I give you 3 stars with a slight reservation. Loved the Mama Mia. But seriously guys, $ 3.50 — $ 5.50 for the tomato soup. Watched you pour The Campbell’s straight out of the can. For that price you should making your own.

Now I got a little country in me and I’ll tell yall what… this thing is a hit. If you want DELICIOUS, this trucks got it. If you wanna count calories, count them later. I ordered a jerk chicken wrap from the food truck next to Richeeze and wandered over to his while I waited on my wrap. I was greeted by Severn who knew the entire truck; from its history, to its food. I was so appreciative of his passion, I had to support it whatever he was selling. I got the mac-n-cheese grilled cheese with smoked applewood bacon togo since I already had the wrap coming from the other truck. Severn, who turns about to be the owner, promised me it would heat up deliciously at home. It absolutely did! Thanks so much Severn! I love your passion, energy, ambition, and commitment to the most awesome product you can possibly fathom. You’re the people I love to support eating at your trucks and telling other people how great my experience was. Thank you. Great luck to you! Keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll be back soon. God bless.

Unfortunately, it hurts me to give a negative review. But if you are like me, rarely eat at food trucks but looking for something different, delicious and naughty every once in a blue boon, this may not be your place. I ordered the Fried Mac and Cheese balls. I was so excited to bite into that creamy fried ball :) Unfortunately, they forgot my order, so after 15 minutes I asked them and they apologized that the order did not go through and said it would be out in 60 seconds. When they gave me the fried balls, they were completely cold inside(obviously needed to stay inside the fryer longer). Not sure what type of cheese they use but it tasted very similar to Velveeta cheese :(. Also, tomato soup is Campbells out of a can. Just an FYI if your paying $ 4 for soup you could probably get your own for 50 cents.

Based on my experience and also on the reviews written before me, it definitely appears this truck needs help in consistency and employee training. When they have what they offer(which on the day I ordered was the bacon/mac sandwich) and have friendly, helpful employees, they get great reviews. When they run out of food and have employees that don’t seem to communicate with each other or the public, they get bad reviews. On the day I ordered, their order taker out front was new to taking orders. Their credit card machine wasn’t working and he was having a bit or trouble entering orders into the tablet. He was nice enough to continue to announce to those waiting that the CC machine was down, it would be cash only. He also was friendly but was telling everyone he was new at this so that was interesting. I ordered the bacon/mac sandwich. I also checked in on Unilocal and had a 20% discount pop up. I showed it to the guy taking the orders and he didn’t know how to enter it into the tablet. Since my order was just over $ 11, I just asked him to take $ 2 off and he did. So, that problem was solved. It does take longer than expected to get food from them and when I saw the cardboard box that contained my lunch waiting for me, I was a bit disappointed. Seems like a small box for what would have be $ 11. However, grab a hold of the box and you can feel the weight of the sandwich. Open it up and you see a nice fresh bun with mac & cheese flowing out of the edges, filling the box. It was impressive looking. They recommended taking a spoon to scoop up all the extra. I wound up getting a knife and a fork and ate it that way(I was afraid to pick it up out of the box for fear my extra mac & cheese would wind up on the floor). It is a rich, heavy meal. If you are used to eating a light meal, you will feel weighed down if you finish this sandwich. The flavor was very, very good. It’s definitely something I would get again but I would hope to have someone to split it with. Not sure what a good side would be but something a bit lighter to cut the heaviness of this sandwich as part a the meal. I think what I’d recommend, if you are going to eat from the truck, is to talk with the person taking the order. See if he seems like he knows what he’s doing. If he does, ask if they have what you are looking to order. With an expectation to wait a few extra minutes for your order, get your order in(the bacon/mac is highly recommended) and go share your sandwich with someone who has a salad to share. Otherwise, if you finish the entire sandwich, like I did, expect to be a bit lethargic in the afternoon. But, in it just might be worth it to try this food. Enjoy!

The food tasted ok but it is way over priced. The was one guy working in truck that kept wiping the sweat off his head with his hand and not washing them afterwards. My wife, daughter and I all got sick that night after eating from this truck. DONOTEATFROMTHISPLACEUNLESSYOUWANTTOFEELSICKAFTERWARDS!

