened, and that cool Santa Monica breeze was blowing, & Brenda was massaging my scalp as she shampooed my hair, it was soooo relaxing. It’s very clean, and just being here makes me feel special, it’s not like the other salons where you have to wait half n hour before your acknowledged.
This is the place to go, it’s affordable, and customer satisfaction is their top priority.
