I really enjoyed the French toast, mango mimosa and especially the mango butter! The service was quick and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for good and affordable food! Visit this location or the one on tamiami trail they are both excellent!

This is a great spot for breakfast! We were impressed with everything we had. My husband especially loved their corn beef hash. My Denver omelet was one of the best I’ve had. We were there at 9 on a Sunday and there was no wait. Service was quick and efficient. We would definitely go back next time we’re in town!

Located off Midnight Pass a bit south of the Stickney Point bridge, this diner is located in a small plaza on the south part of Siesta Key. We decided to go here because we were looking for a place for breakfast and wanted to avoid the village as we suspected the breakfast places would be packed on a Sunday morning. We were pretty pleased with our decision as we walked in and got a seat right away. I ordered the Breakfast Banana Split which was yogurt with granola and assorted fruit(plus a side of toast). It was really good, not to mention one of the«healthy» options on the menu. I would happily return here again if I’m looking for breakfast on Siesta Key and would quite possibly order this same dish again.

This is a small mom and pop set up in a shopping center with a pizza place, rental company, etc. A lot of locals and elderly people come here. Their prices range from $ 9 – 12 and are decent portions. It’s pretty small and can fit probably 50 people so if you have a party of more than 6, you may want to go elsewhere. They have a wraparound bar to eat at which is good if you are alone. The rest are small tables with four chairs and I believe there is one booth. The breakfast special is like 8 or 9 bucks and you get French toast or pancakes, bacon, home fries and eggs. French toast was good, bacon was perfectly crisp while the eggs and home fries were cooked well but had no seasoning. The art on the walls is pictures someone took blown up. Basic restaurant feel with no frills. Decent food and okay price but when I’m on vacation I prefer an ambience, some outdoor seating and personality so I wouldn’t say this place is bad but I could eat at a place like this at home.

I had the oatmeal which was good with nuts & fresh fruit although I had to hunt down my whole milk. Carmella had the eggs Benedict which was good but the Canadian bacon was too hammy??? Good food, good service, no wait– hard to beat on a Sunday morning.

Visited the Toasted Mango Café while spending a weekend in Siesta Key. We had a lazy morning and became hungry very quickly. Most of the breakfast/brunch restaurants on the Key had long waits. This place is not located on the main strip but still on the key thus a short drive from anywhere if you are staying on the key. We walked in and were seated immediately. Our orders were taken and food served timely. Great experience as we were all starving! The food was petty good and they also have a bunch of healthy smoothies they make fresh in a Vitamix.

We tried toasted mango, and we are pleased. I got toasted mango waffle, and it’s definitely worth the money. Mango butter is good. My lovely husband had a blackened chicken sandwich, and it has a good kick. We got the mango madness smoothie, and we really enjoyed it!

My husband ordered the Lemon Crunch cake which was ultimately pancakes overloaded with large pieces of nuts, lemon sauce was great but the nuts killed it, couldn’t eat ½ because of them– however I would order again without the nuts. I order French toast which was good but not extraordinary. We both ordered a side of bacon, the bacon was either old, cheap or beef, had a funky taste didn’t even eat it. Coffee was stale, weak. The waitress never gave her name nor did she ask about our breakfast and there is no doubt that she saw the uneaten food and for 28 $ I would totally of expected more, or be asked how it was –tomorrow going to McDonald’s where I know what to expect for under 10 $ and get a decent cup of Joe.

There is a cozy, neighborhood feeling to this restaurant. Our service was good, and our food arrived in a timely manner. The coffee was ok as well. We ordered the Three Cheese Omelet with sausage patties, seasonal fruit, red potatoes, and homemade biscuit with mango butter. Because I didn’t like the butter, the biscuit was completely dry and flavorless on its own. The fruit and potatoes were fine, but not special. The omelet and sausage, however, were underwhelming. The sausage patties did not seem to be of good quality. The flavor was flat and boring. As for the omelet, I didn’t get much of an egg flavor because the cheese took over. I don’t think cheddar, jack, and swiss go together here. They just cool down quickly and make big clumps of cheese. A creamier cheese would help. Also, this is just eggs and cheese. I was expecting a little more flavor. We also got the Special. It’s a nice little breakfast, but it’s nothing you couldn’t make for yourself at home. Overall, we found the food ok but lacking in flavor and creativity. We may try something besides breakfast next time.

This place is awesome! Visiting Siesta Key for the first time and this place was right across from where we are staying so we decided to walk over. So glad we did! Food was amazing, mimosas were on point, and the service was fantastic. Will definitely be coming back!

This experience was a real disappointment. My husband and I just left after waiting more than 35 minutes for our food. We understand that this location is new(we have been going to the location in North Tamiami for the past 3 years) but the service was bad. We knew we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated, but nobody informed us that it was going to take more than 30 minutes to get the food! And worst of all, a table of 5 people that was seated after us got their food before us! Our waitress was nowhere to be found and we had to ask twice to a very nice young man an update on our order(that unfortunately never arrived). At least at the other location in Tamiami they inform you that the restaurant is busy and that it’s going to be 30 minutes waiting, but here nothing!!! And just when we decided to leave(because we had a commitment in less than 40 minutes) the waitress arrived with our food. We informed her that unfortunately we had to leave because we were in a rush and that we have been waiting for more than 35 minutes, and the waitress seemed to be mad at us! Saying that now our food was there and that there’s nothing they could have done because they are a busy restaurant! I was in the restaurant business in the past and I am always very understanding, but the lack of communication and the waitress attitude were not acceptable. Bottom line, I will definitely not come back to this location and I rather drive 30 minutes extra and go to the one in Tamiami.

We ate breakfast here every day during our 6-day stay at the Tropical Beach Resorts across the street(since the resort had no restaurant). I ordered a different thing every day, and all was very good. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. The only thing that could have been improved was if they’d had fancier coffee(cappuccino, etc.).

Food was very good. Menu had a large range of choices. I had a «banana split» parfait, which was delicious as well as creative. Has a parking lot! Every thing came with a mango slice, which I loved. Staff was professional and managed the line well.

What a wonderful breakfast or lunch restaurant. It’s very clean, fast, efficient service & the food is top shelf! We are there multiple times, enjoying waffles cooked to perfection, BLT«s with avocado & they have specialty shakes, for the health-conscience folks. A must to go! We found it on Unilocal !

Best fruit waffles– fresh strawberries, blueberries and banana on top of a golden light waffle. Or the mango waffle with fresh juicy sliced pieces of mangos and a generous sprinkling of toasted coconuts makes for the perfect blend of sweet and nutritious. There are also an array of lunch sandwiches but for me the breakfast rules. Great new spot for this South Siesta Key breakfast and lunch café. Plenty of parking too.
