Terrible. Mediocre food. Potatoes were cold. Service terrible. Anchovy omelette had all the anchovies piled at one end. My friend’s Benedict had english muffins that were not toasted. Asked for water while ordering. Water came at the end, with the check. Waitress seems overextended. Management should get their act together. Big crowd but considering the food quality and terrible terrible service I will never ever go back.

In the area for work and was looking to start my day with a delicious breakfast. Stumbled across this place and am SO glad I did! First off, adorable little place inside and out along with friendly service! I had the omelette with turkey, sprouts, avocado, and cheese. It was HUGE! It was served with potatoes and my choice of wheat sourdough toast. I was definitely full and very pleased with my meal and service! I honestly could’ve split the breakfast with my coworker because it so big. It was hard to choose what I wanted because everything sounded amazing! Definitely reasonably priced, too, considering the location, price, quantity, and quality!

First time trying this place today! I loved it! The pictures on Unilocal reviews don’t do it justice. We had the bacon-avocado omelette and ham and bell pepper. You get your choice of cheese and a mountain of home fried potatoes. Neither of us could finish our plate. The service was equally as good as the food! We got there at 9am and by 9:30 it was a packed house and people were waiting outside. Worth the wait for sure!!! Sorry no pics… My mouth was watering before the plate touched the table. Enjoy :)

Big portions, well cooked food, sweet waitstaff but poor quality ingredients. It’s a cheap diner pretending to be a better brunch spot. Good coffee. Pricey for Denny’s quality.

The food is pretty good, the coffee is great… It bugs me when places that have good food and coffee but become subpar when they have the un-refrigerated little capsules of half and half… Just bugs me!

Bustling with happy customers and quick paced servers and cooks, this is my favorite breakfast near home. Don is often present and says hello. He is a welcome host at this location, although we do enjoy the Windsor location too, we miss him when we go there. The food is hot and perfectly prepared. Large portions, and a good selection of both breakfast and lunch items. Choice of good coffee, teas, wine, beer and even an Espresso bar. My only regret is that we can’t come here more often!

What a great breakfast! I had the shrimp omelette with scallions, spinach and cheddar. Huge servings — definitely enough to share! It’s usually busy but we didn’t wait long — only 15 min and it was worth the wait!

Nice location, cute ombiance, good food, disgusting sound track of drumming obnoxious sound ruined my breakfast.

We have been going to this Old Town Santa Rosa omelette place for years. In the past, the eggs were fluffy. full of goodies… home-fries scrumptious. During our last visit two days ago the service was good. The omelette was mediocre at best. And… I experienced food poisoning. Nausea, heartburn, fever… the whole gambit. It took about 36-hours for the problem to work out of my system. It was the most severer stomach/lower GI problem I have experienced in 20+ years. I do not think I will return to Omelettes Express. First the positive. Our waitress was terrific: friendly, efficient, quick with the coffee refills. Now the rest of our experience. I know this place has been here a long time but they have lost their way. My husband and I both ordered omelets with potatoes: his with anchovies and cheese, mine with bacon, avocado, and cheese. I noticed him putting hot sauce and then ketchup on the omelet liberally so I asked if he liked it. Turns out ALL of the anchovies were lumped at one end of the omelet, making it so overpowering he couldn’t eat it. He did manage a few bites from the other end but left 2⁄3 of it on his plate. No way to know if the chef was careless or deliberately hostile. My omelet was fine. Not long after we left the restaurant both of us had to go to the bathroom rather urgently. That’s a common reaction to eating food that’s spoiled. Since the potatoes were the only thing we had in common, that must have been the problem. And the prices were high. With a coupon good for a free breakfast entrée(«up to $ 10» it said in the small print), it cost us $ 35 for two omelets and two coffees. Bottom line: we won’t be back. The food was expensive, part awful and part good but not great, and we both got sick. There are so many other choices for breakfast that there’s just no reason to settle for this.

Wow. I’ve always wanted to come here and found myself in this railroad square hood this morning. It’s cold outside but warm in here – the service, the greeting, the coffee and my yummy omelette made to order in about 6 minutes! Wish I lived closer. I’ll be back!

