First Watch

This was one of my favourite breakfast brunch locations. This place is dog friendly with seating outside facing a lake. It was well shaded and comfortable. They provided water for the dogs the food was great and I can’t forget to mention the amazing waffles. I am coming back for sure. Thanks for a great meal

This place is absolutely amazing!
I came here for brunch and it was one of the best brunch places I’ve ever been.
It is a very busy place so we had to wait 30 min, but the wait was 100% worth it.
I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, amazing doesn’t even begin to explain how tasty this meal was. Two fluffy huge pancakes, the batter had the ricotta mixed in. Topped with lemon custard and strawberries. Just unreal.
The service was so friendly, our waitress was so sweet and kind.
I highly recommend this place, I can’t wait to come back here next time I’m in town.

Oh, how beautiful this place was! I’ve been to at least 3 other locations and this was my favorite. I have always had a warm place in my heart for First Watch, because it was my dad’s favorite spot. Breakfast joints were his thing, so you can trust that his choice says a lot.
This location was big and bright, without being impersonal. The crowd was older, but nonetheless, very friendly. This part of town in general, is that way. The downtown Sarasota location is great –always has been– but I think I would actually go out of my way to visit this one instead.

Death by renovation.
This was a favorite of mine. Friendly, comfortable seating, outdoor area, decent food.
And then… renovations started months ago and have never been completed.
Worse, when they are completed this will be a very unpleasant restaurant.
The new layout appears to double the number of seats, so it is crowded. The new chairs are uncomfortably hard. The surfaces of their new «barn-​look» décor are also hard so the noise level is now high; even the waitresses complain.
In a competitive breakfast market like Sarasota, these moves are suicidal.

I already gave this place a stellar review in the past. As always, the staff is incredible and remembers their customers. I just wanted to mention that they are going through a fantastic renovation. I highly suggest going in and enjoying the updated atmosphere! Of course, the food is always perfect.

Very nice breakfast spot in Sarasota. Best thing on menu is the chickichanga. They have standard breakfast fare and excellent fruit bowls. Coffee great, service always great! I have not tried the weekend brunch yet but I will!

My favorite breakfast spot in town!!! You can eat a full meal here and leave feeling satisfied and not like you just ate too much. I love the trifecta with a banana granola multi grain pancake. Add chocolate chips for an extra tasty treat! Yum

Filling. Not bad nor healthy. At least I won’t go postal. Sourcing food down here can be a full-​time job, but the skies and birds are right out of Eden.

Loved the Day Glo Juice. Had a nice healthier menu, Delish egg white omlet! Fresh, simple breakfast. Great service. Tucked away in a strip mall, ample parking. Large dining area, service at the table, pay at the counter.

Love first watch!!! Their Bacado omelette is sooooooo delicious and their energy bowl too! Their fruit is fresh and the coffee is perfect!

Still love this place! It gets busy on the weekends, but the online app saves a lot of time! I NEED the recipe for the Dayglow juice!!!

Good service and very decent brunch, especially for Sarasota. However nothing was super unique or flavorful. I did like that they provide coffee for you to drink while waiting. Would eat there again given the local brunch scene.

We love First Watch were ever we go but this location has a great dining space overlooking a lake through French doors with dining out side.

Great call ahead take away service for breakfast at home w NYTimes.

Service is upbeat and friendly. The food is always consistent. My omelet was fantastic. The prices are reasonable. The only downside was the manager had a toothpick in his mouth when we walked in the door. Really?

Great food and fun and friendly servers. Classy manager greeted us with a toothpick in his mouth hence the loss of a star. Our giggley server is fun and attentive. In season there can be very long wait times up to an hour so from December thru April if you are hungry have a snack before coming in.

We loved this location! We regularly visited the Main Street downtown location when we were Sarasota residents and found that it was a little less enjoyable each time we went. This newer location down south was so nice. Plenty of space and we enjoyed the big paintings on the walls. It was a rainy morning, so we didn’t sit outside but it seemed it would be a great place to sit on a beautiful day. The food was all very good. I ordered the parm hash and the new iced coffee. So delicious and great tasting coffee! Usually ordering iced coffee from a non coffee shop is a mistake because it’s so weak and overly sweet, but this was different. Strong, a little creamy with just the right amount of sweetness! Our 4 yr old son loved the chocolate chip pancake. When they put it on the table he screamed, «that is the biggest pancake I ever saw»! lol I don’t remember what my husband ordered, but he enjoyed a grilled blueberry muffin after his meal, as always. :-) Thank you for a lovely breakfast on our last day in town!

Outdoor dog friendly dining. WAIT, wait, wait whenever you go. However, the service is fast and efficient. The food is consistently delicious. Reasonable pricing options on both breakfast or lunch. No dinner.

Where to go to brunch?
Killer pancakes omelets yum.
It’s def worth a try.
This place has a fantastic breakfast/​brunch menu. There’s outdoor seating. Lots of windows and lights. Very pleasant service and atmosphere. The menu has a variety of options ranging from the usual breakfasty things to more interesting options (quinoa breakfast bowl). Also, just say no to fake syrup. I’ll be here again on the next visit.
