I’ve been having my hair done, color and cut, by Dat Truong since he relocated to the area in 2012. Since then every member of my family has switched! He is personable, fun, reliable and most importantly extremely talented.
The one thing I have always looked for in colorists is consistency. I get a fabulous cut and color EVERY TIME.
You cannot go wrong!

I had one of the best haircuts I have ever had. It is now three weeks since the cut and people are still admiring it. My hair was cut by Dat who one needs to call at 908 400 7849.

I had my hair cut and colored by Dat last year when I was here. Booked another appointment with him this year. He is great at cutting your hair and also color. It is the best hair cut I have ever had. Make an appointment with him if you can get in. You won’t regret it.

I decided to go to Dat Truong based on all the good reviews here, and he did not disappoint! I first texted him my problem… a while back I got a pixie undercut, but I’ve been trying to grow out the top while buzzing the inside myself. Worked for a while until the top hair got longer and the uneven lengths became really obvious. So I started growing everything out, including the buzzed parts, in hopes of having more hair to work with to fix up later. He texted me back within a few hours, and we set up an appointment that same week.
When I went in, we talked about what options I had; it was definitely a tricky job because of how uneven my hair was, both length and distribution… it was just a mess haha. But he was really easygoing about it, explaining a few options of what he could try. I went with the option where he cut everything short again, gave me sideswept bangs, and generally evened everything out. but now when I grow it out, it’ll grow out a lot nicer. So much cleaner than the uneven mess I had before!
Dat is super friendly, personable, really fun to talk to, and definitely knows his stuff. He was also really helpful in explaining how I can maintain my hair and different styles I can try out with my new look.

If you’re ever in the area and in need of a good haircut, go to Dat. He is an amazing stylist! Hands down. I had just had a haircut a week prior in Chicago, my hometown. My hair was not lying right in Chicago and it was even worse in Florida with all the humidity. After reading several reviews about Studio B Creative Urban Salon, I decided to make a hair appointment with Dat. I explained my situation over text and told him I was in town for only a week. He was extremely accommodating by squeezing me in on a Saturday. He worked his magic and gave me an incredible style. His technique has never been done on me in Chicago, and believe me, I’ve been to all the so called posh salons in the city that are located on Michigan Avenue, the Gold Coast and River North. They don’t know what they’re doing, as I have had terrible styles over the years.
Dat initially cut my hair dry and then washed it and cut it again. He did something called an undercut and used different scissors to style my hair. I could immediately tell that my hair was going to lay right, as the cut was very precise. I was so pleased with the results. My mom too was extremely impressed so she decided to book an appointment with him. Her haircut came out amazing as well. She was so pleased.
I’m now back in Chicago and my hair couldn’t look better. How I wish I could find someone as talented as Dat in my local area. He is a true artist. Plus he is extremely personable and interesting to talk to. My overall experience was a 10. I honestly don’t know if I’m going to let anyone cut my hair in Chicago after having it cut with Dat. I think it’s worth the wait in going back for a cut with him.

Love Studio B, beautiful atmosphere with more to offer then getting your hair done. Susan always does a fabulous job with my cut, color and style of my hair and my daughters’. Always a positive experience!

Susan at Studio B is friendly, attentive and listens very very well. I have curly hair and need to get it trimmed and styled. I have had «issues» with other stylists, but Susan exceeded my expectations. She gave me great advice to aid me with my hair and was not the least bit pushy. My hair looked amazing afterwards!!! I felt so welcomed and special sitting in her chair. Quite honestly, I didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend Susan. You will not be disappointed.

I had a haircut with Dat several months ago. He was so friendly and sweet! He was super accommodating and honest about what his capabilities are as a stylist. Let me say, he knows his stuff! My hair came out great and I’m excited to go back.
Recently I received a terrible haircut from another Sarasota salon across town. Big mistake! Now I know to go to Studio B first!

After reading reviews for Dat, I called for an appointment for a root color touch up and trim. He did an amazing job! His personality is very upbeat and outgoing. I plan to return for another appointment before returning north and hope my regular stylist can duplicate the cut.

Dat was so professional and accommodating. The humidity was working a crazy thing on my hair and I was desperate for a new style. Dat squeezed me in with a few hours notice and I got one of my best styles ever. He has an artistic eye and shaped my hair to fit my personal style and face (I’m 44 not 84.) I was searching all over Sarasota for a stylist experienced in cutting men’s hair.

Each stylist rents a space at the salon. Dat Truong was recommended to me for a cut and color by the manicurist at the salon next door, Nail Zone. Both are fabulous, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Dat foiled my hair with 2 different colors and had to use at least 3 different scissors for my short cut. I love it. The salon is clean and quiet and very tastefully decorated. Dat is so reasonable. .$ 35 for a cut and $ 35 for a color. I told him that I would « Unilocal,» and he said good, but that he had never used it. Tell him Jane from, Chicago sent you — and Unilocal.
You won’t be disappointed.

Very nice and friendly service. This is a place where you can relax and get beautified at the same time. Susan is awesome!!!
