I started physical therapy in June following a fall that resulted in a broken shoulder. My introduction to OSPT was first made with Ana. She made me feel from the beginning that she was there to help me with any of my questions or concerns related to beginning physical therapy. She took my insurance information and was able to verify what my coverage was, how many visits were covered and what I could expect to pay. She is very soft spoken yet confidant and I found her to be reassuring as well. She made such a positive impression on me that I felt like I had reconnected with an old friend when I finally met her at my first visit. My first visit was with Robert Leavitt. He assessed my condition, my flexibility and my strength. He answered my questions and gave me his full attention patiently. For the next 8 weeks I saw Robert and Guy Mohr twice a week. They gently stretched my arm, somehow sensing my pain threshold and never pushing me farther than I could take. They gave me exercises to do and I was diligent in following their direction. I was able to go back to work as a hairstylist after the first 5 weeks of therapy. They advised me in what exercises to do to strengthen my arm and shoulder and also treat the new stresses on my shoulder that I created being back at work. For the past 3 weeks I have had physical therapy once a week and have two scheduled out for the last month. It’s important for me to note that I most often went to many therapy sessions feeling discomfort and always left feeling better. Both Robert and Guy are knowledgeable and skilled practitioners. From the beginning I felt I could trust them with my care and recovery. They were pleasant, gentle, respectful and professional at every treatment. They always asked me how I was doing and addressed my issues. At one appointment when Guy asked how I was doing I told him I was tired of complaining. He matter of factly told me I wasn’t complaining I was informing. While they each have a different style in their approach to therapy, I found their styles complemented each other in regards to my treatment. I feel very fortunate to have been in their care. I also observed the care that other patients received at OSPT. There is a wide range of age among patients that have treatment and exercise there. I was pleased to see the kindness and encouraging patience they showed with their eldest patients and the playful coaching with their younger ones. At one visit several women,(who had been back to OSPT for treatment of various issues), commented that they felt like«physical therapy junkies». They kept coming back because they had enjoyed the experience with John, Robert and Guy. I could soooo relate! I also must add that while I have had the best treatment and instruction from Robert and Guy, I also did my homework/exercises that were assigned to me. You can’t just go to therapy and expect results. You must listen to your therapist and communicate your aches and pains. I have great range of motion, increasing strength and less discomfort every week. I’m committed to doing the exercises that Robert and Guy have given me for however long is recommended to insure maximum recovery. I feel very fortunate to have had such a positive end to a potentially debilitating injury.

i have been to a few physical therapist in my time, but have found robin, at ospt to be the best. she listens carefully and knows the correct exercises for my situation. i do not feel like someone is giving me cookie cutter therapy, as i have felt at other pt clinics. i think she is an excellent physical therapist and would definitely recommend her. and, she is a calming, lovely person, to boot. i am very happy i chose this clinic and they suggested robin for me. cathryn gehring, santa rosa, ca

I had a total knee replacement in June 2014. John and Guy did a fabulous job of keeping me motivated and increasing my movement and range of motion in my knee. I am after 4 months cycling, hiking and even playing racquetball. I recommend OSPT to everyone in need of therapy. They were kind and respective to my pain tolerances and worked with me to strengthen my body!

I’ve been going to OSPT for 20+ years, my wife for five or so years. During that time, John and Guy have helped us resolve numerous issues from locked shoulders, to back issues, to neck pain and full knee replacement rehab. I would never use anyone else for these services. For a time in the 90s, I lost track of OSPT and tried a couple of other local PT practitioners with dismal results. After that, I found my way back to OSPT and have never looked back. John and his crew are caring, professional and the type of therapists who won’t let you leave until you’re completely cured. That’s a whole lot more than I can say for other therapists I’ve used.

Not impressed with their intake process at all. The first question? «What’s your insurance?» And then the intake person proceeded to quiz me on insurance and payment options. Without even asking my name? Or perhaps, my diagnosis? Needless to say, I will be getting PT somewhere else.

Numero Uno– bar none! I went to OSPT for five separate injuries and got AAAAA treatment(would put down a sixth A but guess it’s now allowed LOL). Everyone on staff there is super nice and mellow, they have a way of decreasing your emotional stress as well as physical when you are recovering from an injury. I had four of their physical therapists work on me at one time or another and they were all easy to talk to and wouldn’t stress me beyond my pain threshold. The equipment there is state of the art. I would recommend OSPT to anyone, athlete or otherwise-.

I can’t say enough about this place. . after a serious soft-tissue knee injury w/surgery at age 61, i was in danger of never regaining full range of motion. But thanks to the therapists here, i’ve regained full range of motion, and was even able to cancel a scheduled scar-tissue-removal surgical procedure. They have the knowledge, people skills, and follow-through to truly help their patients to regain their lifestyle, and I feel lucky to have been referred here! I strongly recommend them!

The therapists at OSPT are amazing! After 4 years of on going neck and shoulder pain, John and the therapists that have treated me, have been able to eliminate my pain, and prescribe exercises to keep my neck and shoulders strong and pain free! Patient education is an important part of treatment at OSPT, and it was explained to me from the beginning of treatment that I would be required to continue my exercises each and every day. Additionally, the office staff is friendly, efficient, and, as an added bonus, there is an adorable Canine Companion Golden Retriever occasionally on site wagging her tail and willing to visit patients. OSPT is the best!

I’ve been to PT’s off and on most of my life and OSPT is the only place that has actually figured out and fixed me. The staff is awesome. They make you feel at home and comfortable. It is a professional buisness yet they have fun at the same time, not all stuffy like others I’ve been to. They explain things so you can understand and they match you up with the right PT. All I can say is that they know their stuff and I actually carry some of their buisness cards with me cause I totally recomend them.
