This location is now open under a new name — Wilfred’s Bar and Grill.

It’s no longer there — but it was by far the best little place in Palmer Ranch. A hidden gem!
The island fries were awesome. He had the best prices for food and drinks. Mille was one of the best owners k have ever met, ad I am sad the place is gone.

Went to try this place out for the first time but it is no longer in business. It has now changed ownership and name.

Shocked at the bad reviews and I’m picky! Wedge salad was so fresh and presented beautifully! Great Philly cheesesteak and I’m from Philly! Awesome happy hour everything ½ price!!! My favorite local place. Not 5 star because of atmosphere very casual :)

I have been to Monkey Bar on each of my 3 visits this year to Sarasota. I don’t know what is better the food or the friendly great service. BOTH ! This visit to Sarasota had my son and I sat on the breezy shaded patio for two incredible meals. Addictive Firecracker shrimp rolls were consistently amazing, since I had them both visits. The chicken soup screams homemade. Did I mention the décor and whimsical graphics? This is a real gem. Michael and his team make every guest feel like a friend. Don’t miss Monkey Bar. You will be a repeat visitor.

Such high hopes for this cute little place. The service was pretty awful; I felt like he was filling in as the real waitstaff called off?
He didn’t know specials, he was slow and forgetful.
The good side was that the burger was good… Cooked perfectly (and half off special that was a surprise to us as we ordered as it was not posted anywhere).The fries seemed wilted, and they should change their grease.
The ambiance is fun, but music was playing AND the television sound was on so that became annoying. Outside seating is good even though right next to the parking lot; you don’t feel like cars are a nuisance.
There’s been a lot of change over for this location for restaurants in the last 5 years, so we were hoping this last change would stick. This was our second time with bad service, so we probably won’t go back.

Truly dreadful. We had the fish and chips which was heavy and greasy. The fries were limp and greasy and the coleslaw was dry. The atmosphere was dingy and depressing on a Saturday night in season. Never again

Sorry the very first Unilocal has to be a 3-​star. We sat in the bar and weren’t expecting too much. The restaurant is just being remodeled but coming along slowly and cheaply. The bar stools are tremendously uncomfortable after 25 minutes. The service was so-​so and the onion rings were very greasy and the wings were a little on the rare side, oh, and uh, FREEZER BURNED which I hate! Give this place a fighting chance. I understand it is new so let’s see if the food gets any better. Looking forward to a return…
