Me and my husband came for a short scape/honeymoon and we falled in love with Lido Islander! The place is a hidden beautiful hotel with a lot of personality! Very beachy and relaxed! Great location and made our vacation a great ecperience! Definitely coming back and recomending it! Thanks Dan!

We took a chance on this place and me and my wife were very pleased. We had the studio so it was small, but all we needed was a place to crash and shower. We only stayed one night. If we had to stay here for multiple nights, then it would have been uncomfortable, but we could manage for just a night. We loved the location, walking distance to Armand Circle and Lido beach. I thought the room was clean and the neighborhood was very safe. So we weren’t worried about theft or vandalism at all. If you’re the type of person that complains about any little thing, then don’t book here. They don’t have staff on the property 24⁄7. Also if you like big rooms and bathrooms, then don’t book the studio. I don’t know how the other rooms are, but the studio is very small.

Loved our stay here! The room was very clean and the building had any improvements that are not reflected in the pictures including super cute hurricane shutters. We will definitely be back.

Staying at the Lido Islander Inn was a genuine treat. I felt like I had my own studio apartment in this swanky neighborhood beachside community. The self check in at night was quick and easy. The bed was comfy, the room very clean, quiet and well appointed. Only 2 little things that I would have enjoyed having– some sturdy, even plastic hangers and a hot pot for boiling tea water. It was an easy, safe and very pleasant walk to shops and restaurants at St. Armand’s Circle and the lovely white sand beach. It always is a major perk to leave the car in its parking spot after a day of travel. The very thorough notebook of dining, shopping and sightseeing ideas provided by the hosts was very appreciated. May I suggest that the cleaning person knock on the door with an intro before trying to unlock the door. All in all, such a great alternative to a hotel stay or a B and B. This will be a good fit for you, if you are independent and don’t expect resort amenities or B and B intimacy and coddling.

We really loved our stay his here. The location is excellent. The apartment was very clean. We stayed in the one bedroom place on the first floor. The apt is very spacious. There is a 4 person dinning area which is attached to the living room. There is a kitchen as well. It was nice to have wine glasses to enjoy our drinks. The bedroom was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The best part is this place is just a few blocks from St. Armands Circle. We loved being able to walk there and not having to drive. The Ritz Carlton beach bar was also just a few blocks away. The Lido beach is also just a few blocks in the other direction. We really loved the restaurants close to here. We could not ask for much more. Some of the restaurants we enjoyed were the Columbia Restaurant, The Old Salty Dog which a 3 — 4 min drive away, and the Mango Café which was also a 5 min drive away. We also ate breakfast and got drinks at various other places at the circle. We also went to the Moet aquarium which was 4 mins away from the apt. The location is key. We hope to be back in 2014.

Things I liked. * The location. Close the St. Armand’s circle, Lido beach, long boat key, south Lido beach(which is awesome in itself), and even downtown Sarasota. * Large rooms, including suite options which is essential when visiting with kids. * The price. We booked a two bedroom suite and they layout was perfect. * Atmosphere, we could bring our friends back to the room, put the kids to bed and hang out without issue. * WIFI — it worked, we had no issues. * The kitchen. It was a full kitchen that we could feed our kids from as well as keep our beer cold. Things that sucked * The floor was DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY. If you walked around barefoot(or crawled around like our kids) you would have black feet(or hands or both) in just a few seconds. It was pretty gross. * Smoking. It’s a nonsmoking hotel, which suites us since we don’t smoke. But, the other guests simply walk outside their door to smoke and that caries into the rooms. Again, gross. * Parking. Not too bad, but a little tight. * Hotel supply’s All and all, I would stay here again. There are simply not a lot of hotel suite options on the key. The location trumps all.

0 stars. Absolutely horrible. What you get is less than motel quality and service but at $ 105 a night! First of all, there is NOONE at this«hotel» and I mean NOONE to check anybody in and no one to check anybody out at all. So safety is a HUGE concern and a liability risk. The check-in process is the most ridiculous thing in the world. You look for an envelope with your name on it, with a letter saying your room number and that your keys are inside the unlocked room. It also says you can call them or text them 24⁄7 but yet and I called this place 4 times after 10 pm and no one ever answered. So to summarize, anybody can have access to your room, make ten copies of the keys, rob you while you are sleeping or worse. In the mean time, no one is there to keep an eye on things. If you can even sleep because the walls are so absurdly thin you will hear your neighbor sneeze. When we talked to the manager the first time and told them we were very unsatisfied with the room and overall hotel and did not want to stay there anymore, Dan said there was nothing he could do about it and told us he would meet us at 9:00 am. 9:20 am rolls around and a text come saying a «staff» member will upgrade our room to a suite. First of all, shouldn’t we had gotten this upgrade the night of, and secondly, really??? Your entire«hotel» and complete absence are the issues not just the room. The fridge was horribly dirty, sheets unclean and the bathroom window is busted on top of everything else. STAYAWAY. You are WAY better off at a Motel 6, at least there is someone at the front desk all day, you will have actual room service and the room condition will be equal if not better. Plus you will be at least $ 60 a night richer for it.

SKIPTHISPLACE! We rented the studio & it appeared to be they converted the office into a living space. PATHETIC, thin-thin walls, no staff to be found whatsoever and it was such a small room I was claustraphobic the entire stay, almost ruined my vacation. DONOTSTAYHERE

A little gem of a place, in a great location. A short walk the beach and shops and restaurants, what else could you ask for. The prices are very reasonable considering the area and the rooms are clean and updated. Some of the rooms are suites, like an apartment with full kitchens(worth the extra money for the extra space).
