What an amazing place this is! Go there to checkout the interior and of course for some delicious food. I had a nice cocktail called pineapple tea and cavatappi Mac and cheese. I couldn’t finish the Mac and cheese — their portions are really generous– but took the leftover with me and had it for breakfast the next day!

Me and my girlfriend went here on 6÷18÷16 and sat down to an absolutely beautiful interior and beautiful exterior. The food was absolutely perfect and honestly I did not have one complaint about the establishment. I got to talking with one of the owners and we was fantastic. I will be going here again in the future.

Went there for my daughters birthday on cinco de mayo. Relatively crowded but were seated quickly eve without reservations. Had the open steak sandwich which was great. Well cooked. Well seasoned. Great staff. Waitress I believe was Sommer sorry for spelling. She was probably the best waitress we have had in a year or so made the night even better. Toll house dessert is a must.

Excellent food, excellent ambiance, excellent service. Went here with some friends for dinner. One of our party worked here and had great things to say. I’m very critical of capital region restaurants as I am from Long Island. If you are not good on LI you don’t stay open. Up here it’s kind of different. With that being said I did not expect much despite hearing good things. I sat down and their was already rolls on the table. I discovered that these rolls were actually amazing buttermilk biscuits. Damn they were good. I’m pissed I didn’t throw some in my girlfriends purse. For an appetizer we ordered a tier which included calamari, some chili chicken bites and the best mozzarella sticks I ever had. I learned from our friend that they only used fresh mozzarella and hand breaded them on site. For our meals my girlfriend and I split 2 entrees. We ordered the steak with Gorgonzola crust and the crabmeat stuffed portobello mushroom over rice. These two dishes were both phenomenal. The Gorgonzola topping just threw my NY strip into the 4th dimension. The crabmeat stuffing was perfect which is surprising being landlocked in the capital region. For dessert we all shared. The apple crisp was hands down the best I ever had in a restaurant. This place was awesome, definitely can not wait to go back.

Only an ok place to eat. The food was nothing to write home about. I liked OBI when they had their old menu. Now, it’s overpriced bar food. I’ve had better french onion soup and pasta elsewhere in the area. We won’t be back.

Nothing special here’s why! My date and I arrive at around 730 the place is busy but not packed. The hostess tells us a 10 min wait(whatever) so we head to the bar to get a drink no big deal. We are not at the bar long enough to get a drink and take a sip and we get called. No one is waiting behind us to have diner now what’s the rush Da. So now we are taken to our seats that are surrounded by kids and infants. Mind you we are a couple most definitely dressed better than most here for a night out. I instruct the bimbo hostess(she just got demoted to bimbo) we would wait at the bar for a booth and finally have our drinks that have now traveled threw the restaurant. Off to a bad start . On to the diner itself . Rolls fresh baked no taste . Salad which some idiot decided to put on a very small plate with the dressing in a cup on that same small plate so as you eat your salad it falls off the plate on to the table. Very annoying My date ordered the soup of the night tomato something and it had a nice texture to it but was way to salty we both felt . I ordered the turkey diner with jarred gravy yum that tried to hide the fact that the mashed potatoes were terrible and the stuffing even worse. Both were dry and without taste. My date ordered a special pumpkin ravioli with chicken and she said the sauce on top was way to creamy and she only ate half. The service was ok but we got a thank you from across the room after we paid it looked like the server wanted to finish her clean up duties and go home. Whatever totally lost why this old bar has 4 starts for its food maybe because it has a following that knows no better . Fire the chefs and I will be back they belong at Burger King.

Great place to get comfort food in a cozy setting. The first thing you notice when you walk in the door is the lovely fireplace. The wait staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Our server Kayla was terrific and very attentive. I had the chicken provencal and my husband had their take on a Reuben sandwich. The food was tasty and the portions were beyond generous. I brought back half of my meal and had it for lunch the following day. We didn’t have dessert, but our neighbors raved over the Tollhouse Ice Cream Sundae.

What a quaint and delicious spot in Saratoga Springs! The French onion soup is incredible, their service was top notch and that toll house pie sundae is off the charts ridiculous! We stopped in there on the way to VT and AGAIN on the way back to NJ it was so good lol — great place!

