Great brunch, best views, best lobster ravioli, Eggs Benedict, omelet Station, Fresh shrimp, crab, clams, mussels, cheesecake. Overcooked salmon today. Great coffee, mimosas. Better than the Ritz.

food selection and view excellent. service was terrible — waiter and other staff not available and when they came they acted as if they were doing us a favor !!! this was sunday brunch and the restaurant was only half full!!!

Tiffany who greeted us was fantastic. Made our whole experience just more elegant. Enjoyed the Sunday buffet. Fingerling potato salad was a standout. The steak on buffet was as good as the prime rib. Mini Waffles to order. Seared tuna on a stick. Crab claws & shrimp. Desserts to die for. Finally the view. It’s simply stupendous. Bön appetite !!

We’ve enjoyed the Sunday brunch here many times. The selection was even better this year. The service is stellar. The only complaint is that the eggs benedict was over cooked. I highly recommend this brunch!

Woody the bartender was awesome. We got there right before happy hour and he let us know about the special happy hour prices. Ordered the lobster, shrimp, lump crab cakes slider with hand fried chips, calamari, and Margherita Flatbread. Best was the calamari, had a good hint of garlic, happy hour 2 for 1 for drinks. Beautiful place for sunset also. Within walking for distance of the beach.

My friends enjoyed the evening and the Wonderful music in the 8th fl Grill at the Resort! It’s a great place for Happy Hour and the drinks and appetizers are filling and a great pour! Fun night with the best view of Lido Beach and Sunset on the Gulf!

Went here for a sunset dinner. Was sat on the opposite side of the restaurant. Had the crab cakes for appetizer, they were ok. The olive/garlic bread was wonderful. I ordered a sangria, it was mostly rum. The waiter was nice enough to not charge us for that. My boyfriend had the grouper with risotto. The grouper was good but the risotto was not good at all! Undercooked! I had the scallops with a mushroom risotto. Again, the risotto was undercooked and tasted mostly of onions(strange because the weren’t onions in it). The scallops were very good, large and cooked perfectly. We got up and walked to the other side of the restaurant to see the sunset that was gorgeous! Service was really good but the food was lacking overall for the price.

I brought my husband here on Monday night and had made a reservation prior for a sunset view by the window… well needless to say we didn’t get that… the host put us in the back in the corner by ourselves… I’m a server and bartender and I realize there is a seating arrangement with that but in my restaurant reservations are at the top line… any way we had an ok view. Our server was amazing… food mediochre. My husband and I make better food at home… but any way we tried… I hate writing reviews because I understand the industry. But I wanted a special night for my husband and it just wasnt what I expected especially after reading the reviews… disappointed.

We went for happy hour. Wonderful setting. We watched the sunset from the restaurant. The food was ok. We thought high priced. The drinks were fairly priced. Thee were not enough servers but Holly and Brian did a wonderful job.

On Christmas Day the service was great and food was good. Had to wait a little for salmon and asparagus to be replaced; the asparagus never came while we waited. They said they were cooking it. I would return, but make sure I get asparagus right away because it looked good. They also had gluten free desserts. I would have given five stars had it not been for the wait.

Not sure why my family insists on going here but it’s stopping now. The food is always cold, undercooked or just gross. The only good thing was the prime rib carving station. I try to give it a chance every year but this was the last time we will be attending. Our party is always about 10 people and it’s just not worth $ 600 every trip! I would rather go to the Ritz and pay double. At least we will get quality food.

We went to the Sunday Brunch. It cost 70 $ for two people plus tip. Everything we tried was perfect. Beautifully presented, the service was excellent and the first mimosa is on the house! Wonderful experience and we will be back! Tip 1) The restaurant is on the 8th floor. Tip 2) Park either on the street or the lot next door for easy access.

Dinner was awful here. The food was bad & service is so so. Great view of the sunset but you’re better off going to the bar and getting appetizers.

We met some friends here for drinks and appetizers during happy hour. Not much beer selection. Commanding views of Lido Beach and the Gulf. If your a younger guy looking for a place to pick up hot cougars, this is it!

Met in the bar for Happy Hour with a group of 10 friends on a Sunday night. No draft beer but the house Cabernet was drinkable and drink specials were good. Dave the bearded bartender was the only person working and it was busy. He gets FIVE stars! Terrific, friendly service and we didn’t have to wait for anything. Half price Happy Hour food is the attraction. All fattening but all very good. See our pic of the yummy Buffalo chicken pizza. Beautiful views too, so definitely worth a visit.

