Pro — Good restaurant quality food with fast food feel. Con — I see one review saying they went though remodeling recently and now it’s plain looking. Not sure why they did that. In fact, it didn’t look like it was remodeled. Probably they have to re-do it again. Overall — I found it weird that a fast food place with drive thru sell alcohol. That caught my interest so I have to check out this place. I got Nogales turkey burger with zucchini fries and potatoes salad. It’s very good. I feel like I’m in a restaurant than a fast food place. I’m not sure why there are a few negative reviews. I see nothing negative about this place. The reason for 4 stars is it’s not fast food prices. It’s restaurant prices. I recommend going there and give them a try! :)

This place has lost all it’s character. Everything, except the jukebox, has been stripped from it’s home feeling and all of its authenticity. All the city relics on the walls have been stripped away and painted with bland red white and blue walls. The great selection of beers is gone. All of the checker tables that were there where we would bring our own set is gone. This place used to be a restaurant that pushed the bounds of what a hamburger was. It was the hidden jewel of SR. It was a must eat for visiting family. Every week there was something new. I was a loyal customer for 4 years. Now what do we have? A place that has absolutely zero character and serves practically only fried foods, primarily fried chicken and Budweiser. This place now sucks. They have gotten all of our orders wrong every time since the menu changed. I am sad to say that Brody’s has lost 3 loyal customers today due to the intense sucking that this place now radiates and has lost the future business from my recommendations. Brody’s is gone people. It’s now Broaster’s. Want good burgers in SR? Too bad. They’re all gone. Go if you only care about fried chicken.

Brody’s Burgers and Brews has had major changes recently! The bikes are gone. Now the dining area is more spacious. Last week, I had a hamburger because that’s what I craved. It was good — and gone were the many different kinds of burgers — just about 3 different types remain. I had the cheese burger and enjoyed it very much. It lacked the«charbroiler kiss» that I like to taste when I eat a burger; but it was good. I was surprised to see that they are serving fried chicken! What? Aren’t there enough fried chicken places? But wait! This chicken is cooked with a new process. They marinate it and then fry it using some«new» technique. Sofie and I ordered an 8 piece serving: 2 legs, 2 wings, 2 thighs and 2 breasts. It was very tasty! Even the breast was juicy and delicious. I expected that I may not feel so well later because I ate most all of the chicken myself; but I felt great! Whenever I think about that chicken(as I do now), my stomach wants me to take it back for another 8 piece serving. We had some sides. I had the potato salad with my burger earlier in the week and it was delicious. Yesterday, it was«all gone». «We will make some more tomorrow.», said the server. That was good to hear! They make it themselves. Sofie and I had zucchini sticks and coleslaw with our chicken. The zucchini sticks were deep fried in a herb batter. Cooked nicely and very tasty. The coleslaw was good also. Fresh and crisp and good flavor. The beer on tap has been upgraded also. You may still buy a $ 2 pint as before, but it will be Budwiser. I went with the St. Florian IP which was very helpful in washing down all that fried chicken. Sadly, the beer is no longer served out of quart mason jars. How am I able to go there and say, «Nice. Just like home!»? Sofie and I enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning for more chicken — but honestly, the 8 pieces is way too much for us. Brody’s: good food, good value and a comfortable place to enjoy that food.

Not a bad place but I will need to try it again. Had my friend order mine while I was on my way for lunch. Burger was a little over cooked but also could have been not eating it fresh. They sell beer, plus 1 star lol. The breaded zucchini sticks are amazing! I will try again but wasn’t wow’ed but wasn’t disappointed.

