After the reviews we read online we were pretty scared we had made a big mistake making a reservation here. We expected a dirty room and bad service. That is not what we received.
We called ahead to make sure everything was ready and management was very nice.
When we arrived, we finally understood the «efficiency» and 1 bedroom designations. This is less a motel and more a short term apartment place. That said, this meant that there were some huge differences between here and a standard motel room:
There is not daily maid service (which I prefer) unless you pay an extra fee which also means normal bed linens which I had no problem with.
The space is easily double that of a hotel room (our efficiency had a bedroom/​living room, walk through closet with full bath including tub and an eat in kitchen. Not a kitchenette. A kitchen).
The furnishings were not modern or upscale (frankly they were at least 20yrs old) but the bed and couch were comfy and having a dining table was a huge plus for us.
I never had to worry about fitting my take out leftovers in a tiny fridge (that drives me nuts). We had a full sized fridge (even if it was quite old). We even went 2 miles away to Whole Foods, got a full sized bottle of wine and cheese & never worried about where to store it even though we had pizza left overs already.
There is not plush carpet. Like most older homes in this area (I lived a few towns over a decade ago), the floors are terrazzo as it is easy to clean sand from and keeps rooms cooler in summer. I love terrazzo.
The place is not air tight. There is a back and front door with windows you can open for an amazing ocean breeze.
And speaking of. The beach is half a block away! You can’t get any closer than this without paying $ 300 a night to be beachside in a fancy hotel. We were even less than a half mile from some of the best shopping and dining locations in the area (St Armond Circle)
Now… Is this place the Ritz Carlton? No way. Is it a roomy and comfy place with a homey feel to come back to after a day of exploring the area? Absolutely. (I would equate it to if your old bachelor college buddy had a beach bungalow he was going to let you borrow.) Maybe this kind of place isn’t for everyone but we loved our stay here.
And frankly, for the price, you can’t beat it. We have even referred some friends to it already.
We will definitely be back.

this is the only place my wife and I stay in on Lido Beach. It is very clean, quiet and well managed by a friendly staff. The beach is across the street and the area is very upscale.
They allow our little dog which is much appreciated for a small fee. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are near some other hotels that charge very high rates for one night! We can stay a week for what they charge for a night. The rates are VERY low and some people are trying to get a $ 500 room for $ 50 and complain when its not a $ 500 room they paid only $ 50 for. Also, there are a lot of awful people trying to ruin a great business running for many years.

This motel is a crap, very dirty.
Never do reservation here.
One star it’s so much…

This place doesn’t even deserve one star. It is a dump and is to be avoided. The owners are using the internet travel sites to lure in the unsuspecting traveler with slick pictures and written descriptions which belie the motel’s true condition. On arrival, we found the rooms, appliances, and bedding, of a «studio apartment» in appalling, filthy, and just plain disgusting condition. Words alone can’t describe how pathetic this place is. On arrival, we cancelled our reservation at a loss of one night’s rate. I repeat, do not book a reservation here.
