I was hoping to give 5 stars, but unfortunetly, the sandwich that I had today, was not what I expected. The ingredients in the sandwich were awesome, but the bread.eh.

Best italian subs in Sarasota… worth a detour just for a sub for lunch. The do have a reasonable selection of Italian packaged foods as well as olives and such, but they seemed to be very overpriced. They have tables so you usually can find some place to sit and eat. Recommended for lunch…

Horrible customer service!!! The food isn’t worth the attitude and the amount of time it takes to actually get your food here. They have a big sign that says we refuse the right to serve anyone… Which really should say we have the right to be rude to anyone. Last time we were in 5 people came after us and all got their food first. I ordered a salad(easy to make) when I asked what the hold up was they said what do you think this is McDonalds? It’s moved to a bigger location and they have more people working now so should be faster but it isn’t. Won’t be back ever. There is at least 5 other Italian places on this street and one over I’ll go to one of them next time.

This little place is a gem! The food is so good and the owners are so nice. This is the real deal. True Italian food. I love Piccolo Deli!

The best Italian sub-the Parma sub! A great selection of groceries especially the Grano d’ Oro pasta. The espresso is made perfectly! The owners are so nice and true Italianos!

Best place I know of for great sandwiches, Italian meats & cheeses & groceries. Great Pizza. Small, few tables but the owners are very friendly & awesome!
