The service and food was exceptional. This is a definite stop while on the key. You won’t be disappointed!

Came for a girls night. They were super friendly and sat us right at the time of our reservation. The food was delicious. I had a mozzarella app, delicious salmon and the key lime pie. All were great!

Bread was amazing, mozzarella appetizer, filet, veal, etc were all cooked to perfection and was a wonderful meal! Our waitress Nora was very attentive, intelligent about the specials and very nice. Our overall experience was a perfect ending to the day and we are excited to come back in the near future!

Food was amazing. Service outstanding. Wine list has something for everyone. Highly recommended if you want to visit the village but prefer a quieter place to eat.

The service was great. The waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. I had the Zuppa dI vongole(clams) and they were well seasoned but too salty. The clams were good but very small. The linguini was stuck together as if it had been sitting around for awhile. Needless to say, I was disappointed.

Expensive but worth it. Tasty food and heavy pour on the cocktail. It was still cheaper than some of the other really awful places on Siesta Key. Thanks, folks. It was a lovely evening.

The best meal we had while visiting Siesta Key, Fl. Had the Salmon with penne pasta. Delicious

This place is fantastic! Nice atmosphere, great food, and excellent service! The antipasti was divine and the gnocchi with alfredo sauce was the best I’ve have.

I hosted my sister’s rehearsal dinner at Café Gabbiano, and I couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience. We were a party of over 20 — I was able to pre-select the entire menu, and it went so smoothly for it. We had a semi-private room, two of our own servers, and the food was just what I had hoped. They were able to make changes due to dietary restrictions, right on the spot. Even though they were in the middle of a busy service on a Friday, we were still served perfectly. Thank you to Marc and the excellent serving and kitchen staff.

Excellent food and even better service. Lasagna was one of the best we’ve had. Ask for Ashley to be your waitress. And the Chef today: Venezolano! Great find in Siesta Key. 5 stars!

This restaurant use to be good. I don’t know if it’s changed owners or chefs, but it has definitely gone down hill. It wasn’t very good the last time we went, but decided to give it another try just in case it happened to be an «off» night last time. To start off with, the server didn’t tell us about the many specials for the evening. I happened to over hear it from another waiter. We had already ordered so it was too late for the specials for us. The menu stated that they had whole wheat pasta, so I ordered my Pomodoro with whole wheat. It came with penne pasta, NOT linguini like it was suppose to. I asked our server, and she said the only whole wheat pasta they had was penne. Sure would have been nice to know that! It would have changed what I ordered. Aside from that… the food was pretty much flavorless. The only good thing for the evening was the bread. The service was very slow and inattentive. Definitely not worth the price!

Great little place! The ambiance is that of an old winery. romantic and cozy. The food is fantastic and service was exceptional. I highly recommend the gnocchi with vodka sauce and the veal scallopini. I definitely will be coming again!

So many errors for a restaurant of this caliber. 1. Had to track down a server after 10 minutes being seated. Kind of wanted to leave after first red flag but stated. 2. Really short pour for an $ 11.00 glass of house wine:( 3. Took a long time for service to return for our order. Super sweet gal but obviously too many tables to handle. Ugh… 4. Wrong sauce came with gnocchi. Had to send back, twice. 5. Needed to ask for refill on water. That’s pretty bad. Just expected more from a fine dining restaurant than above mentioned but one positive to give cud dos… Chicken special was very good! Not enough positives to return. Note: Yes, the nice owner was kind enough to buy a glass of wine, which I appreciated!

I get the eggplant Parmesan, my sister gets the veal, I order the ceaser, she orders the mussels, which are a large portion. All portions are very generous and everything is well prepared. For desert I order the chocolate ice cream with hard shell. Can’t go wrong with either of these choices. We have eaten there about 5 times.

Came across this lovely restaurant while driving through Siesta Key. Enjoyed a delightful meal. Attended by very capable and attentive waitress, Nora, and busboy whose name we didn’t get — he was excellent, too. We sat in the covered/enclosed patio area which was lovely. Beautifully appointed and the ambience perfect. The food was excellent — very delicious and well presented. And No hurry. Felt relaxed which is what we needed. A most pleasant dining experience. Thank you!

This place was like a cheap Italian wedding gone bad! First impression was not good, it needed SERIOUS remodeling and nothing like the photos they posted. ‘Shabby not chic’ is the word. Then the $ 10 Bellini? I normally don’t order mixed drinks and this one told me why. It tasted like some kid made it. My partner hated his weak Martini as well. Bread was ok, the only nice thing but came out 20mins later burning hot. My entrée was seafood pasta after I saw others photos on Unilocal.Don’t like it. The sauce was ok, I had way better else where. The shrimp was dry, some mussels were stinky. My partner got beef and it was dry at ‘medium rare’. It was tasting menu so it’s cheaper than it would be. Oh the escargot, he had to send it back to cook more, and we threw bunch of salt to add flavors. Tiramisu, good but don’t tell me to go back just for that one dish. Siesta Key type of restaurant, not my type.

This place is truly special. The service is excellent and warm. The environment is rustic yet elegant. The pasta we ordered was delicious. It does appear that everything on their menu is delicious. They have vegan friendly dessert, lemon or peach sorbet. The peach sorbet is the right choice. It’s delicious and beautiful. You have to make a reservation ahead of time.

We came to Siesta for another staycation and found this restaurant with great reviews and decided to try it out. It was excellent! I never thought a place of this caliber would be located on a beach, but it certainly was worth it. There was an extremely large and loud party there, perhaps from a wedding, but we managed. :-) I chose the red wine sampler which had three 2oz pours of various house wines. The Montepulciano was my favorite. I tasted the Strawberry Basil martini but didn’t care for that as it had way too much vodka for my liking. For appetizer we had the 3 cheese sampler. The 2 that looked like mozzarella were my favorite. I had the Lobster Ravioli. Now get this: I have never tried lobster before. I am not a lobster fan, let alone a seafood lover. But I love vodka sauce, which is probably why I absolutely LOVED this dish. My second and third choices would have been the Ossobuco Ravioli or the Gnocci. I may have to come back! My boyfriend had the tortellini, which basically made my taste buds sing rejoicing hymns of praise. The little bits of ham were the secret weapon in that dish… wow! This was a great surprise and I would definitely come back here. The flavors are spot-on and this place is not overpriced. It’s priced for quality. Check it out!