Let’s just say that I very rarely order from food trucks for a couple reasons: the food is usually overpriced, and the quality is just not there. Today, however, I was really craving some soup and this was the truck that was scheduled to come to the office. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup, mainly because it was so deliciously advertised on their menu. I waited ~10 minutes and when I received the soup and sandwich, both were not hot… not even warm. just lukewarm. The cheese on the sandwich was not even melted all the way. I had to pop the soup in the kitchen microwave for a bit before digging in. The soup was wayyyy too sweet and the grilled cheese was good, just not melted enough. I paid $ 11 and some change and was not satisfied.

This food truck is horrible. terrible service. The cashier dude was rude and gave attitude. The bacon and cheese sandwich was super burnt, greasy, and salty. Yuck. I came here for delicious food, instead I got attitude, bad service, and high blood pressure.

I was at a relay for life event with my friend and her mother at bouquet canyon park around 10:45AM and saw that they had food trucks available for the event. At first I was excited because I’ve always had a good experience with food truck food. However I’m sorry to say that this time I did not have a good experience. What was upsetting to me is that I had to come to this truck twice trying to get their lobster mac or their bacon mac. The first time I was standing in line my friends mother overheard that they ran out of mac. So we decided that we can always come back at a later time and hopefully they’ll have the mac ready by then. Then we come back later around 2:30PM deciding that we wanted to try the lobster mac only to find that they ran out of it again. So we ordered the bacon grilled cheese and the moment we ordered and paid for the food we just found out that they had mac ready. Sounds like something unlucky from a TV show but I wasn’t happy with the attitude the front guy with the iPad was handling the customers. When we confronted him about the mac he seemed like he didn’t care which he probably doesn’t. I was tempted to cancel my order and just get a refund because I just felt maybe the workers were having an off day or they were just unprepared, I don’t know. I’m not sure if I’m willing to give these guys another try but in the end the food didn’t taste very good with the service my friend and I received.

Came upon this food truck at the Relay for Life event in SCV. I know, the irony. They should have a salad and fruit/veggie smoothie truck instead! Anywho, twice I came to get food here. First time was at around 11, and after waiting about 15 minutes, was told they don’t have the mac & cheese ready for their sandwiches. Ok… there was no sign stating that. So we left disappointed. Strike 1. Second time around, we were obviously desperate for those lobster Mac and bacon Mac sandwiches. So came back at 2, waited 30 mins to find again, disappointing news. They«ran» out of mac. Strike 2! Yet, I still paid $ 20-something for 2 bacon cheese sammies. The best part was, right after I ordered, the owner comes by to whisper something to the kid, and allows the customers after me to order bacon MAC sammies. So messed up! That kid who was taking our order was annoying. Instead of explaining why or giving a real sorry, he remained apathetic/indifferent! And that’s Strike 3. Waited another 30 mins to get my order, and it’s not even what I wanted! Tasted average. The cheeses were also burnt!(Or maybe this is the strike 3 lol) I didn’t give tip because I was utterly appalled at everything. It’s expensive, and I had to wait long in the cold for such subpar sammies. I’ve had my share of delish and really good food trucks(ie Kogi, Grilled Cheese Truck, Coolhaus, Nom Nom truck, Lobsta). Save your money on the original Grilled Cheese Truck. They’re simply good, fast and service is pleasant.

This truck gets a 5 star review off the bat just for the amazing customer service! Food was off the charts but what really set these guys apart from the other grilled cheese guys is the attention to detail and customer service. My wife and I ordered the Lobster Mac and the Bacon Mac and were far from disappointed. The lobster Mac was served up fresh off the grill on delicious sourdough bread. The Lobster, truffle oil, Mac n Cheese and sourdough came together to create a decadent but not overpowering taste. The Bacon Mac came served on a fresh, home made sweet roll that provides such a perfect contrast to the rich Bacon Mac N Cheese. While both of the sandwhiches are amazing in their own way, I personally enjoyed the incredible flavor explosion of the Bacon Mac, whereas my wife preferrs the more decadent and more refined taste of the Lobster Mac. While I only wrote about these two sandwiches this time, I will definitely be returning to try their other sandwiches and will update my review with each new adventure.