Home run. Good service, good beer, and homemade chips at the bar. Got a Chicken Caesar(yes I know, not exactly a tough guy meal) that was big and tasty. I will be visiting next time I’m in town.

GORGEOUS atmosphere. Indifferent wait staff. The special soup of the day, Barley beef, was God awful salty, had to send it back. The French onion was good. The prime rib sandwich was beyond shoe leather. Should have sent it back. Drink special of Ginger Mules were watery with little vodka. Loved the wood smell but unfortunately there is so many excellent choices in Saratoga, spend your money elsewhere.

I love this place. Every time we come I. To town for a long weekend this is the first place we pop into. The Saratoga lager goes very well with anything on the menu I always get the cranberry turkey panini. Love the ambiance and the service.

Good food in a cozy, rustic setting. OBI is housed in a centuries-old building that goes back to the colonial era. Setting is part of the charm here. There’s a roaring fireplace with a beautiful stone mantel in the bar area, something you’ll definitely appreciate on colder evenings. On a recent visit, we ordered two different pork chop entrees(the apple cider variant that’s part of the standard menu, plus a special that night that was grilled with rosemary), the prime rib, a burger, and a chicken Caesar salad. The pork chop entrees were both great: thick, juicy chops, grilled perfectly with lots of flavor. The prime rib was tender and flavorful, cooked perfectly to order. Our entrees all came with appetizer salads, so we didn’t order any additional appetizers. Because of that, and because the wine list was reasonably priced, our total bill was less than I might have expected, perfectly reasonable for what we were served. Service was friendly, attentive, casual. OBI projects more as an upscale pub than as fine dining. Graded on a fine dining curve, it’s probably closer to 3 stars, but as a more casual, pub-type place, it gets bumped up to 4, especially given the setting. Would(will) definitely return.

Out of town guests had eaten there and when they came for a visit we all went out for dinner. Two in our group had turkey dinner, one had chicken over pumpkin ravioli and one had crab and shrimp portobello. All meals were generous in portion and delicious as well. Worth the money for sure. Deserts were ice cream sundae over chocolate chip cookie and crime brûlée. Both were shared and enjoyed. We went early on a Saturday, before 5 and enjoyed Seating near the fireplace. Will be back, enjoyed ourselves and the meal!

This has always been a consistent place with good food reasonable prices. Service has always been good as well. The type of place you go and know that you’ll get a good meal and nice service. A staple in Saratoga.

I still dream about their muffins and it was about 6 months ago that I visited Sarasota springs. Those muffins are so damn good-they’re soft, succulent, melt in your mouth goodness. I had the salmon which was ok but the waitress was so sweet and those muffins I still dream about is well worth a 2nd trip. I had their French onion soup. It was amazing!!!

I came here for a business lunch and it was just fine. We made a reservation for 6 a week in advance, and our party ended up shrinking in half by the time we got there. The staff had no issue with seating us at a smaller table and we were glad for it. My colleagues got some sandwiches, and I opted for the strawberry almond salad, which was delicious. They served it with a little pumpkin muffin which was scrumptious. If you’re in town looking for a lunch spot– check them out. It’s good eating with great service.

I can’t believe that I haven’t written a review previously! I’ve been going here for years and even have a «frequent flyer» account.(FYI — it’s a «points» system that accumulates over each visit to OBI or sister restaurant Longfellows… they keep a record of points using your phone number). My most recent visits(in the past 2 years or so) are usually with out of town guests. Last night was one of those meals — the ‘rents are visiting for a long weekend from da city(and they’ve been to OBI before… and really like it). The 3 star review isn’t really based on last night’s meal — it’s on my cumulative experiences thus far. Service is consistently friendly and efficient. Never had a complaint about the people that work here. The food, however, can be inconsistent at times. Sometimes it’s outstanding and other times it’s just OK. Assume it has to do with the chef that happens to be there a the time. That said, the salads, french onion soup and most of the appetizers are always good choices. The turkey dinner and various open faced sandwiches are also great. Dessert? The chocolate mousse always delivers — it’s fabulous. If you happen to be a tourist and are staying at the Courtyard Marriott just down the street, you qualify for a 10% discount on your check. Just show them your room key. The atmosphere here is awesome; I love the history of the place and rumor has it that it’s haunted. :)
