My husband and I love Vietnamese food but this has been the worst food we had ever had. We had a salted, tasteless and greasy eggroll. I ordered a veggie stir fry and my husband a lemongrass vermicelli. 80% of my stir fry was white onions and carrots and a few bock choy leaves and snow peas in a thick tasteless MSG loaded sauce. Nothing wrong with onions and carrots but this is not what I call a stir fry. The lemongrass was tasteless when this is a dish that can be divine if cooked well. We had to wait almost one hour to get our food. We are not going back.

Service polite but a bit clueless. Server had to change the «CLOSED» signs to «OPEN» upon our suggestion (about 20 minutes after noon hour opening). Did not ask about our preferred beverages as we sat down. No hot tea. Food was generally very tasty — shrimp rolls were served hot and nicely flavored, fried dumplings also good (crispier than typical); one of us had large phở bowl (very fresh and well flavored) and the other had tasty shrimp with jasmine rice (generous portion of shrimp). Total bill with tip about $ 33 — a bit pricey for lunch, but quality of food justified this price. Good location with easy parking. Owner should post the menu online. We will likely return.

Service was good (and company was great), but none of it could make up for the food, minus the boba smoothie.
1. We had to remind the servers to bring out the appetizers, which are the fried shrimp chips (banh phong tom).
2. The banh phong tom were soggy. Ugh. That is really disappointing.
3. I ordered Bun Bo Hue, which Anthony Bourdain has called «the greatest soup in the world.» This one fell woefully short. The bun bo hue, sometimes called «spicy beef noodle soup,» wasn’t spicy; had barely any meat; and the noodles weren’t the right kind. Basically, it failed on ALL THE ADJECTIVES!
4. I have to say though, that I ordered a mango smoothie with boba, and it was fantastic — one of the best I’ve ever had, and this is coming from someone who LOVES boba. If they added sugar, then I could not tell, but the boba was the right consistency, and the mango flavor was great.
I wouldn’t mind coming back, but expectations were way too high with the other Unilocal reviews.

I’ve been to this restaurant several times and have enjoyed the dishes my husband and I have tried. He likes that there’s an option for brown rice with the dishes. The portions are large and veggies cooked just right.
At the start of the meal we were given a basket of something delightful that I’d like to think is just a cracker filled with air! A nice change from other Asian restaurant’s munchies.
. I want to say that the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more efficient. Tonight we were a party of four. Our food came quickly… Almost too quickly as we hadn’t finished our delicious appetizers (lettuce wraps and fresh tofu spring rolls plus fresh shrimp spring rolls). One member of our party asked whether the dish she was interested in would be spicy and was told «no,» so when this person commented to our waitress about the spicy flavor the waitress insisted the chef remakes the dish for her which was done promptly.
. I love the chicken fried rice as the chicken is made up of tasty chunks of dark meat chicken and the rice isn’t a salty base but is delicious! Many menu choices and specialties including of course many PHO options. We will definitely return.

I started out with an order of the minced shrimp in tofu skin spring rolls and while they were fresh and crunchy, they were slightly small and lacked big flavor.
I followed this up with an order of the Phở Saigon with rare eye round steak and fatty flank. The last time I was out for phở, I saw another patron order his steak on the side. He was then able to add it to his phở when he was ready to eat and manage its doneness. I asked the waiter for my steak on the side, but to my disappointment, it was served in the phở.
Just like the spring rolls, the phở was good, but it lacked distinguishing flavor that would elevate it to 4 star status.
The place is clean and nicely lit, and the service was prompt. If you are in the area, give it a try, but don’t make any extra effort to visit.

Food is good. Service is a different story. Server not very bright. They were not that busy, it was late lunch hours. They all stood around staring at the walls instead of taking my order. Had to flag them down to put in my order and flag them down again to get my bill. Poor customer service.
Tried to order a slush. They didn’t know what flavor a they have and what was out. They after I’m almost done eating, they tell me they do have the flavor I wanted but no more boba. Wtf?
Luckily I was just passing thru and will never come back.

