This place is TO DIE FOR!!! The Acai peanut butter bowl is INCRET!!! They put the best stuff in it and even tho it’s probably 500 cals it is worth it and really filling. And good antioxidants :) Go check this place out if you haven’t today was my first time and I’ll def be back! Drive threw is fast and legit :)
All I can say about this place to improve is Maybe if they offered a lower in calorie peanut butter or pb2 or almond butter instead of just regular pb that would be on point :)

So… I found out about this place because I saw it on the news this morning! I absolutely love acai bowls, so I went to try one at lean bean. I was blown away!!! The best acai bowl I’ve ever had! This place is definitely going to be seeing me alot! The customer service was nothing but excellent! I was extremely pleased with the lean bean and highly suggest you get over there and try an acai bowl or any of the other things they offer! Thanks lean bean!

Great acai bowl! You will not be disappointed, get the one with peanut butter. It was my first visit there and the ladies were extremely nice.

Seriously, the best Acai bowls ever! I’ve tried many places and Lean Bean knocks it out of the park. I love the Acai with Peanut Butter! Super convenient drive-​thru and hardly ever a wait, and the girls are super friendly. I love this place!

Acai bowl with PEANUT BUTTER! Why didn’t I find this place earlier? It is a delicious mix. I pick mine up on the way to work around 9am and have never had a problem with a line. The ladies inside are super sweet and always have a smile. They are genuine, chatting with familiar customers, but keeping busy and making orders quickly.
They make a variety of coffee drinks. I can get picky and they take the time to listen and get it right. My husband also loves their PB Frost!
Great place, may be hard to notice at first. Just look for the bright green kiosk. And never judge it by its size!

This place has insane bowls, is delicious. I live in Anaheim, but when I go to San Diego I make sure I stop at the Lean Bean. The Acai bowl is delicious and they always make sure your bowl is full, almost air-​free. I would give them all the possible stars. They have limited opening hours, but their bowls are worth it.

I visit this local eatery frequently to scoop up an acai bowl. Trust me, get it with peanut butter. It has coconut, banana, acai, strawberries, peanut butter, and blue berries. It’s absolutely amazing. You can pay quickly via square and they send you a confirmation email. It’s a drive in, booth style coffee stand with the same friendly girl who always greets you with a smile and does it all on her own. Just a random place I decided to visit one day on my way to the 125 because I needed a pick me up and I’ve been going there ever since. That says something. I appreciate good service. I frequently travel in the car with my dog and she gave my dog a treat. It doesn’t get much better than that.

This place is very inconsestant, one day you get a great bang for your buck. The next it’s almost as if they wanted to see how long they could make their supply last. (We usally get acai bowls.) Past 4 – 6 times it’s been disappointing. My last straw is their inconsestant hours. An employee had told me they where going to remain open later during summer hours and close at 7. Current time is 5:13 and they are closed. They can’t even get their hours correct.

I really didn’t want to have to do this, but Its about time I change my review! Giving it 2 stars now because this is about the SIXTH+ time I’ve gone there during posted business and she is closed! One of the best ways to lose business is to close before closing hours! My mom tells me all the time that she also stops in around 4:30 — 5:00pm and is closed. She already lost my mom’s business, a friend of my mom’s business, and I think she’s about lost mine too! Posted «summer hours» are till 7:00pm. Always closed WAAAY before then!
Sorry girl, but I gotta do it. Tired of driving a ways just to go there and wasting my time, money, and gas! If u can’t stay open till 7pm like posted, then put up earlier hrs! Instead of handing out ur business card and telling people to call/​text u to see if ur still in during POSTED HRS… doesn’t matter, we r looking forward to getting ur stuff, and when ur not there (either way) when ur «supposed to be», u lose people, it’s kind of a let down. Business is business and if u can’t stay till ur posted open hrs pretty often, then it’s time to change them or u’ll continue to lose good costumers like me, and business…

A coworker suggested this place so I had to stop and try it since I pass it every day on the way to/​from work. Had the peanut butter acai bowl today – it was so good and service was fast. Would come here again.