Amazing! The gentleman in the front(who is Unilocal famous to me) was so friendly, but not overly so. I ordered the Mama-Mia and traditional seasoned fries. While waiting for my order a sweet old man walked by and asked for a water cup. The owner smiled and said they didn’t have any, but offered him to have a seat on the bench they provided and gave him a water bottle on the house. I was so moved by the gesture, I told my co-workers that if I liked the food I would totally write a review. And here I am! The food was outstanding! The Mama-Mia had a perfectly crisp and nutty parmesan crust completely surrounding the sourdough. The chicken was perfectly tender and seasoned, the marinara wasn’t a hot mess, and the cheese was plentiful and super, super, SUPER gooey like it should be! Fries were also deliciously crisp and made to order. Overall fabulous experience that I happily recommend! :)

Where do I begin!!! I’m such a fat kid at heart and I love when I can find food that brings that out! Service: Gentleman in the video(part owner) is super friendly and welcoming. Explained all the melts and made them that much more mouth watering! Melts: Picked up the Bacon Mac. Bacon taste just as great as it smells when you’re in line. Bun was soft and warm, Hawaiian bun. My girlfriend ordered the YOLO, I was jelly! Nice thick BLY style sandwich. Thick slice of ham, thick turkey, bacon, tomato was juicy and fresh, and cheese perfectly melted. If this melt catches your attention, get it!!! Since this truck brought the inner fat boy out, also order the cheese fries. Eat those first, fries got a bit soft and melted cheese fries quickly. Peppers and cheese flavors mixed well, but at a must eat before your melt I believe. Keep it up guys, love your food!!!

Today I purchased the lobster mac sandwich with cheese fries and I am regretting it now sitting at home. Just waisted 22.89 for junk. No lobster at all in the sandwhich and the fries were made in old stale oil. If you make the effort to cook late hours, make the effort to provide quality food for the prices on your menu. Not sure if it’s for funny points but as a roach coach owner, or any business owner, you should have the dignity to not have to rate your own food or at least don’t make it so obvious by your profile pic and the business pics. The faux hawk gives it away. I could type up a longer review but nature is calling.

I think this truck isn’t too bad. Granted it could be a LOT better. Decided to play it safe and just get the classic grilled cheese with tomato soup. The grilled cheese was pretty good, I liked the combination of cheese and how melty it is. However I wish they used sourdough instead of just white bread because it kept falling apart in my hands and was hard to hold and eat. The tomato soup was good too, although I do wish it was tomato basil. Overall, this place is fine, however a lot of my friends thought that it was too heavy and felt sick after.

The website said the truck would be there at 11am but didn’t show up until much later and was not ready until noon… We tried a few different things and they were fun. The lobster mac n cheese sandwich was pretty good. The Mama Mia was like a chicken parm sandwich… The nuggets were not great… Heavy and not very flavorful. It was fun though!

So, I had them at the Big Bite Bacon Fest last summer(a while ago I know, but I am new to Unilocal sorry)! The bacon mac & chesse sandwich was so good! I still dream about it! I seriously can’t wait to eat it again. Stone(the owner) was so awesome telling us about how the bread was hand made in a bakery and going into detail on how amazing his food was. Thanks!

Our office complex gets different food trucks every day. Although I’m used to most of them running a little expensive this one takes the cake. I was hesitant to order but was assured the price was as it was due to high quality ingredients. My other options within walking distance were subway and McDonald’s so I have it a go and ordered the California club. Don’t get me wrong, the sandwich was good. But was it $ 12.45 good? Not really. Especially when you JUST get the sandwich for that price.

