These guys are great! Always helpful and knowledgable and the prices are low. They are my first choice for grain and hops.

Unfortunately, as bad as it gets. It’s a liquor store with a very small section of hops, and grain, and a bunch of expired yeast that the man at the counter claimed was just fine, even though a few expired in 2011. The selection of home brew equipment is laughable at best. I needed British or English ale yeast, 005, and 002, which are pretty common and they had neither. Not even 007. They did have sake yeast which expired in 2011! Thankfully there’s another, much more well-stocked home brew store close by. who has actual brewing knowledge and is helpful. I’ll be going there from now on.

If by less you mean less hops, less yeast, less extract and less selection, then you have come to the right place! Conveniently located right off the 125 on Mission Gorge Rd. right in the heart of Clantee. OK, pros are done. On to the cons… I did a double take when I first saw this place. It’s not a home brewing store. It’s a really divey liquor store. I saw a short blurb on this place in The West Coaster, so I decided to check it out. I almost didn’t recognize it. Hella ads for Four Loko and the such on the doors and windows. A small little sign says«Home Brewed Supplies» amidst all the craziness. Inside you’ll find brewing stuff scattered all over about one third of the store. They do have a lot of grains, carboys, and canned extracts. However they did not have all the stuff I needed to make beer. When I’m out buying stuff for a batch, I don’t want to go to multiple stores. I like my one-stop shopping. Homebrew 4 Less did not have liquid extract(by the pound), the hops I needed in pellets or fresh flowers, or the right yeast. They had a whole mish mash of other stuff, though. I took a look around the store after determining that I was not going to be able to make beer today. They do have a good bottle selection, but the bottles were always $ 1 to $ 2 more than at other stores. At this place, Less truly is more($).
