Just moved in from Pittsburgh and it was time for me to get a haircut. We were in the area and I saw good reviews about this place. So I decided to give it a try. My barber was Matt. Matt took his time with the haircut and it came out great! In Pittsburgh, over the last 10 years, I couldn’t find anybody that would use the razor and take their time to make sure the cut was just right. Matt exceeded my expectations and I will be back. The complimentary drinks added an unexpected and awesome touch. Definitely visit this place!

I feel as though I got swindled into going to this barber shop by Jim. This is what happened: Jim took the phone number of Dave’s Barber Shop. I called Dave’s and Jim answered stating that he was the replacement for Dave’s after they closed and that I should go to his new shop, «Classic Barbers» anyway, I went in there and Jim was rubbing up against me and told me about how everyone that used to work at Dave’s was good for nothing. It was a frightening experience and this man is a fraud and liar. In support of the barber shop community Jim is against everything that is good about a barber shop experience.

Have been looking a good barber in Sarasota/​Bradenton area for years. I didn’t just find a good one but a great one in Jim at Classic Barbers in Sarasota. Right off US 41 on Bay Rd (Bee Ridge Road West) easy to get to. Jim was friendly, professional and gave me a cut that I wanted to try for a couple of years. He also trimmed my beard to a T so I’m very happy and all for $ 16.00.
He took his time and had attention to detail, right down to a straight edge shave on my back neck.

Jim does excellent work. He is thorough and it shows in his work.
He stays up on the current cuts and products, and while the shop is modeled after a classic barbershop look, he caters to the modern male.
Highly recommended.
