Sandra is the best masseuse ever! Deep Tissue and Reflexology! Every service you get includes a sauna and or the pool. Pretty cool.

I hesitantly picked this hair salon because my usual place was booked for the day. I’m pretty particular about how my hair gets cut, so I was pleasantly surprised and relieved(!) that I got exactly what I asked for! Rose was amazing, professional, clearly highly skilled, and really listened to what I wanted. I went in with a botched haircut and she cleaned it up perfectly. She even knew to thin out my hair since I have thick hair, without me having to tell her. I think I just found my local go-to hair salon!

I would agree with a lot that Louisa noted. First, you lose a lot of ambiance walking thru a busy cramped hair salon to get to the massage area. You are given a locker and robe but to get to the pool or jacuzzi you have to go thru the salon again and take a pretty long walk in a robe to the pool area. We had a couple’s massage that we booked several weeks in advance. I asked for a guy for my massage and Jeff asked for a female masseuse. When we arrived, we were assigned two women. After the massage and comparing notes, we both said the massage was not that great and pretty blah. Over the phone, the massage was quoted at $ 110 per person, and the email confirmation didn’t note the price. When we went to pay we were up charged $ 30 for the couples room which was a surprise to us. We asked for the manager but were told she would not be back until Monday and we would have to pay and address the concern later. Given that Sonoma area has a ton of spas, I felt like this was not worth the value. This was not really a spa setting and going back to the reviews, the good reviews are mainly for the hair salon. We stayed at this Hyatt because it was noted as a hotel and spa, but on our next visit I would much prefer to go back to the Spa at the Renaissance. Not a big price difference but a true spa experience.

Sadly, I was disappointed with my massage experience at Le Carre’. During my massage, I asked the masseuse three times if she could use some pressure but I think she was too tired from the previous massages before me to care. It was like a gentle rubbing for 80 minutes. And with COLD oil. Brrr! My friend who also had her massage a the same time said her girl was strong and knew all about these great pressure points, etc. I guess it’s a crap shoot on who you get. Minus a star for when you enter the«spa». You actually walk right into a hair salon full of dryers and dyes. Some luxury was certainly lost there. Minus something for the mold growing on the lid of the water pitcher in the treatment waiting area. I will post a pic if I can figure out how. I don’t get to go on these little trips away from home very often so it’s a shame to have spent the time and money on this experience. Such a bummer.

I hate to leave a not so positive review, as Charles is a sweetheart, but his prices are way, way too high for what you get. He’s charging San Francisco prices in Santa Rosa for really nothing overly special. Over $ 100 for just a haircut is unreasonable, especially when it wasn’t that great. My color was over processed on my bangs, to the point that the ends are cinged. I had dark auburn hair going in and said I wanted to go at light as possible… understanding I wouldn’t be blonde on the first trip so no reason to strip the hair that much. The cut was ok, nothing different than other stylists have done but I do have a problem with the stylist not asking about my hair before cutting. He thinned out my bangs without asking me, and while I understand why he would want to do that, had he told me what he was doing I would have been able to tell him that doesn’t work with my hair… it makes my bangs curl in funny directions. :(He was also 15 minutes late for my appointment, which is a pet peeve of mine in general.

I’ve been going to Maria for years for cut and color, and no one does a better job than Maria. Her haircuts are amazing! The salon is beautiful and you feel pampered while you’re there. The service is top notch and courteous. If you want the best cut and color you’ve ever had and will ever get, go to Maria!

Extremely, EXTREMELY overpriced. Charge a ridiculous amount per person for a couples massage and we were not treated as if we spent almost $ 500.00. There was a special promotion to go along with getting a couples massage that was never offered to us and when we saw the sign and asked about it we were told it was too late. Super tacky. I have spent less money at nicer places where I was treated like royalty… that was not the case here. The massages was good but nowhere near worth it. We will never go back again.

I agree with Sarah K.- Le Carre is the hidden jewel of Santa Rosa! I have had several mediocre hair salon experiences in this town and was delighted with the expertise and service I enjoyed at Le Carre. Charming Charles created a pretty, sophisticated yet carefree style for me and his assistant, Jose was skilled, attentive and gracious. It is worth paying a bit more for this quality!

I’m not surprised to see that Unilocal’s overall rating is 5 stars. The people at this salon are wonderful. I got my first cut by Charles, the owner, who’s background spans the globe and is quite impressive. How did we get so lucky in Sonoma County? His assistant, Jose, and manicurist, Christina, are also awesome. I asked Charles to create something fun and loved what I walked out with… a great cut. He nailed it! Don’t let the location of this salon fool you(within the Hyatt Vineyard Creek). Le Carre is the hidden jewel of Santa Rosa!

Two of my girlfriends and I all has massages at Le Carre and all three of us were amazed! Randall did my massage and it was by far the best I’ve had in years, including massages I’ve had at other upscale spas. Everyone on the staff was helpful and friendly, and they let us hang out in our robes in the seating area and chat, even though they were closing down. The robes were comfy, the tables in the rooms were heated, and there was plenty of hot tea on hand while we chatted. I’ll definitely be back!

An amazing experience as always. Emailed the salon to check availability of appointment times for a pedicure with Karen. Reception Staff were very prompt in responding. Dependable, responsible definitely is a plus as a working woman. I recommend all services that the salon offers. My toes look fabulous!!!

I had the best massage from Mariah I have EVER had. Very clean, relaxing, and friendly.

Instead of the normal signature I usually go for, I opted for a deep tissue massage this time. Mariah listened to the areas where I needed the most work, and carefully worked around areas where I was too tender. She played around with pressure, and seemed to pickup on my natural reactions — working a little deeper, or lightening her touch with certain muscles. Arrive early, have some cucumber water, and ask for a heated neck pad while you wait! I’ve forgotten the name of the hostess/greeter — but she was super accommodating and forced(in the good way) the heated neck pad which was awesome! Plus — locals get a 20% discount!

Everything was great! Most notable was the friendly, professional, and down-to-earth service. From the front desk hostess to the massage therapists, everyone was most gracious and made us feel very special. The massage with Maggie was perfect from head to toe(literally). Also enjoyed the extras — coffee, tea, and fruit(also saw nuts, chocolates, and granola bars, but didn’t dig in to those). We were on a time constraint, but would have loved to enjoy the outdoor courtyard area — next time. One small point of feedback would be to freshen up the locker rooms just a tad — perhaps newer/softer towels and signs on the hampers(for dirty laundry and slippers) — just to give it a more polished feel. These things did not take away from our experience and everything else was very clean and accommodating. We would definitely come back here!

I’ve been following Maria for the past 7 years. She’s amazing — great person, incredibly talented, and all around wonderful. Her new place is awesome and I can’t wait to get a massage. Congrats Maria and Charles, your dream has come true!!! ps. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
