Beautiful bar, nice dining areas, good service, rich meals, bit pricey but nice happy hour deals.

Had a wonderful a meal with family on mother’s day. Accommodating staff for a party of seven including three children. Incredible appetizers including fried oystets, crab cake, short rib spring roll and Flatbread that chicken nugget only kids devoured. Snapper with shrimp and scallops was fresh and tasty. Paella was incredible. Entrée portion were larger and could be easily shared with a salad. The quality and taste of our meals was excellent. I would recommend trying this place.

We were there for their Happy Hour. Outstanding $ 5 appetizers. Great service. Beautifully decorated. Our waitress Casey was a delight. We are returning for dinner in two days. Go you won’t be sorry.

Food was very well prepared and presented, tho pricey. Service was poor, waiter complained to our guests that he had to overwork to make money. Forgetful, hurried making all uncomfortable. Averaging these two factors, it was disappointing. When one spends 30 – 40 for an entrée, would expect a relaxing professional experience. Will not return.

I had the naked fish — Chilean sea bass and it was the best I ever had. It came with a flavorful potato galette that had at least twenty layers of potatoes. My friend had the filet and loved it.

My favorite spot for Filet Mignon in Sarasota. I am also obsessed with their yucca rolls and the atmosphere is lovely. Sit outside! But not in the summer… ;)

I would not go here again. I went for Easter brunch this morning and a few things were disappointing. First I think they need a new air conditioner, it was very hot in the restaurant. I asked someone to turn the air down since everyone in my group was sweating but even when they did the air coming out of the vent wasn’t very cold. Get an a/c person out there! This is Florida, there is no excuses. The food was okay. I had the steak and eggs and the meat was a little tough. My moms shrimp and grits was good and better than mine(although the menu didn’t list it as having grits). If you have food allergies this is not the place for you. They give a very limited description of food on their menu, and my partner is deathly allergic to apples. Had he seen it listed as an ingredient in the greens on his dish he would have asked them to leave it off. Luckily he saw green apple as he was literally putting a bite in his mouth otherwise our Easter morning would have led to an ER trip! Service was ok, our waiter wasn’t very attentive. View is nice of the water and people canoeing outside. But food quality and heat would makes this a very forgettable place. Meh! Skip it.

Don’t confuse quality, quantity, and price. This is a pricey restaurant. During this visit, I felt the quality was average. Quantity of portions especially appetizers is very disappointing. For the main entré, $ 32 for 6 stuffed shrimp and $ 27 for four scallops is outrageous not to mention $ 49 for surf and turf. The chef also had a heavy hand with the salt shaker. Last but not least, happy hour specials only apply if you are sitting in the bar. No happy hour deals if your seated in the restaurant. That’s rediculous. The server was very good.

Why 5 stars? Because I’ve been here aporox 3 – 4 x’s now & each meal was heavenly! I’m not a big drinker but I’m a huge foodie! My g-friend must’ve tried at least 5 – 6 different unique cocktails & I took a sip of each one & they were all scrumptious! I had the sea bass on a bed of shrimp & squid & something else & it was amazing! My daughter ordered the lamb chops & they were cooked & seasoned perfectly! My son ordered the phở & it was delicious & each of us took home leftovers, bonus! My g-friend ordered the trio lobster special & although I didn’t try it, she raved about it! The desserts were amazing & also very unique. I love the diversity of the foods & I really appreciated the waitress being really careful about my kids allergies to nuts, soy, corn & gluten! The appetizer, yucca cheese bread is gluten free, free of all my kids allergies & it’s great tasting! The chef is amazing & creative! The view is great & I will definitely be back! It’s worth the drive to Sarasota!

Came here with my parents to celebrate my dad’s birthday. We were attracted primarily by the cheap happy hour food menu, but of course we didn’t stop there. The three of us ended up ordering three dinner plates, a dessert, and four drinks for about $ 50. It was without a doubt the best deal of the weekend. For dinner we shared the Kobe Beef Sliders, Short Rib Rangoons(recommended by our waitress), and the Bacon Jam Flatbread. Each was a mere $ 5 and each was very good. My favorite of the three was the rangoons, but the beef sliders weren’t far behind. The flatbread didn’t wow us quite as much, but I will say it was the most convenient to share. We followed dinner with a dessert that my dad had fallen in love with the last time he was here. It had an apple pastry with vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream, and raspberry sauce. Let’s just say my dad didn’t exaggerate how delicious this was! For my drink I ordered a sangria(also $ 5) which was garnished with orange, blueberry, and blackberry. It was pretty good but maybe a little too sweet for my taste… Definitely not as good as the sangria I had the night before. The outdoor seating is along a creek(hence the name), and the scenery was beautiful. The short wait for our food was spent watching the various nearby birds which included pelicans and osprey. I would definitely come back(that is, if I didn’t live 500 miles away).

