On my quest to find some terrific grilled cheese sandwiches with a twist, I found myself heat dwelling over their offerings on their menu. Although the pulled pork, sauteed onions, and macaroni and cheese sandwich looked and sounded amazing, I settled for the Italian Delight with pepperoni, provolone, fresh basil, and sundried tomatoes on a pressed panini sourdough bread for $ 5.25. The grilled cheese looked great with its great golden brown color and a great exterior crunch.( ) The melted provolone cheese had mild smokey flavor and nutty after taste. I was very fond of the basil spread. It was flavorful and the fresh basil flavor game through well. The sundried tomatoes added a nice salty and acidic element with sweet overtones.( ) However, what put a zing in the grilled cheese was the spiciness, salty, and tasty pepperoni slices( ). The ingredients all went well together, and it sure helped having a great crunchy bread. The way it should be. The young lady who was running the stand was very cool. She gave me a nice run down on the menu and made future suggestions. Also, it is important to note that Cheesy Express is located inside the BP gas station( ).

What a surprise to get a sandwich this good from a little place in a gas station. I’ve been back three weekends in a row trying different combinations, and have yet to try one that wasn’t great.

Wife’s review: she had their most popular sandwich, the Mac n cheese and bbq beef. she liked the flavor of the sandwich, she could only finish half. She loves Mac and cheese and would go back again. Nothing outstanding though. My review: 1) the co-owner is awesome. Very nice and everything you expect a small business owner to be. Customer service is 5 stars. 2) my spicy turkey was just okay. Definitely a good size sandwich and I’m a big boy. Wish there was more meat on it and not super spicy. I added bacon, I wish the bacon was thicker and crispier. 3) It’s kinda cool it’s in a convenience store too so you can get your favorite chips, soda or adult beverage I will defiantly go back, just for a different sandwich. I did not try their deserts sorry.

Inside of a gas station quickie mart, this was a pleasant surprise. All of the sandwiches had a touch of schnazzyness too. I got the pulled pork with Mac n Cheese and it was great, thick toast with a nice crunch. The gf made her own and we split a s’mores melt for dessert, that was delicious. The prices are reasonable, the food is fresh and quick as well as more than enough to make a second snack out of it.

I’m not even a grilled cheese type of guy, but this place is bomb. Cheddar, Italian Bread, jalepenos and caramelized onions… that’s the bee’s knees right there.

Ok, so, I really wanted to love this place and give them 5 stars, and believe me, I tried, but its simply a 3 star place for me. My roommate and I drove on over after someone left a flyer at my work. Its located inside a gas station, which is convenient if you’d like any chips or a drink along with your sammie. My roomie ordered the BBQ Mac with no onions, and the P&B Melt for dessert. I ordered the Zuckerman’s Crunch & a S’Mores melt for dessert. The girl that did our sandwiches was sweet, but a little slow. She offered to upgrade our dessert bread for $ 0.50 to wheat which is larger. I didn’t need thaaaat many carbs, so I opted to stick with the smaller bread. So, I added«Strawberries» to my dessert sandwich, and that’s where the disappointment began. It was strawberry jam, not strawberries, and it made my sandwich an even messier melty chaos. The marshmallows are not toasted, as the menu specifies, but merely melted in the sandwich. The flavor of the nutella gets lost, and the graham cracker becomes just some more soggy bread. I was really disappointed. The rest of the sandwiches were great, but the smores melt made me sad. :(boooo.

My brother and I were looking for a quick bite to eat and heard about Cheesy Express. We decided to give it a try! We are glad we did. The shop is inside a corner gas station off of Mission Gorge Rd. Once inside we ordered two sandwiches to go. The JD Melt and BBQ Mac caught our attention. After speaking to the gentleman behind the counter and listening about his story made it that much more enjoyable. See, the employee is the owner and uses word of mouth referral and had the idea of starting a grilled cheese sandwich shop, because honestly, there are no shops like it… Smart move! We were very impressed with the professional service(rare these days) and the quality of food. The Italian bread was fresh and generous to say the least! The BBQ Mac was incredible and paired perfectly together… We recommend all go and try this business and see for yourself, also we love supporting small businesses that take the leap into a big pond. With the help of social media and continued word of mouth, I could see this business become the next real big thing! Best of luck and Bön Appetite!

I stopped in after work to see what this place was all about. The gentlemen at the counter was very friendly and gave me some samples of the bbq pulled pork and a free cup of the tomato soup and it was very good. I ordered the Zukerman’s Crunch and it was flavorful and a decent sized sandwich for the price. I will be going back for sure!

They said the the turkey was really good and my BBQ and Mac sandwich was to die for! Definitely hope this place sticks around, Odd that its in a gas station but totally worth it! We also got all three of the desserts to try, and Man! definitely at least try one when you are there, all three are really good and really taste homemade.
