Outback Steakhouse

We spent A long day at the beach and were exhausted and hungry. We were so happy to have outback steakhouse on the way home. We ordered several different sirloin steaks. Also ordered pasta, shrimp and appetizers. Everything was delicious. Steaks came at the right doneness. Steaks also had nice flavor. Baked potatoes very fluffy and fresh. Salads cold and crispy. Had one order mistake and servers and managers corrected immediately. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. Great experience!

We came to Outback, only because we had a gift card; just saying expectations weren’t high, but I didn’t think it would be this bad. IMMEDIATELY, after sitting you’re asked if you’d like, bread, blooming onion, shrimp, etc. we ordered a blooming onion, it arrived before our drinks. Slightly burnt. Our server was nice, but not the least bit accommodating. We ordered wings, asked to make them as spicy as possible — she informed us that their, «hot» was not hot at all and that she would bring us Tabasco, wings come out — no Tabasco and the wings were greasy.(see picture will speak for itself). I ordered the wedge salad, took two bites and set it aside. The ribeye sandwich — I asked for med rare was told that it only comes one temperature, and found out why, because the onions on the sandwich are thicker than the meat. We clearly weren’t finishing anything in front of us — with approx 5 plates of uneaten food, you would think the server or manager would come by and ask if everything was ok, but nope. Server didn’t offer to take any of the uneaten food off the bill, so all in all our check was $ 50. Definitely will never return to this location, and would suggest major changes to their business.

Call ahead is an absolute joke — called in at 5:35 and was told wait was 35 minutes and was added to the list. Arrived at 6:05 and was told 20 minutes more.
Our group of 5 has now been waiting over an hour!
Don’t– and I repeat — don’t fall for call ahead or begin to believe the wait times recited by the hostesses.
This deceptive practice will end my visits to all Outbacks once and for all.
Just left without eating — or even being recognized by the hostess. 1 hour and 25 minutes! If they are looking for their pager — it’s in the trash can by the front door!!!
Oh, and we are not the winter snowbirds — we live a mile from the restaurant.

There was a hiccup with our takeout order, called to make them aware that there was a problem with our takeaway and to my surprise the owner got on the phone and quickly offered a solution. Thank you Brian for going the extra mile.

I live close to the OUTBACK in Venice, so that’s my favorite, of course, but I was meeting a friend here for lunch and this was more convenient for her. This was the first time I saw some authentic DIDGERIDOOS in an Outback, and since it IS a unique Australian instrument, I am surprised that they do not show them in more of the Outback restaurants.
Anyway, back to my lunch — I ordered that 4 course special for $ 14.99, and let me tell you, it really IS a super bargain.
You get choice of soup, PLUS choice of salads, PLUS your entrée, PLUS a dessert. I chose the chicken tortilla soup, a Caesar salad, Chicken Marsala as my entrée and cheesecake with raspberry sauce for dessert.
Such a deal, unfortunately, I was told this is only for a «limited time», so hurry in there and take advantage of this fantastic bargain. I took enough food home for another meal!!!
Dan, our server, was very pleasant and efficient.

Had a pretty good lunch here. I got the range fed, superduper hamburger! It tasted pretty good.
Had a late lunch, around 2 PM, stopped in and of course, it wasn’t busy so the service was quick.
Had a huge blooming onion, salad, baked potato and burger and all was good.
Can’t really complain about anything here. Of course, if you go when it is busy, like a restaurant, service could vary.

Auf dem Heimweg von einem Tagesausflug haben wir gemerkt, dass wir ganz schön spät erst in Naples ankommen würden — zu spät um dann noch Essen zu gehen.
Die meisten Steakhäuser schließen schon um 22 Uhr.
So haben wir also beschlossen, einfach unterwegs anzuhalten und einzukehren.
Lieber wäre mir gewesen, hier etwas ganz Neues zu testen, aber ²⁄₃ unseres Familienrates hat beschlossen, lieber eine bekannte Kette aufzusuchen.
Vom Ambiente her ist das Outback in Sarasota echt klasse, sehr urig eingerichtet.
Der Service war ok, Sauberkeit auch ok.
Mein Filetsteak war nicht ganz so zart, wie ich es sonst kenne. Und der Garpunkt war auch nicht so perfekt getroffen. Geschmacklich aber gut.
Insgesamt noch Luft nach oben.

