Macy’s

What a horrible experience went to macys and wanted a few outfits in the INC section and the two women clerks were so nasty and unhelpful. They had such an attitude we had to leave. No help at all. We then went to Dillards and were helped by such nice sales people what a difference. So glad we didn't give macys our money.

The macys at utc is a nice store but that is where it stops. The sales clerks upstairs in the womens department are SO RUDE, unprofessional and look at you like you are bothering them. I have been to many macy stores in large cities in other states and never have felt like I was a bother. They are soooo lazy and when you ask for a price check they tell you to go to the price check machine really??? Idiots

The University of Town Center mall is considerably large. However this is your average Macy’s.
With Macy’s being a department store company worldwide and consumers constantly in and out, I was actually surprised with the customer service I received during the past couple of times I have visited this store.
Deborrah handled my shopping needs for perfumes and colognes in such a timely manner, with the long-​awaited brief time that I had. With fine jewelry, Natalie has been excellent in serving customers with the merchandise they are looking for, especially with picky consumers like myself. Also, Aidee shows outstanding performance in the support department and is always willing to help.
After all of the different Macy’s locations I have been to over the past two decades, the employees at Macy’s UTC has shown me what customer service really is. The three individuals I mentioned always go above and beyond expectations as they constantly show kindness and caring despite what type of day they experienced.
You know for a fact that I will be returning, zero to a hundred, real quick.

It’s your average Macy’s. However it is much nicer than the regular one we shop at at Tyrone mall In st Pete. We hit this one whenever we manage to be in the Sarasota area. We don’t normally buy anything unless we find something on sale. However if you can hit their sales you can def score some great deals. Just have to be willing to look for the bargains!

Your average Macy’s even though at a new large mall. Was a little messy in the clearance section of both women & men departments. Service was slow at the cosmetic counter, but sales associate was very sweet and thankful for my patience. My expectation was higher at a newer, more upscale mall.

Beautiful new store but the staff is very rude. i purchased a pair of shoes for my husband. The lady was not friendly and did not check the size. When I got home a half hour away I had one 10 size one 11 size and two left feet.
When I went to take them back at another mall that was closer, they told me they don’t carry that shoe and could not take it back. They looked at me like it was my fault. I learned to double check myself when I shop at these Macy stores. It was a very disappointing experience. Also, they will not honor a coupon unless you have it printed out and hand it to them. The Macy’s in Michigan always honor coupons even if i leave it at home.

Shopped here with my 7-​year-​old. It’s a small but manageable Macy’s. Like all stores these days, it’s woefully understaffed– sometimes finding a clerk feels like a Where’s Waldo search so maybe they should wear red and white striped outfits and black pointy hats. Once you find them though, they are friendly and helpful so it’s worth the search. Plus, the usual great Macy’s deals.

I honestly don’t think I have ever seen such poor sales folks or customer service folks like the old ladies they have hired at the Lancome Perfume Counter at Macys. Went to purchase a bottle of perfume from Lancome… waited for at least 10 minutes while two ladies with snow white hair were attending to one single customer. When they finally came over, the lady with short hair hardly had any information about the products and nor was she willing to explain or talk about what she was holding. She was clearly unfriendly, did not seem to want to talk to us or sell anything. While another young lady from a different counter came over to help. She was possibly in her twenties and was very attentive and tried to help. I should not have purchased anything from the old lady but since we were in a hurry to get the kids calm down I made a purchase in haste. Horrible customer service. I have shopped at Macys all my life in many different states and at the Sarasota Square Mall but the UTC sales folks especially the older ones that I have dealt with clearly did not seem to know what they were doing. They need to educate their sales people about their products and train them better on customer service.
Also their line of clothing could be improved. The styles are so out dated and shabby. I was expecting a lot more style and glamour when this mall opened up!

Second time i had to hunt and hunt for a sales associate.
The unpleasantness of the staff is apparent.
Definately will go to sarasota square macys from now on

Brand new Macy’s it’s really modern and nice and clean the customer service is great and staff is really friendly

Had the pleasure of checking out this brand new Macy’s that just opened today! A key department store at the new University Town Center/​Mall, this location is huge!
Really nice as you could imagine and definitely designed to look more upscale than most Macy’s locations. This is most likely due to the fact that this new mall is aimed at the growing affluent communities that surround it. Other than its look, everything else is exactly what you’d expect it to be. Imagine the look and feel of a Bloomingdales without all the very high end brand names.