Went there with my family yesterday afternoon and dropped 50+ for 4 burgers. I was disappointed to the fact that they don’t cook to order, I like med rare beef and they said med-well. I ordered the Boulder that was«beer steamed» so I figured it would be somewhat juicy and at least some pink, I was let down again to the very dry and very well done puck. I won’t be going back

On a rating scale, where a McDonalds cheeseburger is a 1 and the sirloin burger at Stark’s steakhouse is a 10, Brody’s scores just a 5. I used a Groupon to buy a Boulder burger, a way overpriced($ 13.75!) vege-burger and 2 beers on tap. Got sides of onion rings, sweet potato fries and paid $ 1.30 extra for a tiny Cole slaw. The steamed beef patty Boulder burger was just about flavorless. Only flavor was the bun, tomato, lettuce and condiments. Meat mouth feel was a weird wet chewiness. Vege-burger flavor clearly revealed it’s potato base. Flavor was more pronounced than the beef burger. But $ 13.75 for this sandwich is ludicrous. The Amy’s drive thru double patty Vege-burger is twice as tasty for 60% less money. Fried onion rings and sweet potato fries here are way overcooked and slightly oily. But I did appreciate that they were not over salted. The $ 3 microbrew on tap beers were the best bargain and tastiest part of this meal. Granted the food here is much better than Five Guys, Jack in dat Box, or the other mass market crap burger chains. But still for just $ 2 more the fabulous burger at Stark’s can be enjoyed in a much more romantic and cleaner dining room. Brody’s is a never return for me.

I have mixed feelings about Brody’s. After buying the Groupon and reviewing their menu prior to our visit, I had high hopes and visions of an amazing burger that is normally priced $ 11.00 to $ 14.00. On the plus side they offer all Grass Fed Beef for their meat burgers, handmade in house veggie burgers, and an assortment of turkey, chicken and even a salmon burger. Then they offer a nice selection of locally crafted beers at a very reasonable price. To me the inside of the«restaurant» seems a bit tired. The front doors were smudged and dirty when we walked in. Could have been that it had been raining non stop for about 3 days! The bicycle décor is confusing to me as well. My veggie burger came on a wheat bun that seemed like it should have been eaten about 2 days before — it was dry and stale. The veggie burger itself was OK, but without adding some sort of sauce was kind of tasteless. The onion rings and sweet potato fries — eh, I have had much better. Hubby’s beef burger was very thin and looked overcooked to me. I tasted it and it also didn’t have much flavor at all. So that means to me that all their burgers are not seasoned much at all prior to cooking. So all in all, for $ 13.95 for a veggie burger — I will pass. I will stick with Amy’s Double Veggie burger for about $ 7.00 and it is awesome and flavorful. I would go back for the $ 2.00 pints of craft beer, but that’s about it for me.

They have the best burgers in town. Grass fed. Cooked to your specification. Daily specials. Great Customer Service. My phone in order was lost the other day. So when I pulled in to the drive through, my order was not ready. I was given a complimentary drink while I waited. After 15 minutes my order was ready and that too was FREE! They really know how to keep and feed happy customers,

Like many others, I discovered this place via Groupon. My two friends and I decided to buy the deal of $ 38 for 4 burgers/sides/drinks. The Groupon only covers fountain drinks and beer on tap, so I didn’t get any drinks… but one friend decided to go all out and get 4 beers for herself(our other friend can’t drink alochol). I got some juice and our other friend got a root beer, and those were NOT covered by Groupon. The Groupon doesn’t cover all sides either, so make sure to ask the cashier to clarify what is covered by Groupon. We came to this place after hiking for two hours, so we were definitely hungry, and we met up with another friend. Yes, we ordered 4 burgers, which resulted in one friend and I splitting a burger. The burgers themselves had decent flavor, but it doesn’t compel me to come back. The fries were crunchy and just salty enough. This place doesn’t quite have a «sit-down» restaurant feel… the paint job is totally not clean and it’s in a slightly shady area. I most likely won’t come back… I’d rather spend my monies at a burger place that asks me how I like the patty cooked(cause let’s face it, our burgers were like way well-done).

Used to be great. Prices are stupid high now. Oh well, there are better spots near bye. Side note don’t hire rude stoned children to ring up customers. Won’t be back. Try giant burger on Piner. Great food(which Brody’s used to be) great value,(like Brody’s used to be). Sad, I have been a regular since Brody’s opened.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Very simple, but the flavor was off the charts. I found the zucchini to be well seasoned, maybe too seasoned and very soft. That’s expected with frozen though. The tater tots were pretty good, though let’s face it, tots are a lot like pizza. While the prices are higher,($? Really Unilocal?) they are worth it. The burger was filling and so were the tots. What clinched the 5th star? That would be the fountain. The Brody’s Root Beer is amazing! Sweet Gerkin! They also have RC instead of Coke(my preference) though I stuck with the root beer only.

