Good place for the price. Service is good and the food is good too. Not a bar scene.

Overpriced bland seafood place that doesn’t know how to treat its customers. The wife and I decided to stop for dinner. The place is very sparse a few few photos on the mainly blank walls. It just looks sad and run down. We ordered the food. I ordered a grouper sandwich and my wife ordered a crab cake sandwich. We waited almost 25 mins for the food. Had to ask the server twice for the complementary bread and drink refills. It finally came out and they delivered my wife a fried crab plate and my grouper sandwich. The plate was literally a plate of fried crabs, shells, and all just thrown into the fryer. She of course sent the plate back and the server acted like it was her fault for the crazy order. She had even pointed to the menu when she ordered. The server avoided our table the rest of the night and I picked the small pieces of grouper out of the bland soggy sandwich and we hairstyle paid the bill and headed to a McDonalds drive where I can honestly say the food tasted better than the pricy seafood. So if your looking for a tasty place for a nice dinner avoid Barnacle Bill’s at all costs.

Just not what I expected. I’ve been in Florida for two days desiring seafood. Bad choice. Food was void of taste. I had blackened shrimp pasta and my husband had fried catfish and shrimp. My portion was ridiculously too much and his portion was just enough, he says. Needless to say, my husband tried to finish my food. I need flavor!!!

Over priced. Crab cake was a huge disappointment. They said it was a signature dish. Full of breading. Very little crab. Salad had dead lettuce. This is your basic near the airport over priced tourist trap. Stay away

Decent food but service was slow and the restaurant looks like it was last updated in 1985. It seems like the majority of their crowd is there for the blue plate specials — which are less than half the price of the rest of the menu. The place was at maybe 30% capacity and easily sat our party of 12 despite no availability at every other restaurant we called, so they get kudos for that.

The Food was pretty good nothing too special. Wasn’t horrible but for the price should have been top notch. The service was good everyone was super friendly. In BB defense we did come in 20 min before closing so im sure food would have been better if we made it jn earlier. We had the Stuffed Mushrooms– Alaskan King crab– Sirloin steak– na was super gristly Grilled grouper

The food here is amazing. We got their dinner and wine for 2 special and was amazed at how great their selection for the special was. Most places that have specials like that have tiny, crappy selections but this place had a good portion of the menu available as part of the special. Everything tasted amazing and the price was reasonable. This will definitely be our new favorite seafood restaurant

As a party of six, we had mixed results with the food we ordered here. On the plus side, the fish and chips basket, seafood pasta, shrimp pasta(one serving with red sauce and one with white sauce) were excellent … lots of seafood in all the pastas. However, the rainbow trout was dry, the Caesar salad was drenched in salad dressing, the grilled chicken served on top of the salad was tasteless, and the seafood chowder was more chowder than seafood. The service was also spotty. One of our shrimp pastas came as seafood pasta, but because our waiter came back quickly to check on us, this was fairly quickly replaced. The cole slaw for the fish and chips basket never came, but with the abundance of food, we didn’t worry about it. We ordered Key Lime pie to go, and the waitress assisting our waiter brought us small containers of whipped cream. It was pretty standard restaurant Key Lime pie … nice tart filling, but soaked graham cracker crust. It was not anywhere as good as my sister’s.

Food was very good. We shared the dinner for 2. We got a bottle of Cabernet, 2 salads, a huge 24oz bone-n ribeye, 2 pounds of crab legs, green beans, mashed potatoes, and a piece of cheese cake. All for $ 65.99. Everything was very good including the couple of craft beers we shared before the meal. I would definitely recommend giving bills a try if you haven’t had it before or try it again if it’s been awhile.

I have eaten here many times. Long time resident and have found that lately the passion is not there. Huge menu, this is part of the issue trying to be all things to everyone. The food is wholesome, but nothing out of the ordinary. Staff is like most in the area, students, wanna-be’s that haven’t figured out what they want to do when they grow up. Owner sat at bar on iPad. In the long run this is a sad place.

Most of the reviews seem to be by cheap, old people. This restaurant is great and while it’s not cheap, good seafood should not be cheap. I had the Tuna steak and the halibut. Near perfect. The crab cake is excellent. Service was good and informed. A very good restaurant.

The bread is great and fresh from the oven, but the décor is evocative of a clean but cheap diner. We ordered soft shell crab, King crab and the Halibut. All were fresh and tasty. However, for the prices they charge, you would expect more than a choice of starch or vegetable. To make matters worse, the French fries I ordered totaled maybe 8. My wife’s rice portion was also shockingly sparse. In a nutshell, expect to pay a lot for some great bread, good fresh fish and little else.

I’ve been to this fish house several times over the years and have never been overly impressed. Dinner yesterday, however, was one I’d rather forget. Two of us had the«Fresh» Halibut. It was over-cooked and dry with no seasoning or butter. Came with a dollop of dry mashed potatoes and a few chives or green onions sprinkled for garnish. Very poor dish with amateur presentation. Maybe it’s a new cook or maybe the management just doesn’t know how to offer a quality product. If you like average steak and seafood, give this one a try. If you want something actually delicious and well prepared, take your good money elsewhere. They’re trying to be upscale but fall well short. They need a real Chef and some properly trained wait staff… or maybe a new manager.

My wife and I have going here for ten years; never had a bad experience. One of our favorite lunches is to split the escargot appetizer and a grouper Reuben. She gets the slaw, I get the fries.

Had a good experience at their bar having appetizers with a friend from St. Pete and I had a bartender Criego was great to us men in the midweek afternoon. I like the nautical theme inside an out. Also, the bathrooms were clean n nice. I would go back again. Philly Rob

We all had the early bird $ 12.99 special that includes salad, entrée and desert. The menu says the crab cake is award winning or something so I figured that would be my best bet. It was good. Everyone’s entrée looked and they say tasted pretty average. The mussels linguine were served in butter instead of just garlic and oil which is odd. The wait staff was great so I’m giving them the extra star. All in all just ok not really great but hey it was $ 12.99.

My first time at this place so first thing I did was the salad bar, it is as fresh as the fish they catch every day. I love the fact that you can put fish on your salad yourself. The service has been great so far. I ordered the blackened grouper it was on special. The first taste of the group was amazing. It is a decent Wednesday afternoon so service is pretty fast if you get in before the lunch rush. There is a fish market to order fresh fish to go winning!!!
