Came for early morning breakfast. Ordered BLT w/fries… My meal cake with almost a half head of lettuce 3 scrawny over cooked bacon slices. No fries… there on the way. Sandwich almost gone then comes some soft barely warm fries… Their limp as you pick them up.

Seriously hit or miss at this location. The food is usually decent. The portions are a bit small, but, usually prepared good. The place where this restaurant has continuously failed is the service. I have had waitresses argue with me, and others completely ignore me. Sometimes acting put out to serve me(maybe a guy by himself generally doesn’t tip well?) What prompted me to write this is; My meal this evening was the grilled salmon. It was pretty good, a little cold by the time it got to my table, however what really grinds my gears is that I finished my drink about 2 minutes into my meal, and waited 15 minutes to have someone ask me if I needed a refill. Don’t expect attentiveness. I used to come here because it was rather inexpensive and close to where I live. They have recently increased their prices. I don’t think I will be patronizing Carrows too often anymore.

Basic fare, but was especially impressed by the excellent service. Friendly and cheerful waitstaff — very refreshing!

Great prices, excellent food and service, especially when Opal is serving you. Tip her well — she was badly affected by the Valley Fire, but you would never know it with that big smile on her face: o)

Food was OK but the women’s bathroom was filthy. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a week. If I’d gone to the bathroom first would not have eaten there.

We hadn’t been to a Carrow’s in years but needed a post marathon meal to refuel. The California Benedict and Prime Rib Chorizo omelet hit the spot. Most surprising was the very friendly and enthusiastic service we received. Nikki was our server and had the best attitude with all of the guests. Great meal and great service. We will be back.

Worst food ever. Had burger, bbq ribs and bbq chicken all tasted like cardboard. Poorly cooked and poorly presented. Only saving grace was the servers were polite and cheerful. Not recommend by me. Stay away don’t waste your money

This is the second time I have visited this restaurant with a Gift Certificate. I am sorry to say that both times my experience was not the greatest. The first time they did not have any of the wine I asked for and no dessert as requested. The most recent visit was disappointing again. The salad was fresh and the garlic bread was good… but the prime rib was anything but«prime». Grisly, thin and devoid of taste … it was definitely not up to par. Originally I asked for another entrée but was told that«we are out of that». The gift certificate was for $ 40 and the bill came to just over $ 40. It was not worth it. I will not be going back to Carrows.

Service was poor outside of Opal. Food was reminiscent of my time in the Army. Eggs undercooked, pancakes were like shoe insoles. Coffee was bitter. Overall, very underwhelming.

I like this place — maybe should give them 4 stars. I’m reviewing them as a Carrow’s, not comparing them to Willi’s Wine Bar or any other amazing eatery. It’s a Diner. This place has a diverse menu, calories listed, and a good wait staff. I come in here every few months and run a HOA meeting here or bring all the ladies from the Aqua Aerobics class in for a luncheon. They have a young man or woman that waits on us, doesn’t get impatient, deals with all of our special orders, and AND gives us separate checks and runs them quickly and efficiently. That’s like a miracle for 25 people mostly over the age of 70! Sure someone might be missing a lemon in their iced tea — but that’s not too bad. I like the food — actually had a piece of Salmon for dinner and it was surprisingly not cooked to death and tasty.

Good down home food! Love their shrimp, baked potato & garlic bread — yummmm! Their prime rib is so tender. Ask for Jessica, she’s a great waitress.

24 minutes to get service when there was hardly anyone else in there. Ridiculous. The only reason I didn’t leave is because I wanted to time how long it took the server to get to me.

They were out of several items on the menu and unfortunately my plan B option was God awful. «Prime rib chorizo omelette». Please don’t order that.

I realize that it has been awhile since I last went. Tried it again and had a good time. Got in quick and our server was really nice. It was very busy and they were still attentive. The old menu is back and very affordable. The prime rib is great as are the salads.(i love a fresh salad). All in all I will return as I love the affordable food and location.

My first trip to a Carrows in Reno gave me a mediocre impression of their food, but this one out here in Santa Rosa is better. The avocado/bacon/jack/pico omelete was really good, their hash browns and pancakes are decent too. Pricing is normal diner prices even though it’s generally kind of an expensive area for food(though this little pocket near Cleveland and Industrial /Piner for some reason seems to have lower pricing than everywhere else in town). The«Power Breakfast» with fresh fruit o’ the season is 5 bucks Su-Th and 6 bucks Fri-Sat from like 5 or 6 to 11 am. I think the Mile High Pancake Stack was only 5 or 6 bucks too. Every other entrée is around 8 bucks and I don’t think anything but prime rib goes higher than 10. Also one of Santa Rosa’s very few 24⁄7 restaurant options. It’s basically either this, one of the two Denny’s, Jack In The Box, the Jelly Donut or 7 – 11’s unwanted taquitos of the day. As far as wee hour food quality I feel like this is far and away the best option.

Love the fact that their open 24 hours it is a very rare unique style menu steak to seafood. We went here last night their service was awesome our waitress was very sweet however when I ordered my broccoli soup they were out of cornbread and sent crackers Instead, I ordered Swiss cheese and the cook forgot to add it to my burger I was refunded 76 cents which she was kind enough to check in with us. I would go here again for late hours

There is not much of a 24⁄7 diner selection present in Santa Rosa. But when I do go for food after a late night of debauchery, Carrow’s is my GO-TO restaurant. I been going here for almost 20 years and Carrow’s still hasn’t lost its charm. I been here through their 14.99 prime rib specials, numerous breakfast pyramid combos, and now their current Mile High Pancake Breakfast deal. The food is great here; the service is awesome here; Go Carrows!

Been here a couple times with my kids. Food is Ok, the kids like the Prime Rib special but overall the quality is about what you would expect. The service however… slow slow slow. took forever to get the waiter over, food took a long time to come out, it’s not like the place was busy on a Monday night. I don’t remember it being like this many years ago, I wonder what happened. People working there just seem indefferent I don’t know if I will be going back, the food quality isn’t good enough to offset the poor service