Great Happy Hour! This is a pricey restaurant that has a great Happy Hour. All gourmet appetizers are $ 5, plus the chef prepares 3 additional each night, house wines are $ 5 and it isn’t cheap wine, $ 2.50 beers. We sat outside on the creek. Good service, great food, would go back. Have torches for bugs and warmers if cold. The dining room looked nice too. All staff was very friendly.

Sarasota’s four star. The Table is excellent, even our visiting friend from Napa loved it. Make sense? Have the short ribs and a bottle of Stags Leap. Let the dream begin.

Great casual setting and ambiance. Ate outside w my family on the deck along Philippi creek. Creative menu options and nice food. But slow service and extremely pricey. Entrees(w/o starter or sides) in the $ 40 to 50 range would not surprise me in London or NYC, but shocked me here! While the setting would draw me back, the prices will keep me from returning.

The wait staff and bartenders have been great but quality is definitely lacking. If you like $ 9 Captain Morgans and Sysco food then by all means go. Odd atmosphere with a small bar as you walk in which has very limited seating. As you walk back it looks like they’re preparing for the early bird crowd with 80’s décor. It’s a shame that the wait staff and location are undermined by sub par management and ownership.

What a great place. Great view, great food and Zachary was a great server. We had the poached pear salad, organic chicken spring rolls, veal chop, cauliflower purée, truffle mashed potatoes and potato galette.

***This is a review of The Table Creekside’s happy hour only.*** I am a beer drinker but none of the beers that were on draft were very exciting. I was not disappointed in my $ 5 happy hour mojito. Mojitos are annoying as hell for bars to make, but they did a great job and didn’t skimp on the alcohol. We had 5 happy hour dishes, including the sea bass fritters, bacon jam flatbread, beef tenderloin skewer, spinach fondue, and nacho oysters. Portions are very small, but we knew that coming into it which made it easier to digest when our food came out. Just be prepared to receive 1 beef skewer, 2 oysters, a couple of pieces of pita with your spinach fondue, etc. My favorite dish was the sea bass fritters. This place is perfect for people on a diet! I am not on a diet though so I picked up a burrito on the way home. Excellent service all around though and I will eventually make my happy hour rotation back to this place.

We’ve been to The Table about a dozen times over the last few years, and it just keeps getting better. It’s one of the few places in the area where you can have BOTH waterfront dining AND delicious food that goes beyond a blackened grouper sandwich. The views of the Phillippi Creek are excellent — glass windows all around and outside dining that offers glimpses of a variety of birds and fish. Though we’ve had a few poor experiences with service in the past, that has not been the case recently. Our servers have been attentive, professional and helpful. There are several craft cocktails to choose from. Linse likes the Hendrick — a cucumber and rosemary martini. The wine menu is decent and features a variety of global whites and reds in addition to some good California wines. The food is the star of the show, as it should be. While we normally don’t like to order the same thing twice, we’ve had the Napa Grilled Octopus tapa each of our last three visits. Not only is it the tastiest octopus I’ve ever had(and I’ve had plenty in both Europe and North America), but it is in my humble opinion hands down the tastiest tapa in all of Sarasota. We’ve had few entrees that we didn’t like, including a variety of seafood dishes. Happily, The Table features some local seafood, including a Florida lobster and a regular special local catch — from hog snapper to wahoo.

The Table completes the seafood offering on Philippi Creek. With its associated casual place, the Philippi Creek Oyster Bar, you have your choice between casual downscale(think steamed shellfish pots and paper towels) and The Table, which is an upscale fish place with some outstanding dishes. We had the lemon sea bass and the paella(and no, the rice wasn’t at all like rice-a-roni). Both were good. For a lazy afternoon with a pitcher or two of beer and fried shrimp, try The Creek. For a real seafood dinner(including a bouillabaise that looked genuine on another table) go to The Table. At about $ 150 for two it’s not cheap, but it’s well worth it and not that much more than other good Sarasota restaurants.
