Miller’s Ale House – Sarasota

Good place to watch sports. Food is ok but don’t expect gourmet, bar food basically. Really good beer selection and pretty good service. More tv’s than best buy so anything is available. Overall a pretty ok place to go.

The food is good. Our server waited until after Happy Hour pricing to submit our check and pulled out $ 2 to make up the difference. We thought that was a bit sketchy.

Great food and enjoyed watching the game. Service was a little slow but the place was crowded so it’s understandable. Overall a good place to go and kill a couple hours.

Awesome place! Very good spot for great food and watching sporting events. There zingers with sour cream and pico are excellent (there version of a fried chicken strip). Menu is huge! Lots of great seafood dishes to choose from and great drink specials. Service is also excellent in my experiences with the Sarasota location can’t say it it is the same at all there locations hense this is a florida franchise. I highly suggest giving them a try.

Like so many Sarasota restaurants, it’s a little challenging to wind one’s way from the main roads (Fruitville or Cattlemen) to the restaurant, but once one arrives, it’s a joy to be there.
There’s plenty of parking.
The food is very good. It has the best French onion soup in the region.
The waitstaff is very friendly, and the ambience allows conversation while serving as a panorama of all sorts of people.

Throughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the generous plate of loaded chicken nachos. I am giving only 3 stars because the service was close to the worst I’ve ever had! Fun place but go with low expectations.

We love millers but this time was so disappointing we don’t plan on going back anytime soon. I had the zingers salad last time at lunch and it was such a huge portion with 10 zingers! I had been looking forward to having it again so that’s what I got with the hopes of sharing it with my husband. Well it was nothing like the last time. Only had 5 zingers on it and no croutons. Salad was small and had full pieces of celery which was weird would have happily asked for some croutons but our waitress never came to check on us. When she finally did come at the end of our meal she never asked us how everything was and we didn’t bother tell her. My husband had the Cajun chicken pasta like he gets all the time and it seems the portion sizes have gone way down. Also there was so kind of sharp piece of bone in my salad that I almost choked on and cut my mouth. We drove 30 mins to have a great meal at millers and it was a compete let down

This was great seafood. I had the Mahi Mahi blackened, not overly spicy. A lot of fish, more so then the average seafood restaurant. The lobster special was also ordered by my party. It looks and was quite good, however they did not have much meat on them. The lighting and décor reminded me of an Outback Steakhouse. Which is eh I guess, but they stuck my party right outside of the restroom and that’s disrespectful. The wait was about an hour and the seating was fucking embarrassing. I mean if I fucking wait an hour to get sat outside of the bathroom I mean Jesus fuck me.

Had the lobster special, out of the ballpark delicious. The flavor was unreal, very sweet lobster. Loaded fries was good and coleslaw hit the spot as prime sides.

Food is awesome and the staff is excellent. Jack the manager is really awesome. He has a great personality and he fits well with that bar /​restaurant. All of the waiters and bartenders are great. I had an excellent experience here and the food was perfect every single time. I give this place 5 stars easily.

Came here here with the kids and grandkids, the place was packed and it took a bit to get the food, which tasted ok, but not great. My daughter suggested it so I agreed but don’t think I’d go back again.

Good food and service, but be aware that the outdoor bar while a mostly closed structure, is still smoking. Signage to make people aware would be a benefit, as I would have seated elsewhere

The good is the burgers, onion rings and Tv’s, the bad is the parking and trying to find a table.
Fish tacos are bland but good place for a beer.

Very casual and efficient environment. The food was good bar food and really good people around with good vibes. Staff is helpful and quick and always in a good mood. I like that the staff is able to interact with each other and laugh while still working.

