This place looked a little dive — bar from the outside, but on the inside it was a little swankier(sp?) Anyway, I wasn’t impressed with the music last night, and the drinks seemed to be watered down. I took an international client here, and while he was sort of impressed, I felt I could have done better. All in all, however, about average. By the way, I don’ really get why they call it the Vine. Other than it being in Santa Rosa, there is no tie in.

You guys really don’t know your crowd do you? Who the hell tells people at 11PM that they are not letting anyone else in the doors? Get real.

Keep in mind that I have never seen this club during its former days as Club Seven… I found this place to be a refreshing new venue… Sadly, I have to give it three stars because almost nobody comes here :(Its a shame because the club is great — and the DJ who was playing was AMAZING. He played everything from MGMT to classic hip hop, dance songs… Lots of fun! The few people that do end up venturing to The Vine are usually pretty cool… They have a ton of VIP services and booths… Hopefully one day this place picks up!

Nope. Totally gross. No change since they changed the name from Seven except for the ownership and the three big screen t.v.s that are posted up right next to each other. Lame décor, lame crowd, lame $ 10.00 cover charge on a Wednesday night for lame d.j.s. There isn’t a bar that has ever or will ever be in Santa Rosa that can justify charging TENBUCKS to get into. Don’t let them fool you by telling you that this is a music venue and you’re getting top quality d.j.s…

Yes, this was the club formerly known as Seven. Also formerly known for bar fights and a shooting at the garage across the street. It’s only been open for two months under a change of ownership. Although the crowd was weak last night(read: PLENTY of room on the dance floor) I found it sort of a welcome because it’s a change from the crowded clubs in SF. When I don’t know what to order at a bar, I go with my trusty cosmo. If the bartender doesn’t mess that up, then it’s all good. However, my cosmo tasted a lot like juice and I’ve never seen one garnished with a maraschino cherry. Have you? The margarita was also a disappointment. I was ready to move on to the more busier hang out spots on 4th street, when I met one of the owners, Katie, who reeled me in with a Jolly Rancher shot. And a chocolate cake shot after that. Katie(originally from SF too) is super easy to talk to and you can find her at the Vine almost every weekend, chatting it up with the patrons. If you happen to be in the area, come to The Vine before 10:30pm to save yourself the $ 10 cover charge. Our DJ that night was totally rockin. He even did a tribute to MJ and played couple of his songs. When«Thriller» came on, everybody busted out their best zombie moves. That would have made MJ proud. Fun times at the Vine. BTW, no shooting incidents last night either.

Showed up on Thursday night to go country dancing and a clogging group was there making a racket and taking up the entire dance floor. Sorry guys, I know it was you first week for country, but if the cloggers are there, the country dancers won’t. Another option to KJ’s for country would be great!

We got there a little early, and saw that it was dead, so we checked out some other spots, but came back ultimately cause the music(for the little time we were in there was great). When we came back, there were a few more people, but still seemed slow for a Saturday night. The music was awesome, the bartender gave great drinks and as the night progressed a few more people had joined the fun. I can’t fault the club for the low turn out, since it’s under new ownership, it might take a little bit before word spreads about how good everything else is. Not to mention, it seemed like the people that were there were making the most of the low turn out and a little more flirty. We ended up dancing with some really fun girls and had a good time. I will definitely be going back, hopefully word will spread and more will turn out in the future.
