First time here and very impressed with the great waiter who was attentive but not overbearing. My sister had the shrimp chimichanga which was beautifully presented and delicious. She had enough remaining to take home. My husband had the stone crabs which we felt were overpriced at $ 23 for just two. I had the shrimp roll with really plump shrimp. French fries were crispy but not greasy. We are used to Washington, DC metro eateries so we’re missing other types of fish on the menu.

We went to lunch with friends and really enjoyed our time. Our waiter was great, he went out of his way to take care of our dinner guests special dietary needs. Our food was good, the seafood was fresh and prepared perfectly. I am not a seafood lover so I enjoyed the angus burger and seasonal veggies as a side. Hubs & one of our guests each had the shrimp chimichanga. They said it was amazing and would def order it again! Our other friend has serous food allergies so the chef went out of his way to make a delicious mahi and shrimp plate w/veggies and she loved it. They made her food look pretty and very appetizing.(She doesn’t always get that treatment at restaurants.)

Three for dinner including appetizers was very well done. Portion sizes were large, seafood cooked perfectly, meat was tasty and tender. Cocktails prepared expertly although a bit slow to arrive at the table.

First time in Sarasota. Crab & Fin came highly recommended. The atmosphere was very relaxing and pleasant. Food was that of a 5* in a big city. Our server was one of the best very competent of the menu and local selections. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

This place is wonderful! Six of us dined here for lunch and every meal was delicious. The service was great and the wait staff was very attentive. They sat us very quickly and worked for a while to get the heater working since it was quite a chilly day. Our waiter was so friendly and even brought us pineapple slices covered in chocolate for free. If we’re ever back here, we’ll be sure to return!(p.s., the crab cake sandwich was delicious!!)

My husband and I went for my birthday on a Sunday afternoon. We sat outside and listened to the piano player while under a fan and got to watch the people of St. Armand’s stroll by. The service was top notch, our server was as nice and responsive as humanly possible. We had the oysters and stone crab. All was delicious. The octopus salad was enormous! As an appetizer we could not even finish it. My husband also had the clam chowder which he really enjoyed. Would for sure recommend this place to anyone. Their lunch menu has a big variety of items like fish tacos and chimichangas. We were there for shell fish, but I have also had their fish and its always been great. Also, for lunch their prices are not so high, especially considering the area.

This place has an uninspiring menu. The atmosphere and service is impeccable. I had lobster and it was dry and chewy and a small portion. Husband had grouper and said it was ok. The sides that came with the meal were an awful pairing; and the chef was being lazy. We all had roasted red potatoes and mushy zucchini squash. The plate looked pitiful, especially that combo with my lobster. Outdoor dining on Armand Circle is nice.

We got to St. Armand’s Circle at prime time on a Saturday night and were able to grab two seats at the bar. The Crab and Fin clearly catered to an upscale crowd but we found the bartenders/servers unpretentious and really a lot of fun! We started with the oyster sampler and the escargot and I’d recommend both. The escargot was prepared in a puff pastry and was so good. I ordered red snapper and was delighted; my friend ordered the crab cakes and called it a religious experience. Moscow Mules were made extremely well and the employees kept it brisk, light and full of laughter even though they were busy. Try this lovely place and prepare for a great dining experience!

While planning our trip to Sarasota, we looked at a few restaurants in St. Armands circle and thought they were probably the typical overpriced yet standard seafood dinners you’d find at mildly upscale beach town. We were pleasantly surprised with Crab and Fin. We had the seafood trio appetizer, Alligator, Caesar salad with shrimp and scallop shrimp fettuccine. The Alligator was hands down the best part of our meal and we would return just to order it. Unique steak like cut of an Alligator tail pan friend over a bacon ramaloude and spicy grit sauce. Getting hungry just thinking about it again… We might have to go back today.

I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Food is amazing and the service is top notch! This is one of the few, if not only, restaurants that offers the locally farmed Mote Marine Caviar. It is delicious and cannot be beat for the price.

I really can’t comment on the food quality, although my guests and I walked in, asked to be seated and the host abruptly said to me(in a raised voice): «If you don’t have reservations, then you need either step aside or walk outside and wait.» Based on his rude, uninviting tone of voice, we left and went elsewhere. Crab & Fin needs an attitude adjustment.

Print their menu 2x a day. Fresh food! Came here for dinner on our 4th night in Lido Key. Sat upstairs. White linen table cloths and napkins! Kinda fancy. We were def under dressed but didn’t feel like we were out of place. Alligator bites & raw oyster medley for apps. Yum! Lamb chops, swordfish, steak and coconut chicken ordered. Everyone was happy. I’m gluten and dairy intolerant. Chef and waiter were attentive and accommodating. Loved the chocolate dipped pineapple after our meal. Prices were better than the Lido Beach Grill but def on the higher side. Nice to know we can come earlier for lower prices. We will be back. It was our best experience/meal over all so far.

What a delightful lunch we had here today! The perfect choice for a seafood meal while tooling around St Armand’s Circle. This place was once a Muer restaurant(of which there are several in FL, but you’re probably more familiar with them if you’re from the north; Charley’s Crab, the River Crab, The Gandy Dancer and more). It’s not anymore but they’ve kept some of the same elements, like the perfect little poppyseed rolls and even the crab logo on the side of the building. We each had something different, and everyone was beyond satisfied. My tile fish and shrimp on grits with a spicy sauce was superb; the firm, mild tile fish and shrimp were both kissed with the pleasantly charred taste of the grill. Apple slaw in a lettuce cup as a side was okay, but I wouldn’t rush back for that. My dad had a shrimp roll(like a lobster roll, but with shrimp!) and my mother had shrimp chimichangas. We spent the entire meal saying, «This is soooo good!» We were too full for dessert but you are provided with a couple of small chocolate-dipped pineapple wedges which was the perfect little finish. Our waiter, Steve, was very friendly and attentive to our needs and questions. Really great service. The only issue is the tiny bathroom! Women piled up in the very small space waiting since there are only two stalls. Overall, I would most assuredly return to Crab and Fin on another trip to St. Armand’s Circle!
