Do you want to know what it’s like to be invisible? Just walk into this place.
I went there for dinner and when I walked in there were maybe 6 people in the whole place. I soon found out why. I stood in front of the counter ready to give them my order. Nobody even acknowledged my presence. Two employees walked right by me and didn’t say boo. If that’s how they treat everyone it’s a miracle even 6 people were in there.
I was, though, glad to see the employees were keeping up with their texting. It’s good that they had the time to stay in touch with their friends and relatives.

The beer battered fish burrito is absolutely the best! I also like the shrimp and bacon burrito, the grilled chicken quesadilla, and the lemon coconut dessert bars!!!

We have this theory that Rubio’s quality tanks the further you get from the mother ship. Since my other half is from San Diego he developed an early love for the chain and we frequent them in every city we find one.
The location was just ok and the furthest one from SD we’ve been in. Our orders were both slightly wrong in non-​dramatic ways that we didn’t bother to go have corrected.
The chipotle sauce, and everything actually, tastes different than chains more southern ward. We won’t come back to this location, not because of anything horrific, but just because it doesn’t tickle our tastebuds the way we want it to. Bummer too because we adore Rubio’s. If you find one while you’re traveling in So. CA try it out. I Iove the grilled salmon or the salsa verde shrimp taco plate.

I rarely eat at fast food restaurants and avoid most chains, but this is actually one of my favorite places for a quick good meal. Food is always fresh, tasty, and fast. Staff are friendly. The place is clean. Salsa is always good and well stocked. Even the desserts are tasty and not at all typical fast food crap. I’m never disappointed. Hard to believe anyone would trash this place.