If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch or a place to enjoy a wide variety of beers for happy hour, the alehouse is fine. On the other hand, if you’re looking for good service or a nice dinner with vegetarian options and a glass of decent wine, go somewhere else. The alehouse has good bar food, good beer, and good prices. But that’s about it.
Linse and I stopped in last night for a glass of beer and a plate of nachos. By the way, the nachos are enormous and easily feed two people. The table next to us was very obnoxious with two guys practically yelling. They were obviously drunk which sometimes happens in a bar. But they were over-​the-​top, and I figured it was only a matter of time before a manager came out and asked them to leave. Some of the other patrons around us were also offering glances of annoyance. I was shocked when the waitress brought them still another picture of beer as their little kids ran around our table.
To top it off, our service was pretty poor. The server was inattentive and forgot several things.
Alehouse, it’s one thing for everyone to have a good Time even to get a little crazy. It’s another thing to keep serving customers who are obviously wasted and ruining everyone else’s meal.

Typical sports bar that gets crowded and loud. Probably due to its location. 2 star for the flavorless salmon and sweet potato fries. Would give same for service as our server never came back to refill drinks or ask how food was. Granted, they were busy but server should be taught the basics.
Most of these sports bars are ok for drinking and fried foods but not my thing. Live and learn.

Miller’s ale house is solid for a chain. I like the double bar set up they have. One is basically for outdoors if that’s your preference. I also like the menu they have to offer, some items here are unique to the ale house alone. Also the beers on tap here are pretty good as well, nice craft selection with a menu to look at.
As for lunch I started with minestrone soup and I thought the taste was fairly good. As for the main dish I had jambalaya which I thought had plenty of kick to it and tasted good as well. I was surprised to find, chicken, sausage and shrimp in it as well! Nice touch!
The staff here is very friendly as well. I’ll stop back on in as I do from time to time. Miller’s ale house is the closet I get to eaten chain food.

My family and I went to the Ale House on New Year’s Eve. They seem to frequent the establishment but it had been years since I had been. There was a short wait but we were able to get our large party (there were nine of us I believe) seated in the patio area pretty quickly. They have a good beer selection and a pretty extensive menu. I was looking for something light and went with one of their salads with shrimp instead of blackened chicken. They were very accommodating with changes in the menu item including the shrimp, no cheese, dressing on the side, etc and luckily it came out exactly as I had asked. i thought the salad was quite tasty.
Our server was very nice and dealt well with my grandmother’s ill patience, which at times made me want to crawl under the table (I think you lose all filter when you reach your eighties). They also were very nice about turning the heaters on for us when the patio area began to get cool. It warmed up nicely. I really enjoyed our experience and would come back in the future when I’m in town.

I always love the Miller’s Ale House chain. I think I have been to almost all of them, but crossing this one of the list.
Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere every time. For a casual lunch or dinner, I will always pick an Ale House.

Picture a rainy wet fall Florida evening and the hankering for wings takes hold. Thankfully there was a Miller’s Ale House across the parking lot. I’m a fan of Ale House’s. They seem to be always packed and full of friendly people.
This evening it was take-​out, 20 medium wings (the wings were so big I could have gone with an order of 10). The place was packed but my order was done before I could finish a beer. Chloe packed my meal as if I was going on a picnic, celery in it’s own container, plenty of wet-​wipes and napkins, and oh yeah a take-​out menu.
Not a bad beer selection, a few from local breweries.
I’ll be back.

Eine terrasse ohne klimaanlage mit rundum fernsehern, aber wunderbares essen und sehr preiswert! empfehlenswert!!!

Typisch amerikanische Sportsbar also viele Bildschirme mit ebenso landestypischem Speisenangebot: Steaks, Burgers, Caesar Salad. Spezialität sind Zingers, eine Art gefüllte Chicken Wings ohne Knochen. Es gibt jeden Tag ein Daily Special, das sich wöchentlich wiederholt. Das Essen ist qualitativ sehr gut, lecker und reichlich. Europäische Gemüter dürften es im Innenraum wegen der Air Condition als zu kühl empfinden. Alternativ gibt es einen Patio, eine Art Innenhof bzw. Veranda. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.
