As with most restaurants on Siesta Key, this place is overpriced for the quality of food. My twenty five dollar risotto was tasty but the fifteen dollar pizzas were were light on toppings and not crispy despite the thin crust.

This Italian/brick pizza oven restaurant was amazing! We got seated immediately and our food was out in no time! We all got different dishes, and no one had a bad word to say! The pizza and pasta are excellent! The staff was amazing too!

A group of 14 of us went to Flavio’s(we had reservations). They sat us in a very tight fashion. The waiter brought waters, but then took 25 minutes to get our drink order. When we told him we had been waiting to place our drink orders, he said(with an attitude) «I have other tables, as he shrugged his shoulders. Four glasses of water emptied for ten minutes before the water guy came by to fill TWO out of the four. We thought he’d come back, but we had to call for him. He had khaki slacks on that looked like they came out of a hamper, messy blue button down shirt and his zipper was half way down. SOGROSSANDSLOPPY!!! As this all was happening to, I asked to speak to the manager. No one came… so, after we finished our meals(surprisingly, the food was very good), I went to the front to ask for the manager… OURWAITERWASTHEMANAGER! They told me the owner was on duty, so I asked to see him(he looked lime he was related to our waiter). I explained everything. He apologized to me with a nonchalant attitude. He didn’t even head to our table of 14 to apologize to the rest of the group. All of us have banned this restaurant forever! HORRIBLEHORRIBLESERVICE!!!

Our first visit to this area and this was our favorite meal. I had the lasagne… best ever and my husband had veal Parmesan. Loved it! Impeccable service and a lot of ambience. Can’t wait to go back.

Nothing negative to say means 5 stars from me. Seated quickly by a friendly host. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food came not too quickly but, at a good time. The food was tasty; I had the prosciutto and arugula pizza. It was delicious! I would go again if I were in the mood for Italian.

Service was horrible! Waited 10 minutes just to get served. Food had a plastic piece in it and it was microwaved. Will NEVER come back to this joke of an Italian restaurant again!

My friend ate here the night before and couldn’t stop raving about the food and sevice. My boyfriend and I ate here the next night. Meal was terrific– I had the special which was homemade angel hair pasta with shrimp, scallops and a half a lobster tail. My boyfriend had the eggplant dish and it was delicious also. We started with the antipasta appetizer which was fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone on siesta key as is located right in the heart of the village and the servers are very friendly. Our server’s name was Joseph — he was top notch!

Flavio’s is hands down the best restaurant in the Village. There is a private parking lot/valet parking, which makes it easily accessible to everyone. I love the Fritto Misto, the Fetuccine alla Carbonara, and every single dessert! Joseph has been our server numerous times and the service is always excellent! It’s a great spot for date night, family outings, or just a quick snack at the bar.

Great food overall and generous portions. The restaurant brags about house made pasta, but were apparently out of penned when we ordered a dish supposed to include. Got spaghetti– don’t believe was house made. Sauce was excellent. One major weekness… bread. house bread was very uneventful… and breads ticks had no flavor. Such a nice place should have awesome bread, but did not. Good service.

great food in a very convenient location. Unexpected high quality in a sea of overpriced touristy crap in the village. Casual atmosphere and delicious house made pastas and sauces. Excellent specials and drinks as well! Extremely friendly staff and great service

One of the best and unique pizzas I have tasted in all my years! The very first time I dined at Flavio’s I was in awe reading their menu. I couldn’t believe the gourmet pizzas they offered. I mean the QUATTROSTAGIONI Pizza! Full of great taste a garden on a pizza if you will, loaded with fresh tomato, mozzarella, artichoke, olives, mushrooms and ham! How about my favorite, the Prosciutto Pizza, good God! Fresh thin sliced Imported Prosciutto d’ Parma on top of gooey mozzarella cheese and fresh tomatoes! You must check out the rest of the menu, a full service restaurant from antipasti to the lasagna! For your first date I would suggest to dine inside! The lighting and décor is very romantic. But if you are there with just friends and family find a spot either outside to people watch or the other-side of the restaurant where the bar is located, fun and great antique décor for a small party or hanging out! The bar itself is a little small but reasonable. The waiters where very accommodating and friendly!

We had two types of pizza regular crust pepperoni and gluten free four cheese both were great! The risotto also topped the charts. I had the brie stuffed filet with mushroom marsala and veggies. The sauce was great and the steak was ok. All and all a place to return to! The wine the waiter recommended paired very well. Would recommend if you are in the area to stop in!

This restaurant has the most bland boring food I’ve ever paid for. Your Midwest mom makes more creative food. We ordered 3 pizzas, one was burnt, one was under cooked, and one was fine. The pizzas are so lame. The menu makes them seem interesting, but they are one topping tiny pizzas with no redeeming qualities. Salads are tasteless, even when drenched in the bad dressings. Stay away from the rotten fish Caesar. Gets two stars instead of one because the clam linguine actually was pretty good. Restaurant lacks creativity, great for elderly tourists.

Came here with a group of four with no reservation on a Friday night. We were seated immediately when the owner saw we were a family with a young child. Service is extremely professional, courteous, and prompt. The food is fantastic — we all split an antipasto plate(menu states for two, but the five of us weren’t able to finish it off completely), I opted for the gnocchi ala vodka, and we also ordered some pizzas. Everything was fresh, tasty, and obviously made fresh from scratch. We had a blast, from my 3 year old son to his great-grandparents…definitely a must when visiting Siesta Key.

We were across the street at SKOB and noticed Flavio’s so we looked it up on Unilocal and that other site… yeah there were some bad reviews but there were a ton of great ones too so we decided to check it out and take a break from all of the seafood. We were seated promptly at a table on the bar side. Some reviews stated that the seats were too close but they’ve obviously not eaten anywhere in NYC haha. Our table was perfectly fine. The décor was unique and refreshing. Definitely gave the place its own unique vibe. The service was outstanding!!! Super friendly and perfectly timed. Was to the point were you could relax your way through a meal and know that you were being taken care of without feeling that you were being watched every second. Truly perfect! As for the food… we started with salads… the caprese was fresh and spot on. the Cesar was tasty and with a great dressing. As for the main course, we both went with the lasagna alla Bolognese. The pasta is actually homemade and the bolognese sauce was amazing! Rivals any true Italian bolognese sauce that takes all day to simmer and perfect. Seriously. Any NYC restaurant would be glad to serve a sauce as great as this was! Drink wise we went for a bottle of wine(Super Tuscan) and loved it! Seemed like most of the wines were very reasonably priced. Overall this was a fantastic choice for dinner! Fresh homemade pastas, excellent service and cozy environment all added up to a GREAT night! Can’t wait to go back and try some of the pizzas and other fresh pasta entrees.
