I’ve been here twice, which means… This place is worth the visit, considering I have a Keurig coffee machine at home that does just fine for $ 0.58/cup. This coffee house is right on the corner of 4th/Montgomery(?) which you’d expect to have busy parking, but it isn’t a hassle early in the morning,(around 8am), unlike Peets, or Starbucks… Which always has a line. The selection of pastries is about the same as Starbucks, although honestly… I think they taste better. The coffee is made individually, the guy behind the counter(barista)? takes his coffee making skills seriously. Nice, quaint/quiet atmosphere on weekday mornings. I’m in/out in less than minutes with coffee, and pastries in hand.

Still sitting here. Great coffee and crumb cake served by the owner. We’re here with my brother on his birthday and the owner just gave him a large coffee mug when my brother decided he needed it because it had his astrological sign on it. Those star things have meaning for some people. The gentleman also washed and filled the cup with chocolates before he brought it back to our table and presented it to my brother.

I used to go to the location on Administration Dr almost everyday. Britney helped me every time I went for about 2 months. She remembered my name and made my drink perfectly which made my experience that much better. They eventually hired a young man to make the drinks and he seemed nice until my last experience at this location. I told Britney as she took my order to make it extra hot because since the young man started my drink has been cold by the time I arrive back at my desk. She apologized and I waited for my drink. It was ready and I grabbed my drink and went on my way. On my way out the door I heard Britney ask the young man if he made sure it was extra hot and I guess he didn’t realize I wasn’t out the door yet because he replied saying«F*** no I’m a real barista, I don’t burn milk, people are stupid.» I was so upset and honestly will not be going back in there until he is gone. Good coffee(when hot) but not worth being called stupid for not liking Luke warm coffee.

They do a good job with the coffee here — very good in fact. They are a bit slow and the seating isn’t as inviting as I would like but for a chance of pace I’ll pop in here once or twice a month. Genuine and friendly staff in all my experiences. And a change of pace for Santa Rosa coffee shops — the pastries actually taste good. Extra star just for that.

Friendly staff but definitely could use some more assistance. Waited almost 10 minutes for Americano and was missing the coconut milk requested. I’m guessing he just forgot as there were so many orders to place before he got to mine. Espresso tasted burnt but the French Roast drip was decent. Vibe is a little knick-knacky but they offer free WiFi.

Fast service. The guy at the counter greeted me with a warm welcome. I got a mocha frap and 7 layer bar. They were good. I will come here again.

I went back and gave them a second chance. Mistake. It was just as bad as before. I stick by my original review. It’s Great Depression coffee. Weak and lukewarm

This is probably the best spot to get some work done and enjoy coffee and pastries in Santa Rosa. The WiFi is free and reliable and doesn’t require a login, and the atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious. I love that they have a bookshelf of books to choose from as well if you just want to come and read for a bit. Staff are always friendly, and despite the fact that many people(myself included) do come here and stay for a long while, there always seems to be a few seats available. It’s pretty cozy here, come check it out.

Went in for the first time and was met with no smile and a matter of fact attitude from the gal behind the counter. Won’t be back!

Great local coffee shop, family owned, quiet, friendly atmosphere. I was getting some work done across the street at the Big O Tires and was looking for some coffee better than whatever the dark liquid in the pot at Big O was — not a tall order by any stretch of the word, «coffee» for certain ;) Not expecting much, I was very pleasantly surprised and delighted by not only the excellent mocha but by the enticing menu options — lotsa good options, all very tempting! The customer service was genuinely friendly and polite. I sat outside with my dog and read while enjoying my coffee and Greek yogurt w/granola as well as a warm, sunny California morning. Even had a nice chat with one of the baristas while she was outside on a break. My dog, Lucy, of course did her best to implore a bite of food from Leah(sp?), who wasn’t having it but was otherwise charmingly considerate of the unsolicited canine affection. All in all an excellent café, nice folk working there, great coffee, and a pleasant atmosphere.

I’ve been here before because the coffee is good. But today it was«great» they have really great employees right now who know how to do justice to the bean for sure. My cappuccino was one of the«Best» I’ve had in town or any town. There’s one Gal there who is doing foam art like no other coffee shop in town. She has some mad skills with cappuccino foam. Hearts– ordinary, leaves– boring but CATS, PANDAS, OWLSAMAZING! Go on in and get some really good coffee then stay awhile the shop is really relaxing and inviting. I like to sit outside on there patio and do some people watching while sipping my fabulous kitty cappuccino

Good room for casual meetings with people. I have only had one of their types of house coffee so far, but it was pretty good. I’m sure I will be back.

It is beyond painful to give two stars to my favorite coffee shop in Sonoma County. This morning, however, my views have changed. I got a large decaf iced Americano with light ice. The lady taking my order was and is the most fantastic employee. She’s wonderful and funny and helpful. But the one that was making it was another story all together. She left a lot of room for cream and I wanted it filled with ice, which I know goes against my light ice but I changed my mind. She was hostile and made me feel like a dumbass. She in a snotty tone«Oh, so you want ice now?!» I thought it was just me that she was rude to but it was two other people. Next, the cashier had to grab a cup that was behind her and she yelled at her to say«behind you» next time. Which she did in fact say. Next, a man who was outside came in and asked if the two drinks on the bar were his. She said, once again, in an awful tone, «I called them a few times» Needless to say, this barista should not be working in any business that involves customer service. I’ve never come out of any business feeling awkward, dumb, and extremely pissed off. I will not be returning here for a very long time.

First of all, my wife and I believe in supporting local business owners whenever possible. Nabi, the owner of SoCo Coffee and his crew make this easy as they are very friendly and welcoming and they make a great cup of coffee(the best in Santa Rosa, as far as we are concerned) or tea or whatever you like. Their Mediterranean«pizza» on a poppy seed bagel and their salads are delicious! SoCo has a great eclectic mix of community and they support local artists by showing their work on the walls. Folks meet regularly to play chess, have their bookclubs, Italian conversation groups, and knitting groups, in addition to conducting business meetings or just to write the great American novel on their laptops. SoCo just opened two other locations: one at the County Administration building and the other at the County Hall of Justice, both of which are handy if you are near the Coddingtown side of town.

The clientele of this coffee shop is quite different than any other I’ve been to. The age distribution of people frequenting the shop almost has a bimodal distribution with the first peak at 8 years old and the second around 60. They have toys for kids to play with so I think that is what draws the first peak of clients. Not sure about the second one. Thursday afternoons a weekly knitting circle gathers here. This week there were about 10 women huddled around the large table discussing knitting and all sorts of current events. If you are one for a quieter environment while working I would make sure to bring ear plugs if you’re coming on a Thursday. I had a caramel latte when I went and it was fantastic. It wasn’t at all bitter which is what I like in any espresso drink. I love that they have«for here» cups in all different sizes. There is nothing like curling your hands around a real mug while enjoying your coffee. My other favorite parts of the shop are the local books and artwork for sale. The 3 star review is just because this coffee shop isn’t really my scene. However, this is a cute shop and the espresso really is quite good.
