Under new management and now operating under the business name«The Coffee Corner.» This place has a great atmosphere! Very welcoming and really friendly staff. It’s a new business so they’re still working out their niche in the community but they’re definitely on the way up and even getting a drive up window. If you’re looking for great coffee with a personal feel this is just the place for you.

Went here for the first time with a friend the other day. She is good friends with the owner and has taken the photos you see hung up. my iced coffee with a pump of vanilla was SUPER sweet, but i asked them to fixed it and they happily did so. Pleasant atmosphere… wish they had better fresh baked goods. It looked like Costco muffins. I’ll be back :)

So, they appear to be under new management/ownership. They have new signage«Coffee Corner» but the old Grindz sign is still on the side. They’ve definitely remodeled. All their pastries definitely came from the grocery store and/or Costco. The muffins & several of the packages are recognizable. Nothing wrong with that, just something to know. I like coffee shops that offer the fare of local bakeries & Santee has a couple of them. So to the coffee. I ordered my «usual» a white mocha with peppermint. I forgot to request soy milk, darnit. I can’t tell if she put peppermint in it or not. Sometimes there seems to be a hint, but most time it just tastes like 2% milk with espresso. She did put a peppermint candy on top which only served to throw me off more. It doesn’t taste like whole milk at all, as I usually drink skim I notice right away when it’s in my drink. Today it’s not there — did she give me low/nonfat?(I know I could stand to lose a few pounds… :D) There’s not any white chocolate flavor either… So, it’s not my perfect cup of latte, but it’s not as bad as previously made at this location. I’ll give it another try and make sure I order my drink right to give it a clear comparison. Meanwhile I’m going to fix the peppermint level here at home.

I spent many summers hanging out and making memories at this shop. I even worked for Grindz for 4 years when mike owned it. I loved everything about it and was so sad when it was close to closing. A local from Santee purchased the shop and his step son is running it. I really wanted it to be awesome but I like more personality with my espresso. I think the coffee is still good. But wish there was a bit more urgency when dealing with the customers. I don’t go anymore because I can’t get out of there in a Timely manner and When your always running late like me thats quite a big deal. If you don’t mind waiting and want a decent cup of coffee go support our local shop.

The drink are decent. The hours are better now that they are under new management. It’s always too quiet in there. That’s about all i have to say on this one. :)

Pretty decent selection of drinks for a fair price. A pretty relaxed atmosphere, not a bad little coffee place to head to if you’re in the area. Service is generally pretty friendly, but nothing really seems to set it out of the ordinary.