I’ve only eaten here once, but it was a great overall experience. Everyone was very friendly, they brought my food to me quickly(I was hanging out at Monkish brewery and unable to take my beer outside) and the price was reasonable. But I can sum up my experience in just a couple key sentences: the jalapeño popper grilled cheese was screaming my name and really hit the spot(the tomato soup was really good too), and while eating in a crowd I accidentally dropped about a quarter of my sandwich right onto the floor. So I picked it up and finished it. Totally worth it.

The customer service drew me to this place. My husband and I were standing by the truck looking at their menu pictures, and an employee(according to Unilocal he was the owner) greeted us. He proceeded to recommend the Bacon Mac&Cheese Sandwich, which was delicious AND a great portion. After we finished our meal, he went back up to us and asked how everything was. I noticed that he was asking that to other people too. Even though it was a food truck, it kind of had a better vibe. However, the one thing I disliked was the price of $ 10.50 for the burger(no side). If it had a price point of maybe $ 8.50-$ 9.50, I think it would have potential to bring in a larger crowd. Despite the price and whatever negative reviews this place has, my specific Bacon Mac&Cheese Burger was delicious.

Got the Grilled Lobster Mac N Cheese. REALLYGOOD! Next time I come across this food truck, I plan on also getting the grilled cheese with mushrooms(called Alan’s???) GRILLEDLOBSTERMAC N CHEESE Pros The grilled toast was sooo buttery.(I love butter) And adding the perfectly cooked Mac N Cheese makes it amazinggg! I was definitely craving Mac N Cheese when I ordered this, but after eating it I CANNOT stop thinking about it. In fact, my craving for Mac N Cheese has increased. I need to taste this grilled Mac N Cheese again… Cons Not enough lobster to satisfy my lobster craving and it was a bit pricey so next time I’m just going to get the plain Grilled Mac n Cheese. SERVICE Top notch. The guy(owner?) taking our orders was the friendliest out of all the food trucks I’ve ever eaten at. So friendly and always smiling! WAIT No line. Said it would take 5 – 6 mins for our Grilled Lobster Mac N Cheese, and it really did take around 5 mins. OVERALL I’ll be back…(thumbs up like aahhhhhnolddd)

I was working the Strut your Mutt fundraiser at exposition park and saw their truck. I ordered the fried mac balls and regular fries. Both were very tasteless and bland to me. I was let down. I was hoping it would wow me, but it did not. Not much flavor on either of the two. Definitely will not be ordering again. Btw, I ordered a side dish, the sandwiches were a bit on the steep side.

I just had the most awful salad of my life. Granted their specialty isn’t salads, if you can’t make it, don’t put it on the menu. Started out poorly when they didn’t have chicken, so i subbed for mushrooms. Thank god, as they were pretty much the only edible thing in there. They forgot the cheese, which I had to run back down to get. By the time I was up at my office, I didn’t have time left to go back once I saw the salad. Most of the tomatoes were BAD, black in parts and wrinkled. Half the greens were yellow, wilted, or had black spots. The thing was just inedible and I had to throw away over half of an overpriced salad. Horrible experience, would not go back. Avoid their salads if you do choose to go and double check your food before you leave! I saw multiple people come back while I was in line because their orders were wrong. Should have been a red flag. I wish I could give less than one star. I rarely review on Unilocal unless the place makes a VERY strong impression(in this case, bad). I am absolutely baffled by the 5 star reviews.

Had lunch here, the prices are kinda steep. A plain grilled cheese is $ 5 and a caprese is $ 8…very underwhelming. The sweet potato fries tasted like old frying oil. And they try to be cute with their names for things *eyeroll* The girl taking my order thought soy sauce and balsamic were the same thing. If you’re trying to compete with The Grilled Cheese Truck, do better next time. Or at least bring down the prices.

