Gulf Beach Resort Motel

What can I say — we wanted to do something «Once in a blue moon» on the night of 30-​Jul-​15. Last minute, we opted to grab a place on the beach where we could see the full moon. The Gulf Beach Resort Motel was VERY affordable and offered a 10% discount for FL residents. When we got into our room we were SHOCKED! It was an updated efficiency with a full kitchen (not all rooms were updated). This was not a typical budget kitchen. We had a huge granite countertop and newer appliances. This was indicative of the entire room. It was VERY clean, updated and all around outstanding. We were footsteps from the beach and had a fantastic overnight stay. We will be back VERY often.

Stayed here over Christmas break with my children. Online they show you multiple pictures of the room you will be staying in so there are no surprises. Right on the beach, a mile from St Armands Circle, clean, free wifi, friendly and quiet. Cannot beat the price, especially for the location. Bring a bicycle and enjoy!

A great, modest motel right on the beach. Each unit has a little kitchenette– which I would use for longer stays. I do wish the motel would consider being pet friendly because they have the ideal situation for that. Hint hint. :)

RIGHT ON THE BEACH… and probably half the price of the other places right on the beach. But then… I guess you get what you pay for. This place is clean and decent, but it definitely isn’t luxury. The units are individually owned so they’re all a different experience… but as for our unit… the bathroom was tiny. It was so tiny, that the toilet didn’t have enough space in front for your legs and no place for your toiletries on the sink and just a small shower. The towels looked they had seen way better days, and the pillows/​bed weren’t that comfortable. I did really like their keyless entries. Who wants to bring a key with them to the beach? It was also a nice area. Some people surfing and paddleboarding nearby but other than that, especially if you walk up the more remote area of the beach, it’s kind of romantic because there’s not many people around. We saw dolphins, a live crab eating an oyster, and lots of seashells. But at the same time, it seemed like a budget hotel… the kind you’d take a family to (not a romantic getaway). But again, just remember, it is right on the beach… it’s a trade-​off.

My hubby and I spent 4 nights here for our anniversary. It is right on the beach. The rooms are great. Full kitchens. Pool. Hot tub. Close to armond circle. I would stay here again.