After reading all the great reviews about how delicious the acai bowls are I figured I needed to try them. Oh my it was amazing, I got mine with the peanut butter and when I finished it I seriously wanted to drive back for another one.
Service was fast and friendly. I’ll definitely be back for more!

We just got a dirty chai tea latte and it was made to perfection! We usually just get the chai tea latte because it too is just the best!
Starbucks is passé and don’t hold a candle to the Lean Bean!

Another place that killed my taste buds and sent them soaring to Acai heaven. Holy moly Lean Bean. You sure knocked it out of the park with this one. Yet another hidden gem blessing the community of Santee with yummy-​ness.
I don’t know if this is the best or the worst discovery of my adult life but it’s official. Acai bowls will be the death of me. Equal part Acai. The other part? Awesomesauce. Seriously. The toppings and peanut butter are generous but they’ve nailed it on evening the playing field between the two. Can’t. Stop. EATING!
Did I mention I love their spoons? I know. Strange thing to love. But they’re SO deep! No shallow bites allowed.

You may miss this place on first try because it’s one of those drive up kiosks. I bailed on my first quest trying to find the place and vowed to come back again some other time. Don’t give up! It’s green and small. Don’t let the size fool you! The hunt Is always worth the treasure inside.
There WILL be a line. But they have two windows and the service is speedy quick. I waited all of three minutes while they prepared my yummy and fresh Acai.
These ladies are the sweetest! Almost as sweet as the Acai. ALMOST. Seriously though. Always a genuine smile with an attitude that shows they care about their customers. Super important in the day and age where there’s thousands of food places vying to please our taste buds. I’m not even kidding when I say good customer service makes the food taste that much better.
Now that I’m back in the hood, this will absolutely be my go to when I’m on the go! Thank you Lean Bean!

I don’t live in SD anymore, but whenever I’m in town, I still go hike Cowles Mountain and then come here for their KILLER acai bowls! They’re huge, delicious, and priced oh, so right!!!

Love this place and love their acái bowls! But today the kid working there took for… ev…er… There was one car in front of me and it took me 45 mins to get two acái bowls! I most definitely will be coming back, but if he is working there I will just keep driving by.
Love the place though, which is why it didn’t get worse than 4 stars.

Haven’t had a bad experience here the last 4 or 5 times I stopped by with my parents to grab an acai bowl. Thankfully cause I love the granola they use.

I’ve been coming here for over a year and there acai bowls where the best ones I’ve had, over the past weeks they have been just ehh. I went last Monday to get one an seriously the container was filled with granola and frozen berries you could just nearly see any acai so Disappointent in this place. Not coming back,

The only reason I stopped at this tiny little drive up stand was for the stellar reviews of the acai bowl and I’m so glad I did. Given the size of this place is as big as a mall kiosk, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. It was just what I was hoping for.
The price is $ 5.75 for an acai bowl, and a bit more for a acai peanut butter bowl. I chose the original and it came with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, coconut, and granola. She keeps the fruit assortment basic, which makes sense, and all in all it was a delicious bowl for a great price. I’m used to a little honey with my acai bowl, but the acai purée (or maybe sorbet) was sweet enough without it.
The lady that helped me was super nice, and quick too. Service with a smile is always a plus.
I’ll be back, and this time, I’m trying the peanut butter version. I may even get a coffee to go with it.

Love this drive thru coffee shop, even though I parked, and walked up to order and to take a few pictures. There prices are very reasonable, paying only $ 2.45 for a 16 oz Decaf Americano with a touch of cream.
The Americano was really smooth and full of great flavor but without the caffeine punch. The young lady working knows how to make some good coffee. (

The also make blended drinks, smoothies, provide wheat grass shots, and make Acai bowls (
), but best of all, you get served with a big smile. Great way to start your day indeed.
The place is located right on Mission George near the 125 freeway exit. You can’t miss the bright green building. (