I have a love/hate relationship with food trucks. Most times I do enjoy them because I’m all about portable food and I love trying new things. We saw Richeeze at an outdoor movie event in LA and my boyfriend was really craving some mac and cheese(he always is) so we decided to give it a try. Funny thing is, I went to get food at another food truck and my line was actually longer than his by a lot but I still got my food WAY earlier than he did. I mean what’s going on here? Why did it take over 30 minutes to get a single order of mac and cheese? It was especially annoying because people who had ordered after us were getting their orders before us. We ordered their classic Mac and Cheeze(baked mac and cheese with three different types of cheese) because we wanted to taste it without all the trimmings such as bacon. Honestly, I think we would have liked it a bit more had it not taken such a long time. In addition, and I rarely say this but it was just too much cheese. Their ratio was off and I would rather have more macaroni than too much cheese. However, the flavors were good and we did like it. However, given the number of food trucks in the Los Angeles area, I’m not sure that we would ever try Richeeze again since it was a little on the pricier side. 3⁄5

I stumbled upon the Richeeze food truck at the 1st Thursday event held every month in San Pedro. We arrived late in the evening because we went out to dinner elsewhere, but we were looking for a late night treat. Lucky for us, this truck was still open and serving customers. We walked up and noticed our favorite word splattered against the side of the truck: CHEESE!!! Before we could even get up to the truck, Severin, the owner immediately greeted us, asked how our night was and introduced his truck to us. He was SUPER friendly and engaged us in regular, everyday conversation. We immediately ordered the Bacon Mac, which comes on a sweet grilled Hawaiian bun with«Richeeze» mac and cheese and applewood bacon. I have to say that we were surprised when we got it. We didn’t take our time to read the menu, so we weren’t expecting mac and cheese on our sandwich. We were so full from dinner, but the sandwich was really good! Initially, we just ate the inside mixture(not the bread), but the insides were so good that we put it back together and took a bite. The bread was FANTASTIC! Severin told us that everything on his menu is locally sourced. It all tasted fresh and not out of the box. Anything with cheese makes me weak in the knees! I definitely want to try more options on the menu, like the Classic Grilled Cheese! Can’t go wrong there! Of course, I’d want to add bacon to it. They also have Grilled Cheese Roll-ups that you can dip in tomato soup! SINFUL! More options: The Bacon Maestro, which comes on a sweet Hawaiian bun, as well, but has crispy bacon and provolone cheese! STOPIT! The Cali Club, which comes on whole wheat along with provolone, sliced turkey breast, bacon, and avocado aioli! SHUTUP! There’s even vegetarian options available! Ally’s Special, which comes on sourdough bread with marinated portobello mushrooms, fried mozzarella cheese and a pesto sauce or even the Jalapeño Popper Melt, which comes on grilled sourdough with stuffed jalapeños, jack cheese, tomatoes and grilled onions! BOMB! There are even salads and plenty of sides to choose from, like mac and cheese nuggets and sweet potato fries to «Richeeze» fries complete with grilled onions, jalapeño rounds, and chipotle sauce! JESUS! No one was rude, in fact the service was PHENOMENAL! My phone ended up dying and Severin handed me his phone to take all the pictures I needed! Who does that!!! I told him that I am a Unilocaler and needed to post my pics and he even offered to make us a second sandwich free of charge, just so I could try more on the menu! Again, who does that?! We thanked him profusely for the offer, but stuck with our one sandwich that we ordered. I felt bad not paying for it. We WILLDEFINITELY be back! THANKYOU, Severin for bomb food and service!

I stopped by this food truck when it was parked on the corner of Palms and Sepulveda. I only wanted a dessert. The have one item which is fine if was served properly and was fresh. It is a chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick. The problem is there refrigerator was not cold and the cheesecake did not taste fresh. Bottom line I will pass on the dessert in the future.

Food is entirely forgettable. The bread in the bacon mac n’ cheese is a bit too soft and cottony for that kind of sandwich, the mac and cheese, while pretty decent, wasn’t enough to justify the price or the entirely average size of the sandwich. Even the bacon, which was good, couldn’t save it, not for the price. As a new truck they seem to be off to a rough start. They seem to be shorthanded more often than not, which adversely affects customers(lots of complaints about long waits for sandwiches), and c’mon, you don’t have enough change and small bills? Not good… they showed up to the Monday night spot on Sepulveda and Palms with two of their brethen(both of whom are established, professional trucks) and the service/experience was night and day for the new guys. I’m willing to give them a bit of a pass for being so new, but if this continues no one’s going to be happy…
