Fabulous dinner! We all enjoyed a nice variety of drinks & meals. Don’t miss this place-​will definitely return!

Had the shrimp and crab stuffed mahi mahi. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great! Very attentive staff. However, my food was cold, I had to send my black beans back twice because they were so cold. I have to reiterate how great our server was. Can’t say enough good things about her but I will not be returning.

Delicious! I read some of the reviews before going to this restaurant and I was very happy I chose it.
We ordered the jerk chicken, the tuna, the filet mignon, and the shrimp ceviche. They were all delicious.
Even the Mac and cheese from the kids menu was delicious!
If we ever go back to the area, this would be a restaurant I would eat again.

Surf Shack offers delicious $ 4 taco options and $ 5 – 7 premium tacos. My husband and I tried 4 different types and all were delicious. Great atmosphere, able to eat outside and people watch. Looking for great food at great price this is definitely the best option that we found in the area.

Great location. The $ 4 tacos are really good and the drinks are half off at happy hour! The margaritas and piña coladas are super good ($ 4 and $ 5 respectively during happy hour). Bang shrimp and blackened mahi were the best tacos. I expected small tacos, but they are full sized and almost too stuffed to eat them.

Fusion: everything here is superb! This is the second I’ve been here and SO worth it. The tacos are amazing of course, but the guacamole burger also really hits the spot. Ceviche is great, tuna wontons, and lobster bites are a must. If you are unsure where to eat, definitely eat here.

This was a great find for lunch at St Armands Circle. You can sit indoors or out on the patio. This place is known for their tacos, but neither my husband nor I had tacos, and yet we enjoyed our food immensely.
They brought out complimentary salt and peppered popcorn while we waited for our food. At first I thought that was kind of different and weird, but it was tasty and perfect to snack on while we waited for our meal.
I had a chicken wrap and fries which were both amazing… Honestly some of the best fries I’ve ever had. My husband had a burger and fires and he would say the same thing. They even customized my order and made the chicken crispy instead of grilled and had my avocado on the side. Yum!

This was by far our favorite taco place. My husband and I loved the atmosphere and food. The staff was very good all around great experience. The tacos were very fresh. Highly recommend the jerk chicken taco, shrimp ceviche and Mahi Mahi. The gumbo is also very good. This was out first time trying surf shack and can’t wait to go back. We are regulars at St. Armand’s circle

This is the best restaurant ever !! They have amazing tacos and so much more. I haven’t had one item on the menu that I didn’t like. Great staff too !!!

After taking a few minutes to look over the menu that was hanging outside my boyfriend I decided to go in and try this place out.
The menu looked pretty good we started with an appetizer we had the nachos have to say not the best nachos they were very soupy and watery the chips got too soggy from all the cheese that was watered-​down it seems like.
We then both ordered two tacos off the back of the menu the four dollar ones they were OK not too much flavor in them. Good size tho!
But what I did notice and I didn’t like while we were sitting there I watched as our waitress was behind the bar consolidating bottles. For anyone who doesn’t know that is illegal. Sorry to say we will not return.

The seating is tight outside but worth it. The inside is to dark for me but would be a welcome break from the hot sun if needed. The four and five dollar tacos are excellent. There are fairly large and two filled me up just right and I like to eat. Yes I could eat three but there are so many places to sample in the area that you must moderate :) If tacos aren’t you’re thing there’s a full menu and plenty of beer and drink choices.

The list of taco selections was really good. The best was the the Crab Louie. The service was fast but not rushed. Very relaxed.

We sat upstairs and enjoyed our time here. What lured us in was the 4 dollar tacos and they did not disappoint.
My husband got the surf and turf taco, Mahi and another seafood one. They do have a veggie option for the tacos which sounded interesting (Thai peanut). They were all great size (not typical small street tacos) and had a good amount of meat in them.
I had the taco salad which I wish had more salad and less chips but it was a blend between nachos and a salad. Regardless it was pretty delicious. It was 10 bucks.
The menu was varied and had a lot of options. The food was fresh and good. Service was great. The ambiance was a festive vacationing feel. I hear they have happy hour too and would definitely recommend checking this place out!

We had dinner here. The atmosphere was good and relaxed at 6pm. The loaded queso was great. They passed out bacon flavored popcorn while we were there. We had the Mongolian skillet. It wasn’t as flavorful as I expected but it was still good.

Great place — we went for lunch just before New Year and were seated immediately. Friendly service, good drinks, cool laid-​back atmosphere and décor, really great upstairs terrace, but the WINNER is the shrimp burger — WOW! it’s an absolute must-​try — creative and scrumptious.

We came across this establishment Sunday evening. After reviewing the cocktail menu and same the advert for $ 4 for cocktails before 6pm. So we decided to have a quick drink.
The drinks were really really good. So we decided to try our luck with the menu. We also saw on the menu $ 4 tacos. We decided to have tacos. I had the jerk chicken. My spouse had some type of fish taco. Well to our surprise and bewilderment you GET ONLY 1 TACO FOR $ 4.
That is highway robbery. The menu did not indicate only 1 taco nor did we asked. We just assumed. The taco not tacos are not oversized or double wrapped. Just a standard small taco for $ 4.
What we learned going forward is to asked questions. Regarding this establishment we won’t go back. The taco was average at best.

Service is excellent! Although it’s not busy, still a great day! Ana our waitress and she is adorable! We ordered Chicken Egg Roll, very tasty!!! Company is always the best, me and my baby Jeff! I ordered the Ahi Tuna Noodle salad, it’s beautiful! and taste even better. Margaritas are tasty but I think a top shelf is for the asking!

Food is great but a couple of tips for mgmt here:
1. When you serve food also deliver plates… There’s nothing more frustrating than 6 people looking at a great appetizer with no way to eat it! Happened to us multiple times
2. Deliver drinks within 10 minutes of ordering them… Spend the 8 $/​hr and hire that extra bartender during busy hours. The bar is like a mirage in this place.
3. Keep the menus consistent. U cant order pub menu upstairs. Tacos are the best. Why cant i eat them with a view?
4. Music. Piano upstairs and rock down. When u sit outside its a loud mess. Pick one.

The Jerked Chicken Taco unexpectedly sent my tastebud dancing. It was so delicious. It couldn’t have been season any better. I want the recipe!!! Perfect balance of saltiness and spice from the jerk marinated chicken. The sweet plantains added a hint of sweetness in the taco. What? Sweet Plantains in a taco? Reading this taco’s description and it’s ingredients on the menu almost put me off. Glad I took a chance.
My companion ordered the Tiger Shrimp and the Bangin Shrimp Taco in a lettuce wrap. Any of their tacos can be made into a lettuce wrap. There was nothing «bangin» about either wraps. They were both just ok and somewhat bland. He also order the Orange Chicken Skillet. He enjoyed it.
Service was great. Our server was so busy, she didn’t even see us until we already finished placing our order. But it was refreshing to see wonderful team work from all the wait staff without having to flag anyone down.
A picture of the Ahi Tuna Nacho Appetizer on this was the lure that brought me here (Thank you Unilocal for not disappointing). But it isn’t the reason why I would come back. I’ve had much better. However, thanks to the yummilicious Jerk Chicken Taco, I WILL be back!!!
