Fox’s Pizza Den

This is like a standard, non-​NY style, non-​Chicago style, not even California style pizza. Slightly fluffy, non offensive crust, generic cheese. Little flavor overall.
I grew up in a small town in the midwest eating Little Caesars and thinking it was great (I know, I know!). It wasn’t until I lived in different places that I discovered it was NOT good! So I am very familiar with this type of pie. Fox’s is like Little Caesar’s *style* pizza. It’s definitely better – but it’s that style. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say.

Ordered pizza to be delivered on a weeknight. Ordered about 40 minutes before two guests were to arrive for a Bachelor viewing party. Pizza took over an hour for delivery. Also, the was a delivery charge. With pizza fee, delivery charge, and tip, it was overpriced. Pizza was good though.

This place has excellent pizza. calzones (soooo good) and salads. Plus it’s so close. Didn’t give it 5 stars because of the parmesan wings. Pizza Hut has the best for me. Still love this place.

Usually has delicious pizza cooked to perfection. Not today. Soggy and too much sauce. Plus, customer service today was awful. Rude. The driver especially was having a bad day and decided it was OK to take it out on the customers. Won’t be eating here for awhile. That’s for sure. Hopefully their pizzas improve in taste and quality soon, like they used to be. Sad when a place stops caring about their customers and quality of food.

Fox’s Pizza Den in Santee made our Christmas Eve delightful! The pizzas were outstanding, the antipasto salads were very fresh and delicious, and to top off the evening, Grandma’s Apple pizza — just fantastic. Delivery was perfect, on time and food was hot! Thanks to Fox’s all I had to do was enjoy! It was perfect thanks to Fox’s!!!

Ordered a pizza at 6:00 and didn’t get it til 7:30. They were so unorganized and gave away my pizza twice. Someone should have made sure I was taken care of… terrible customer service. Save yourself some time and don’t go to this place.

I would have given them more stars bc the pizza was good. However we were charged extra for things we were not told about and never told about the specials over the phone. They forgot one of our toppings too. Not that it is there fault for not telling us about the specials but it would have been nice to find out before I walked in to pay almost double. I have not tried to call them about it so maybe they would resolve it.
So all in all pizza is good!

I am so excited that this place exists. I saw someone getting a delivery on our street in San Carlos, and no good pizza delivers around here. we ordered, and it was great! excellent crust too. My favorite has always been San Fillipos, but now they are going out of business and I am happy to find Fox’s Pizza Den. Cheese was excellent and we tried the specialty Steak Rancher pizza, different and good. thanks !

Great pizza joint! Every pizza made here is delicious I’ve ordered from this place for years. I enjoy all of there pizzas my wife’s personal favorite is the white garlic sauce pizza with tomatoes.

I stopped in this Santee Fox Den, the only one located in California, with many other locations around the United States. I heard they made sandwiches out of pizza crust and the curious natured person I am, I just had to try it.
I ordered the Club Wedgie which came with baked ham, deli turkey, real bacon, melted Fox’s cheese blend, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and I axed the mayo. It was a half wedgie lunch special for only $ 5 and came with a bag of chips and a can of soda. One thing that surprised me and I liked, was that the whole wedgie as baked to a piping hot perfection.
The club came with a generous amount of warm and savory ham and turkey. The bacon was much more limited, but effective and in flavor and its crispy texture. I liked their cheese blend or sauce with its zesty flavor and creaminess. The lettuce and tomatoes were good and the pizza crust used for the bread in this sandwich or wedgie, was fantastic.
The bread crust, so to speak, had a great initial crunch and then soft and moist center with a bit of a chew. It was more crispy than soft, I may point out. Anyways, in the end, I thought it was the best thing about this wedgie and a great concept. The BBQ chips were good and so was that iced cold Dr. Pepper.

We ordered a medium and a large for delivery. They said the estimated time would be between 45 minutes to an hour. We got our pizzas in 30 minutes. This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Definitely ordering again.

This past Sunday we were at my friends house watching Football and decided to order pizza and Fox’s was about a mile away so we called an order in for delivery. Joe said it would be about 45 min to an hour, which is pretty much average wait for delivery so no problem. We ordered a large supreme and the big daddy pepperoni.
45 min came and no pizza.
An hour came and no pizza.
An hour and 15 min came and no pizza.
Finally I called to ask about my order and they said that it was next in line to be made. I was like are you serious?!
The person on the one said it only takes about 7 min to make and that I would be the first delivery. 7 min to make the pizza and it’s been over an hour when we were 1.5 miles away. I know I’m complaining but with prices double their competitors I would expect better service.
That supreme pizza was good, just not $ 16 good. The big daddy pepperoni was dry and burnt, definitely not $ 24 good. I knew I should have stuck with Giant Pizza King but at least now I know.
If you live off of Mission Gorge and need pizza for delivery skip Fox’s.

Excellent calzones, pizza and omg there Apple crisp pizza (dessert) is AMAZING!!! Totally recommend! Great customer service too and they deliver! Thank you Fox’s Pizza Den– we finally found a great pizza place here in Santee!!!

Just a disappointment. I ordered pizza from here a few times because it’s close, but now I’m done. The last time I came to pick up my order and it wasn’t even cooked yet, which I wasn’t super upset about, but when I got it home I was sorry I waited. The pizza had way too much sauce for my taste and was all around just okay. I was also expecting more pizza for what I spent. I now go to the pizza place down the road.

So this is an update from my last review! Since my last review the service has been awesome!!! They have been more fast and polite and the food is still amazing! I found out that the manager himself does delivery sometimes so I suppose I really just did so happen to miss him each time I called… I felt the need to update this review since I found this out and also they truly have been doing better. 5 stars for sure!!!

I am a former fan of Pizza Hut delivery. No more. I just enjoyed my first experience here and was very impressed. Unlinke my previous pizza vendor, Fox’s had plenty of sauce, cheese, and toppings. And the sausage didn’t look or taste like pellets. At one hour on a week night, the service could be improved, but I was told up front it would be an hour. I look forward to my next Fox’s Pizza Den experience.

This has to be one of the best pizza places in all of San Diego. Pizzas are great and the prices are even better. Ordered from them many times and it is always great.

Amazing deals ! Huge pizza 2 orders of wings and soda for 29 bucks can’t beat it! And it’s very yummy my whole family loves it and there delivery drivers are always awesome and quick ! Thank u for giving us a pizza place with good food staff and deals !

Like it says on their window «GREAT PIZZA!» This restaurant has mastered the art of Italian pies with their truly amaze balls sauce and fresh ingredients, this PA favorite has become one of my personal favs as well. Also the wedgies are phenomenal.

Best pizza in Santee. The Veggie delight is my favorite, we order it at least once a month. The owners are super friendly. Once they forgot our salad, they brought it with free breadsticks and drinks.
