I received chocolate covered strawberries today from my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day, not only were they delicious, the chocolate was so good and the strawberries were so fresh! I love them. I told my boyfriend I needed more chocolate from here! Yum! Will definitely be in for some more goodies !

I ordered the«Ultimate Tuna Melt»…are you kidding me??? It was a cold… bread…cold cheese… plain sandwich with tomato. Nothing Melted or Ultimate about it for $ 9.00. I won’t be going back.

What a great find! Delicious entrees that almost all include chocolate or cocoa. Furthermore the service is amazing. We had one person who had dietary restrictions and they accommodated us. I had the apple Brie sandwich and it was awesome!

Yum, yum! I wish I wasn’t just visiting Sarasota because I would be at this place all the time. A quaint little shop disguised as a «chocolate café» was delightful and much more than just chocolate. We enjoyed the SS signature salad, cold plate, and chicken salad on a croissant. The yum yum chicken salad was by far the favorite, but the chocolate covered bacon strip on top of the salad was a nice touch. Of course, we had to end the lunch with a slice of chocolate cake. Overall, a splendid experience. Can’t wait to visit next time I’m down visiting mom. :-)

Live nearby? Great place to stop in for lunch. Great fresh lunch food in addition to their chocolate.

They have a lunch café and the panini is awesome! I had the turkey. The desserts look fabulous too.

Over-priced for what you get. Surprisingly, my last negative review of this place disappeared. I am suspicious.

over-priced, mediocre chocolates. with so many shops to choose from, why would you buy here?

I enjoyed the salad more the first time I went than the second, but still good. Nice café options and everytime I am there, lots of people come in for quiche to go. I should try it, already! I hope they hire professional waitstaff when they can afford them, because that is a big«opportunity» area for them.

Well, here I go again… It’s hard to give an honest review when everyone before me gave the place 5 stars. The concept is fabulous, and the truffles and other confections look amazing. I did not have a chance to try them and will have to return another time just for the chocolates. The facility is airy and pleasant. I came to try the lunch, because I was planning on bringing a friend for her birthday later this month. My experience was very awkward. I ordered the spicy Aztec hot chocolate, which I make at home sometimes because I love the combination of sweet and spicy. I also ordered the veggie panini, which I was informed did not come on a panini but rather on a wrap because«it is easier to eat». Since it was my first time, I figured I’ll go along with whatever, just to see what kind of experience it will turn out to be. I first got the hot chocolate, which did not have even a hint of spice. I would have returned it, but did not see the server again until I had sipped about half of the drink. When she brought the food, I mentioned it to her, and she asked if I wanted them to spice it up a bit more, but it was hardly worth messing with at this point. I would have expected her to just whisk it away and bring me a new one, no questions asked… The Veggie dish ended up being like very wet veggie tacos, kind of like a salad in a taco, with tiny amounts of lettuce, tomato, avocado, and something crumbly that looked like quinoa, dripping every time I took a bite. There were supposed to be hummus, spinach and swiss cheese on it, but they must have been invisible because there wasn’t any of it. The whole thing was very bland. I really don’t understand what would have been so difficult making this on the focaccia that they use for their paninis, and it would have been a lot more filling. The dish was also advertised to come with a fruit salad, which consisted of a tiny cup of cantaloupe chunks which still had some peel on them, a few halved grapes, and two pieces of unripe strawberries. The cost of the Veggie tacos was $ 8.99, the hot chocolate(about 6 oz of it) $ 4.50. I say, charge whatever you want for something that is so good that people are tearing down the door for it. And then give the service that should go with it. This was not it!

I am a chocoholic and was thrilled when this café opened in my neighborhood. I hope others discover this location. Tucked away near the Publix off Clarke Rd. just west of Honore on Palmer blvd. You can order wonderfully delicious and creative gift baskets filled with chocolate delights. The truffles are not only delicious but are beautiful! There’s a pastry chef on the premises and you will enjoy the croissants, scones, Danish, biscotti and more. You must also try their«made on the premises» SEAFOAM, that wonderful sponge candy, popular in the north, dipped in milk chocolate. Amazing!!! As for the café, it’s open in the morning for a coffee and Danish treat, and for lunch and on 3 evenings it is open for dinner. Lots of seating. Many items on the menu offer a hint of chocolate, like the cocoa infused salad dressing, or the chili with chocolate… just enough to give the chili a rich flavor. My toasted Brie and apple panini with a chocolate dip was excellent. My friend loved her veggie wrap with side salad with above mentioned salad dressing. The coffee is a hot or cold treat. Unflavored or a yummy flavor of the day. In the near future the café will offer a fabulous chocolate wine. I was lucky and had a taste sample, not for purchase just yet.
