We went out for an afternoon trip with 5 friends and had a wonderful time. We had cocktails at Phillippi creek restaurant while we gathered for our departure. We launched from the dock behind the restaurant and went under 41 to a part of the creek you normally don’t get to see. Boris was on time, carefully loaded all of us into the boat. Some of us brought beverages to enjoy. We really enjoyed something so different from the norm here in the U S. Boris has an excellent voice and we truly enjoyed the songs in Italian. Would definitely do this again for out of town guests or special occasions.

I don’t remember how I found the Sarasota Gondola, but I’m happy that I did. We finally decided to go for one of our anniversary weekend outings. It was fun and relaxing. There was some music playing like italian music, and our gondolier even sang a song for us. I wish this little gondola ride lasted longer because it was quite perfect. You can also bring some wine and cheese, and it is dog friendly. Wish our little doggie was with us. Afterwards or beforehand, you may also want to eat at the Phillipe Creek Oyster House & Restaurant.

My wife and I joined our friends, Richard and Sheila for a one hour gondola ride with Boris the Gondolier in Sarasota. We had read articles about Boris on the web and watched a Youtube video at and were looking forward to the experience. We were not disappointed. Boris is a true professional. He looks the part of a Gondolier — tall, muscular and dressed immaculately in the Gondolier garb. He entertained us from start to finish. His tenor voice was a pleasure to listen to as he sung O Sole Mio. He joked, told us tales about the properties in Phillippi Creek, and provided a nature commentary on the birds and other wildlife frequenting the area. We were visiting Sarasota for a short five day trip. Boris was without a doubt one of the major attraction of our visit. We can wholeheartedly recommend this romantic trip to others.