This review is for takeout only. In my journey to find great tasting gluten free options a friend suggested I try Phở Saigon. The waitress was extremely helpful with highlighting dishes on the menu that could be made gluten free, and during the 8:00pm dinner rush the wait for takeout was less than 20 mins. I ordered the Lemongrass coconut vermicelli [rice] noodle bowl with chicken and veggies at a medium hot spice at it was delish!!! I will certainly go back there again for take out and dine in.

Delicious *VEGAN* Phở!!! Finally!
My S.O. and I have eaten here two days in a row (with plans to bring friends on the weekend). The flavor of the broth is amazing! I could literally just sip on the broth all day long. We both got the #42 Vegan Phở with Fried Tofu (both days) as well as the #3 Crispy Veggie Spring Rolls.
The vegan phở we ordered did come with two slices of jalapeño which offered a nice kick, but might be too much for those with more sensitive tastebuds.
I can even say that the phở tastes just as good the next day! They told us to heat it up over the stove otherwise it can change the taste and be a bit on the salty side.
We’ve ordered to go each time because this place can draw a crowd but once you taste it for yourself you’ll understand why.

My new favorite Phở slot in Sarasota! (Sorry Phở Cali. Will still be a regular when downtown of course!)
The whole family went out on a limb to try a new spot and we were blown away by this place. The staff is amazing and the family running the joint is super ambitious and I applaud them. You’ll know instantly how much they care about the quality of food when they bring out the fresh veggies for the Phở. They are as organic as possible having just been picked from the family garden. I have been eating Phở for decades and have never encountered the fresh fragrance of Phở sides.
We sampled tons of stuff and were really impressed. Spring rolls and fresh rolls. Several other entrees too.
This is now our GoTo spot for Phở. Can’t wait for our next trip back from NYC!

Wow what a find! I was apprehensive at first because it’s not decorated very well and the seating is awkwardly laid out, but my friend talked me into staying. Boy am I glad we did!
First, the service is very good! Very attentive and personable, although we had to wait sometimes to get the one servers attention — come on owners! Stop chit-​chatting and help out!
The food was FABULOUS! My friend had a clear soup with veggies and shrimp — she said it was delicious. I had the lemongrass coconut vermicelli noodle bowl with tofu and veggies — I loved it!
It’s the best Vietnamese food I’ve had since I left Seattle, which is saying something because Vietnamese is the 3rd most spoken language in the Evergreen State!
So happy to have found Phở Saigon!

So excited that there are more and more options for Asian food in SRQ!
We tried Phở Saigon on Friday, 6.19 and had a really great experience! Hubs and I both ordered the lemongrass vermicelli noodles with steak (so good!) and our dining companion ordered shrimp lemongrass phở (she loved it!)! We all ordered boba drinks (LOVE) and service was fast and friendly. Prices are also very reasonable.
Writing this review actually makes me want to go back for lunch today! Hmmm. :)

A new Vietnamese restaurant in the Landings is a welcome addition to a bring
strip mall. Our first try was take out and defiantly makes us want to go
back again soon. Our favorite was the roasted duck phở with rice noodles.
Sauces are a great addition and the duck had a slight BBQ flavor and
abundant for the price.
Fresh spring rolls are good and spicy lemongrass phở flavorful. Dumplings
uneventful.
Looking forward to trying the stir fry dishes and more of the duck phở for
sure.

Hooray more phở places are opening in SRQ! Very very clean restaurant. Pretty inside, ate wonton noodle soup and tried the phở dac biet. Lotus salad was delicious and you’re given shrimp chips with your meal, which is a nice idea. Opted out on the king size portion of phở, regular version seemed adequate lots of noodles and meat. Broth was a little bland, but I’ll take the clean taste over instant broth any time. Seems like they’re still working out some kinks, but I will definitely be back! Service was attentive and their location is much more accessible than Phở Cali. Still catering to the non-​Vietnamese palate, but overall very fresh and yummy

First time visit for wife and myself. The food was fresh and well prepared. Service was attentive and excellent.
We enjoyed the fresh shrimp rolls appetizer which surprisingly was served in a moist rapper at room temperature. Quite delicious.
My wife had a chicken and noodle bowl, not soup, and the taste was amazing. I enjoyed the beef crispy stirfry. Served hot with a large portion.
No complaints and we will be back.