Food: 4.5 — The portions are HUGE. The omelets we had were wonderful. Bacon, tomato, avocado, and cheese. How can you go wrong? It was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. Not only is the omelet massive but it comes served next to a bed of potatoes and a piece of toast as big as your shoe(as long as you wear a men’s 11). The potatoes were good but could have been a little crispier for my taste. Again, not bad, just not 100% my style. Service: 4.5 — Very pleasant, attentive waitress. The food came out much faster than I would have expected which is a bonus in my book. Atmosphere: 4.5 — Really neat vibe inside the joint. There are some front ends of some old vintage cars hanging off the wall. There are some neat murals on the wall. They have some golden oldies playing over the speakers. We arrived right after they opened on a Friday morning. The restaurant wasn’t crowded at all. The only thing I will add is that the bill was a little higher than I would have expected. My wife and I had omelets and coffee and our bill with tip was $ 46. I think it’s worth it to try at least once. If I lived in the area I am not sure I could afford to frequent this establishment despite it being so good.

Great downtown location! Don’t be scared away by the long lines on weekend mornings – seating is quick and efficient. Servers acknowledge you right away as you peruse the menu to create your own omelette or order one of their specialities. Food was delivered to our table without a long wait – loved the chunk of fresh sourdough toast! The kids will love the entertaining magic act table side! After breakfast/brunch, stroll through the unique downtown shops – located in the Historic Railroad Square, Downtown

Mr. Don Taylor, You might have had an unsuccessful run at being part of the Santa Rosa City Council, but you sure can run a great breakfast operation! Not many restaurant owners will attend to hostess-duties on weekend mornings, but you do a great job controlling those large groups of hungry customers! Your waitresses are amazing at their job. Your omelettes are humongous and delicious. Those home fries are pretty dang good too. Menu is pretty pricey for comfort food entrees, but the quality and ambiance more than make up for it. There’s nothing better than walking around beautiful Railroad Square after a big breakfast. I can’t wait to be come back again. Sincerely A happy repeat customer!

This place is familiar & consistent. Years ago(and we’re talkin’ YEARS ago) I was a student living in Santa Rosa — meals here were a «rare treat» because of the cost. Yes, it can be pricy, but it is an excellent establishment perfectly located in the heart of town and well worth the cost! Trust me!

Order an Omelette, use the restroom, Omelette on the table. Sounds like an express omelette. Wait… sounds like something I’ve heard of… Shrimp avocado sprouts and cheese omelette is the winner, simply because I don’t know many other places that cool their sprouts-which is delicious! Come before 11 on a Saturday and you’ll get seated without a wait!

Went to brunch this morning with friends. Ordered an omelet, eggs Benedict and some french toast with sides. Although I shared the omelet with my friend there was plenty to leave us both full. Excellent Benedict and yummy french toast!

They have good food. Good service. Sizes were very generous. I got two things thinking it would be smaller size so I could finish it, and *Whoa! * what a shock I had. I liked the potatoes. The waitress was nice. The omelet was good. French toast was AWESOME!!! This is for the french toast. A AW AWE AWES AWESO AWESOM AWESOME AWESOM AWESO AWES AWE AW A Sad thing is– NOPANCAKES!!! I mean seriously, pancakes are a HUGE thing in the breakfast world. ;(What place has no pancakes? I was pretty disappointed with that. Had very cute décor to match their theme of cars and trains. They have old cars, the front part, with cool colors and the number plates for the states is cool. The decorations are a real treat. Very homely. Feels a bit like home. Tasty food, very generous, homely, and lack of pancakes. None the less it was over all good, not great, good.

The food is good, definitely made fresh to order, the portions are crazy big and the prices are pretty up there. Although I do like the food, I think that one plate can be split between two people. Not a huge issue but if you haven’t been it’s definitely good to know unless you want to spend a fortune on a basic breakfast. Nothing too fancy going on here, casual atmosphere and good service. Plenty of selection and there’s an omelette for everyone. If you’ve had one too many Pliny’s the night before in downtown SR, you might end up here the next morning. Just don’t be like the girl who I sat near last time in her full on outfit and makeup from the night before.

Someone needs to take an omelette picture with a foot-long ruler for scale. These things are huge. Next time I might take the time to look through the menu and put together something like Two eggs with bacon and toast, but today I chose one of the featured omelettes. Linguiça, scallion and cheese. It’s probably the equivalent of three extra large eggs and chock full of meat, scallion and cheese. The potatoes were good, the English muffin was A-OK. My coffee cup was kept full. No complaints. I realized later that they have an espresso bar. Next time in addition to a simpler egg order, I’ll probably got an Americano instead of the house coffee. Big tables to spread out papers or multiple electronic devices and fast wifi make it a good spot to get stuff done.
