Some really nice art but there doesn’t seem to be one direction, just an ocean theme. There’s all different mediums and artistic styles. We walked in drawn by a table and spent some time perusing.
Just like everyone else said, high pressure sales. Don’t drop the «this would make a great gift for family members» line right after my parents ask how a sculpture was made… it’s really just unnecessary.

They have some really nice pieces here, however, it’s a high pressure sales kind of atmosphere. Ginger was annoying.

Great gallery — something for everyone’s taste. My husband and I were greeted by Ashton and treated to a very informative introduction to the many different artists represented here. Comfortable and enjoyable experience and we learned that the gallery provides very reasonable terms (same as cash) so we could afford the piece we fell in love with. Highly recommend the gallery and Ashton as well.

Wyland art gallery is located in Sarasota at st Armand’s circle. It’s a few doors down from Kilwins.
The art is mostly of marine life and seascapes. The paintings come to life with the use of strategic lighting. Positively illuminating! The sun and moon look as if you are staring up at the sky. There are several rooms set up with dimmer switches so you can appreciate how the paintings come to life with light.
There are beautiful glass sculptures of dolphins and other sea life as well as several glass top unique tables.
An artist was painting when I went in, but my peeps were in a hurry so I didn’t get to find out which artist it was. For all I know, it could have been Wyland. Snapped a quick picture but didn’t want to rudely interrupt as he was speaking to some onlookers.
No prices on art work but it’s probably a case of, if you gotta ask, you probably can’t afford it.

I am visiting Sarasota for a business trip and walked by this art gallery and decided to go in. When I went in I was greeted and left alone until I inquired about a piece of art and was treated very well. Robert the art consultant who helped me was very nice and very professional when I bought the piece of artwork he treated me like his best friend and made the transaction very smooth. I recommend this place to buy your art work