I am a brunch snob… I’ll start with the pros: 1) service was top notch; everyone was friendly and helpful and aimed to please! 2) selection was awesome and some top-quality choices! 3) desserts looked great 4) free mimosa 5) we liked the heirloom tomatoes, the chicken piccata, the antipasti, and the waffle was good enough. Cons: 1) finer touches missing(table missing forks, paint job not finished, marks on walls, a bit dated) 2) view of ocean was only visible to the bar… While we all sat and looked at the houses. Maybe reconfigure? 3) while presentation was excellent, no Food item was raved about… Everything was bland or simple. Nothing bad. But everything was a bit boring. Maybe just my taste buds… 4) the spicy scallop and spicy tartare were good but having expensive seafood that is spicy on buffet should be a red flag not to eat it.(Chef trying to use older food up??) 5) desserts were good but not amazing For the price, clean up the place a bit, get a bit more refinement, let us see the ocean, and focus more on tastes than presentations.

Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch was acceptable with a view but with room for improvement. With well over an hour to go, we found ourselves seated by the bar dining room watching the staff begin clearing the empty buffet areas. The dark banquet area was setup as a «S» shaped buffet with assorted seafood dishes, cold potato salad, dried up eggs Benedict, pork loin, bacon, French toast, and assorted seafood appetizers. The front wall station had a grits serving station and an assorted cheese tray that was ravished with a couple of Brie pieces left. Soda crackers were stationed next to the cheese. Turning up the lights would have helped. The tables were far and few. The omelette and pasta stations were fresh and offered an excellent variety. The ham and roast beef carving stations were also impressive. The far wall was the dessert station of miniature petits, cookies, one cheese cake Carmel and nuts, assorted small Danishes and an apple pie. Nothing impressive in the dessert realm. What was obvious was not enough food options for the volume of people they were packing into the dining rooms at $ 44+tx+tip per person. The servers also lacked any desire to work. We had to continuously ask for water refills and for plate removals. Overall, acceptable but with room for improvement.

Good: service, view of Sarasota,(not the Gulf) moray eel in aquarium About 25−30% of the buffet items were very good, the bakery and other items were poor So why the Not recommended review? Bought the $ 40 for $ 20 on Unilocal They only took off $ 20 Any place in a tourist area that scams tourists should go out of business Enough said, try someplace else.

Wonderful dinner at the Lido Beach Grille. When I first walked in to this place, I was not quite sure. The hotel and the décor is a bit 80’s, and the synthesizer organist played songs that made me think I was flashing back to about four years old. I even got teary eyed, and had to call my dad bc some of the music reminded me of when I was little and my dad would sing me some songs. Music became a little bit better when I started focusing on the magnificent views of this restaurant. The restaurant is on the eighth floor. On one side, u see the side view of the beach, on the other side u see the city views of downtown sarasota. I miss seeing a skyline like when I lived in Chicago, so I thought it was so beautiful. We met our server Alfonso from Chile. He was pretty nice, energetic, and helpful. I let him know right away I had a coupon which he took right away because my phone was ready to die. He let us know the special and we checked out the menu. We ordered a pan seared pork tenderloin w potatoes w cheese and asparagus w a mango BBQ glaze sauce, and a swordfish w mango salsa, lobster crab cake and risotto and green beans. He advised us when we had questions, and helped us out a lot. While waiting for our entrees we had warm bread w a choice banana butter, olive oil, or garlic butter. Super yummy. Our entrees came out, and my hubby’s potatoes were hard, so he switched it out right away and made sure he got mashed potatoes that were much better. My order was perfect, and we both asked for extra mango BBQ glaze and mango salsa. No problems and Alfonso took care of us very well. At the end, my hubby let the waiter know it was my birthday. He brought a super pretty dessert of chocolate lava cake w ice cream, with a candle. So tasty. Everything we had was so delicious and beautifully presented. It was another moment in time where u don’t want it to end. It is never to early to celebrate a birthday so I think this is a great start. Afterwards, we walked outside by the beach, and it felt like the moment was timeless and amazing. Glad we came to this restaurant thanks to one of my wonderful companions .