Outback use to be consistent in their food. Last night I ate there for second time in last two months. It has gone downhill so much. New filet steak sandwich is dry tasteless and fries greasy. I guess I am done going here. What a shame.

Server was very friendly. Food was good. I had the ribeye steak sandwich. It was a little dry. Fries really good.

Although, my family and I eat at Outback often, this was our first visit to this location. Seated as promised and in a timely manner. Busy rush hour dinner, but never the less, we felt important. Our server, she was awesome. Party of 5, and all meals were prepared perfectly. Restroom and front porch needed to be tidied up, but like I said, it was rush hour and things were just starting to slow down as we were leaving. Outback, is a usual winner in my book of chain restaurants, I will return to this location…

I had the double cheeseburger and Aussie fries. Not bad, but nothing special. I’d rather go to Five Guys for a burger and fries — better food and about $ 5 less.

Ordered carry out and the server just brought the food out in a box, no bag, it was odd. Food was good though,

Great sirloin and hands down the best salad. The service varies by the server you get. The bread with the honey butter is amazing too! Dining in the bar area ensures. $ 4 happy hour appetizers and drinks. Good for a crowd or for 2. Plus outdoor dining is nice with dogs.

Easily the worst restaurant I’ve been to in years. We were a party of six.
I have to be curt as I could recite a litany of detailed service and quality problems:
Drinks…Long wait for service; brought, literally, one at a time; Manhattan made with scotch; Chavez watered down; my O’Doul’s, bad as always.
Food…Also served one entrée at a time; using mine as an example, the steak ordered medium rare was barely singed, rare rare I guess and way too salty; garlic mashed potatoes were sans garlic and any taste; ordered extra mushroom, marsala steak sauce; came in a thimble and was tasteless; salad with blue cheese was good. I should have ordered just a trough of that.
Bathroom: Indescribably filthy and urine pooled.
Etc., etc…
Oh yeah, I forgot, the server forgot silverware and napkins for all. Only after bringing two small loaves of bread and the ever useful thimble half full of «butter» and my coaxing did she bring the afore mentioned service stuff and bread for the other end of the table.

The crab and avocado stack is horrible. The steak is okay and I like their creamy horseradish tiger sauce.

Try to arrive from 5pm — 7pm for your best service. Went at 8pm what a mistake. Tables were a mess and the floor looked like a food fight. Server had a bad attitude. Didn’t get 2 orders right with a party of six. Our check total $ 130. That was my last visit to this restaurant.

I always love to eat here. Today I strayed from my usual lunch, alice springs chicken, and got one of their specials. Three small pieces of filet with different sauces. The meal was fabulous. But what makes it better was the server. First time I can say I didn’t feel like I was inconveniencing a server by asking them to change up the meal a little. It was almost like she was excited we were doing something different. lol. Customer service can go a long way. Thank you Outback.

Again, I’m not a restaurant chain guy but I can count on Outback to be another good food place for the value. I absolutely LOVE the cheese bacon fries here with ranch. It’s my GO-​TO appetizer and the hamburgers are good too. I give the cheese fries a 10 and hamburgers an 8. With the exception of the cheese bacon fries, nothing else is amazing, but then again, nothing is terrible.
I see that some people didn’t get great service but I believe you get what you give. If you are not receptive and friendly with your server, then your server isn’t necessarily going to be that stellar either.
We had a fun upbeat server who anticipated our refills to extra napkins without us needing to ask. Perhaps, he noticed we were a happy smiling bunch and he enjoyed serving us. I looked at the other 10+ tables and it looked liked the sitting dead with the average ages twice the average of ours. Also, who wants to serve high maintenance guests who don’t appreciate anything? I’ve noticed that more and more in this area. Having money is nice, but it doesn’t mean you’re entitled to be demanding and rude to your server.

It was OK. Once again, not much to say here… Sorry I’m not sorry.

Came here for dinner with the family. I don’t eat beef or pork or chicken lol so I had the salmon (extra seasoning), mixed vegetables, and a baked potato and a glass of wine. I started with the caesar salad (not very good) and ended with cheesecake (can’t go wrong).
Our server was very attentive.
Everything was good but the Caesar salad. Stay away.