Why won’t they cook my burger medium rare? I don’t like it well done but that’s the way it comes, every time, even though I order it medium rare. Try the stuft spuds. They are jalapeño and cheese stuffed tater tots.

Pretty pleased I got the Nogales burger and my boyfriend got the San Francisco burger. Mine was great my boyfriend thought the San Francisco burger was kind of plain and wishes he had gotten some add ons on it. I also had the house salad as a side it was a decent size and the ingredients were fresh. I would definitely come back.

Love pretty much everything about this place. Great burger selections, gluten free buns, sweet potato fries. The only thing I would change is that the burgers are little too well done for my liking. Pretty nice they have a drive thru window!

I ate here with a co-worker after dropping a truck off at Line-X of Santa Rosa. We both ordered the burgers which were cooked fresh upon ordering. The burger and fries were good, kind of hard to mess up a burger… lol The price was right and it was not a bid conglomerate chain sucking me dry… we definitely will return when in the area again… plus they had RC Cola… WOW memories!

Locally owned burger joint with a good variety. Who else serves turkey, chicken or bison? It’s not really fast food, each meal isn’t started until the order comes in. But you order at the counter and pick up the order when your number is called. The wait was less than 10 minutes. There are several different topping choices as well as meat choices. I even saw four different buns. And five choices for sides. My M & M burger with Swiss, mushrooms and grilled onions was ok, not really a wow burger for me for $ 12 and it was a little dry. The hubby tried the Lava Love and he said it was just on also, a little messy from the sauce on it. Probably not a return spot for us with so many other options to try in that area.

There are many things I can tolerate in life. I can tolerate wayyy overpriced deliciousy grass-fed burgers.(Really $ 10.25 for a Midwest burger that doesn’t come with fries?) I can tolerate very watery sketchy-looking ranch that comes out of a dispenser machine. I can tolerate friendly & excellent customer service at the counter(very nice ladies working out front) But what can’t I endure? Looking at all these reviews, and seeing the owner bash on the people who wrote negative reviews, as well as throwing his employees under the bus for incidents just makes me sick to my stomach. I refer to review on 3÷31÷12 Brody B replies … You’re full of crap. You order the most expensive items on the menu, are probably drunk or on drugs and then complain on Unilocal about my staff… or 10÷16÷11 …You were never in Brody’s. My restaurant is very clean. But, I will say this… I am so glad that Unilocal has created this forum for you to tell lies. Or maybe you are a Joker. Just having some fun Why don’t you come in and tell me to my face what are you are talking about… or 4÷22÷12 Vanessa isn’t supposed be at the register. She really is a very nice young woman but she just doesnt have the personality to be at our front counter(Really, why would you even tell the whole world that she doesn’t have a personality to work out front? There is absolutely no need to bring your employees into your reviews, right or wrong. Keep your employee issues in-house!) So Brody(or whatever your name is), Unilocal is not out to get you. There is no conspiracy of people making accounts to make false reviews. Just take the negative reviews and think of ways to better the experience at your restaurant instead of yelling at people over the internet. Unless your personality takes a 180 degree turn, my friend and I won’t set foot in here ever again. PS: for you Unilocalers who have endured my long review garlic fries are a + burgers are a +, even though it’s overpriced chocolate milk shakes are a ++ employees are a +

All types of sauces to go on your burger or fries, from siricha and wasabi horseradish to sweet and spicy mustard – and everything in between. Special burger every week comes with fries and a drink(including beer-which they have many though I love their ipa on tap). Grace is our favorite server. She is always happy and helpful. Wonderful and creative burgers of the week and they include fries a a beer. This week’s burger is a triple b– beef, BBQ sauce, baked beans plus cheddar cheese and ruffles BBQ chips– genius! Love love love the burgers and the weekly burger!(as of late July 2014, they took off the beer on the daily special AND they raised the prices for the beers too. I’d be ok with the prices going up, businesses have to survive but they should leave the draft beer on the weekly special, IMO.)
